Quite simply , the best taster menu and wine flight we've ever had the privilege of eating. Truly stunning. Worth staying purely for the food.

An amazing hotel - great food, friendly efficient staff and a wonderful location. The moment you step inside the hotel you feel relaxed as if having entered a diffetent world. The Georgian building has been lovingly decorated and each room is a joy to be in. The bedrooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. The grounds add to the ambience and a walk around them is highly recommended. If you dine in the redtaurant you won't be disappointed - surely inly a matter of time until a Michelin star is awarded. We will be back.

We first went to the restaurant here and loved the food and atmosphere so much that we came back to get married here! The grounds are amazing and the food is worth more than its 2 AA rosettes. The staff are impeccable and trained to the highest standard. The hotel and rooms are extremely luxurious - we felt like royalty.
I'd live here if I could!

Beautiful stately home converted to a hotel, still with a stately home feel. My daughters loved the resident dog. Fantastic formal and vegetable gardens.

Sunday lunch not much atmosphere but elegant surroundings. Staff very friendly & attentive. Would have expected better cloakroom facilities on ground floor for the restaurant. Lunch menu ok nothing out of the ordinary for what I would have expected. Had the beef & my friend also chose the same unfortunately wrong choice it was very tough a lot of gristle. Goats cheese starter ok & also Panacotta dessert but neither to rave over. Coffee & tea on the terrace afterward was very nice & relaxing as it was a glorious sunny day. Drinks expensive but I’d expect to pay more for dining in such a notable place. I would go back more for a special occasion on an evening maybe the menu would be more adventurous.

Lovely friendly and helpful staff and a country house you can stay. It doesn't feel like a hotel, you are a house guest. Food I sampled was very good. Very pressed with decor, atmosphere and heritage, recommended

Great if you like the faux opulence combined with sterile, echoing atmosphere of the tea room. It's hard to enjoy an afternoon tea, as good as it was, in uncomfortable silence.

If you are looking for a relaxing weekend break in a unique setting with your dog, I would strongly recommend SEP - despite some minor cosmetic updating needed in places this does not take away anything at all from this unique listed hotel. The food and level of service from the attentive members of staff matched the well kept grounds. The only slight negative I would suggest was that some of the residents took advantage of the hotels relaxed attitude to dogs and didn't clean up after their own four-legged friends as they should. I think the hotel should provide a roll of bags to all dog owning residents so there are no excuses. Over all we had a great break, were well looked after and we would gladly recommend this hotel.

From the pictures and the description, one would expect a bit more than average for the afternoon tea. The plates and cups were more akin to British rail canteen circa 1970. The cakes were Ok but lacking finesse and looked rather plunked there. The all experience was ok as were had the whole drawing room to ourselves. We came on the recommendation of local B &B owners, but they even felt it would not warranty a repeat visit.

Eight of us met to celebrate two 70th birthdays.
The staff were friendly and fun and looked after us so well, even giving us our own private room for breakfast.
Nice touch in being taken to the room to sign in rather than hang around at reception.
Lovely grounds to walk around, good baths / showers, comfy beds, superb rooms and good food.
Thank you to all at Ston Easton who made it so special.

My wife and I just had a glorious weekend thanks to the attentiveness, professionalism and friendliness of the Ston Easton Park staff. From our initial friendly greeting by Oscar (the house Cocker Spaniel) until our departure we felt very welcome and comfortable. Every aspect of our visit exceeded our expectations. That’s quite an accomplishment, given that I’ve spent well over 1000 nights in hotels, inns, country homes and other forms of accommodation. Each of the several public rooms is a comfortable museum in its own right. The fireplaces are amazing. Our room was beautifully decorated with antiques. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was equipped with modern, complementary futures.
Perhaps the highlight of the weekend was the meal we had in your restaurant on Saturday evening. Head Chef Daniel aspires to Michelin Star status. Judging by the extraordinary meal we enjoyed, I would say he’s already there.
Every member of staff was accommodating, efficient and engaging, with just the right balance of formality and friendliness.
We simply could not have enjoyed our weekend more. We look forward to our next visit to our new “home” in Somerset with great anticipation.

Our stay here was excellent in every way. Even down to the menu not changing over the 3 days we were there and the chef cooking us something not on the menu. We were lucky enough to have several helicopters arrive and take off whilst we sat in the window bays of our room and looked on. The staff were always available for our littlest whim and always polite, friendly and professional. The house is stunning, the grounds expansive and the afternoon tea to be recommended if you're just in the area.

Dinner at the Sorrel Restaurant was superb in every way. Matthew Butcher is a quiet, efficient and very creative chef. A few weeks after arriving at Ston Easton, he cooked my best ever first course - salmon smoked in Lapsang Souchong. Sadly that wasn't on the menu, but the foie gras came a close second best. Everything was perfect - the house, the setting and the staff.
