Taj Fateh Prakash Palace
Maharana Fateh Singh one of the greatest Maharanas of Mewar ruled from 1885 to 1935.This palace constructed during his reign as an exclusive venue for royal functions has been meticulously preserved for discerning guests.
The Durbar hall which is one of the main features of the hotel is of historical significance as in 1909 Lord Minto the Viceroy of India laid its foundation stone The hall was originally called Minto Hall in his honour.
Located on the eastern shores of the picturesque Lake Pichola the palace seems to have floated straight out of a fairytale

A beautiful lake view hotel with palatial feel, just next to the City Palace. Can walk around anywhere.

Food super fine. Each and every dish was excellent....REALLY

Hospitality is the best in class. One just enjoys the stay tension free. The view from the room is awesome. Only one point, it would be worthwhile to explain the guests how to reach as almost full Udaipur is under maintenance.

The hospitality and service we received was extraordinary. The stay was up to the mark. High level of sanitisation is maintained. Food is extraordinary. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities you need. You really feel royal while your stay here. Highly recommended. Value for money for sure.

I had been to this hotel on 29th August.
A really good property.
Good rooms with great architecture.
Great location besides the Pichola lake.
A nice experience of a heritage property.
The thing which was lacking was the Covid safety measures which are very much necessary and important which was very deficient in this hotel.
We opted for a Taj property just as we were very much worried about the hygiene measures of other hotels.
We had been to Taj Aravalli few weeks back and there they took great care for Covid safety and that made us go back again to the Taj property.
But this was not a good experience of Taj in terms of Coronavirus safety measures.
These was not expected from a Taj property.
1. Many of the staff members were wearing their masks below their nose.
2. No staff member was wearing a face shield which they used to do atleast in Taj Aravalli 2 weeks back. Atleast the food serving staff is supposed to wear a face shield as while eating the guests are naturally without masks.
3. There was no social distancing followed in the restaurant where there were almost every table occupied with very less distance between the tables.
4. In the breakfast they kept a Buffet, where people had to self serve from the vessels which could be a huge source of infection spread.
Would really appreciate if a good hotel brand such as Taj would maintain the best standards of safety and hygiene and does not dissapoint in terms of safety when I visit any Taj property again.

The property is absolutely astounding with breathtaking views of the lake. Staff assisted with a smooth check-in and even offered a complimentary room upgrade to accommodate our family and ensure the utmost luxurious experience for us. The property is an absolute wonder with views and access to the city palace which is a marvel of the olden era; not to mention the rooms have a palatial vibe and setup giving one the sense of being in a royal ambience. The overall customer service in every sector was exceptional. Received the utmost pampering as it was my birthday and the management delivered surprises galore. Being a Taj property, the costs can seem overwhelming, but do not be mistaken as this property really does outdo itself in every aspect of service and luxury. Looking forward to a second visit at the Taj FatehPrakash Palace.
