The IHG Green Engage system is our group-wide online sustainability program. It allows hotels to track, measure, and report on their carbon footprint and utility consumption as well as recommending more than 200 ‘Green Solutions’ which help deliver greater sustainability.
The IHG Green Engage system:
• Measures energy, waste, and water use
• Recommends over 200 Green Solutions to reduce the impacts our energy, waste, and water use have on the environment
• Supports hotels to create environmental action plans and targets
• Promote local sustainability initiatives such as low carbon alternative means of transport
• Biodiversity: keeping the disturbance of animals, plants, and their natural habitats to a minimum. A set of recommendations aimed at preserving and protecting on-site local flora and fauna and the wider regional ecosystems has been developed. This includes advice on the management of green spaces and long-term strategies for protecting local environments.
Green Globe
Green Globe’s International Standard for Sustainable Tourism is a certification scheme that requires hotels to report on their sustainability performance throughout their supply chains. It traces its roots back to the United Nations Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit in 1992, where 182 Heads of State endorsed the Agenda 21 principles of Sustainable Development. The standards are a collection of over 330 compliance indicators that are applied to 41 individual sustainability criteria - these can be divided into four themes:

Clients can calculate their CO2e footprint, the financial cost of that CO2e, and track their performance of energy and water consumption and non-recyclable waste production. The certification is only awarded to members that have a compliance rating of at least 51%. The award can then only be maintained if members continually improve by 3% every year.

Good hotel, very good service. The only issue is that the gym is for a daily payment of USD 10. However, this is a real gym, so if you have the time to really work out it's worth it

Staybridge Suites Sao Paulo is an ok hotel. The best qualities are the location and staff. The hotel is located in a decent area. It is part of an open mall that has food establishments, a few small shops and cinema. The area is safe enough to walk around. The hotel room itself has a nice decor. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There were two downsides: the bath linen was stained and when obtaining room service, the local delivery restaurants did not speak English so I had to call the Front Desk to place an order. But overall, I wouldn't mind staying here again if I am ever back in Sao Paulo.

Great place to stay in Itaim. Staff is very friendly and speak English as well as Portuguese. The rooms are very comfortable and have a small kitchenette which comes in handy.

7E0-116: Nice suite rooms at reasonable price. A little different and better than most Staybridges in US. I've always seen these in a 3-4 story tall buidings in the US. Usually marketed for extended stay. This one is a high-rise building and part of some square with restaurants, movie theatre, bookstore, gift stores part of the square. The square becomes place to go to for locals to spend nice evenings having fun. This hotel is therefore at a great location. There are other good restaurants witin the walking distance. Included breakfast was across the street in a restaurant and was great.

I have been staying for one year in the hotel , it has excellent staff , good rooms , excellent location , many restaurants are behind the hotel , Kinoplex cinema is also there , very safe area , can't ask more . Gym staff is not courteous as others

This is a good hotel to stay for business, definitely not for vacation. Breakfast needs a lot of improvement, there's comfort facilities. Price is fare for a city like São Paulo, and the rooms are good.

All i can say is the hotel is on a great location, thats it! They dont have anything that adds value or 'explain' their higher rates (+ you have to PAY to use the GYM!)I just called them 3 times to make a reservation and emailed with all the details and still ended up with 3 different rates. Staff is always changing, so i had to wait on the phone couple times to receive basic information.Too sad i got to the point to write a bad review. I hope they can upgrade their service.

The hotel itself is very good and impressive, with Cinema and countless bars, stores and restaurantsbright under it, but the gym advertised in the website is not really part of the hotel administration as they make it look like, it is not included in the stay and it costs R$36 DAILY, which is an absurd!

Os quartos estão novos em 2017, a equipe foi estranhamente receptiva, nos recebeu super bem, 20 17 recebemos um presente ao retornarmos para o hotel após nosso jantar para comemorar o aniversário de casamento, um vinho e bolachas de tapioca. A estada inclui o café da manhã e acesso a piscina e academia. A piscina é bastante simples, o sol só bate das 11h as 13h, mas a academia parece super nova. Quartos incluem AC, TV a cabo, amenities de banheiro, cofre, roupões e frigobar.

The staff is amazing!!! Front desk, management, special thanks goes for Patricia from the breakfast restaurant. At this time the only compalint is about the maids, slamming the doors all day, hard to sleep when you have been working all night.
