Lovely hotel nice golf course the pool and spa are great have stayed and played many times before covid 19

Perhaps I was too harsh. The bed sheets triggered an asthma attack for me, I'm not sure why. Perhaps the room was sprayed with freshener which had settled on the sheets? I don't know but this is the reason I didn't give more stars. However staff were friendly and the hotel clean and food excellent. So I've ammended my review to 4 stars.

We have stayed for one night spa breaks on two occasions and will continue to do so.

The spa has a lovely medium sized pool with relaxing blue lighting and sauna and steam room.

The spa rooms was clean, relaxing with friendly attentive staff.

There is a decent sized gym upstairs with a good range of equipment that was quiet during the afternoons I used it.

Rooms are clean and compact, very corporate in styling.

The restaurant's offer a small but very tasty menu in a very relaxing atmosphere where you don't feel pressured to move on.

Buffet breakfast is well worth the money.

Would highly recommend.

Wonderful spa day for two...
Greeted by extremely friendly and professional staff, quality of treatments themselves were wonderful, relax area was nice, made to feel very welcome.

Spa facilities were good - sauna, steam, ice fountain & large pool (shared with families and children too) But wasn't too busy when we went

Hotel and place is a little dated, but I believe it will be taken over by Marriott soon with plans for a large refurbishment.

Just stayed for 1 night at the hotel. Staff very friendly & helpful. Rooms are spacious & clean. Good variety of drinks however food was average. Gym looked fantastic. Seems like a decent place place for a weekend of golf as there are 2 bars / restaurants.

I went for a massage a while after giving birth to my son and I must say, it was the best gift I’d received from my husband post pregnancy. The spa is very clean and relaxing. Not too keen on the relaxing room though at the end of the hallway. I would suggest if they added some drinking water and a couple of cups to finish off the experience on a high note. I’d be nice to sip on something while spending a few minutes relaxing before heading home.

Spa stay overnight included the best buffet breakfast I've ever had, nice 3 course lunch and £28 towards dinner-only paid for wine! Great stay regarding food and staff helpfulness. However Spa treatments weren't up to standard and twin bed left me in back pain the next morning 😕

Visited the hotel for a hen party. The room was spacious, although it needs air conditioning. The pool was lovely.
The staff from start to finish were brilliant, although they may need extra staff to man the bar in the afternoon.
our spa treatments were amazing, the lady who did mine put my mind at ease as it's the first time I've had a spa treatment.
We experienced a little issue with some other people staying at the hotel who were being inappropriate. The staff dealt with this professionally and promptly, and the also communicated the issue with other staff throughout the hotel and spa to make sure the problem didn't occur again.
Our lunch and evening meals were absolutely lovely and cooked perfectly. If you phone ahead of your stay with any food allergies they will take these into account and try their best to avoid using anything that could cause any issue.
Overall our stay at the Telford hotel and golf and spa was lovely and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I was taken for a spa day as a belated birthday present. The staff couldn't have been more helpful after a mistake on my friend's part, they did everything possible to accommodate us and everything was perfect. I had a relaxing facial, amazing lunch and a lovely chilled day. Will definitely be visiting again soon!

Came here for a golf break and it was very enjoyable. The staff throughout the entire facility were first class, always polite and helpful. The food (both dinner and the breakfast) was really good.
The golf course itself was in excellent condition, the drainage after a downpour was fantastic.
Would highly recommend.

Nice location. With views food and rooms good but service at meal times slow. I like a leisurely meal but 40 mins for starters and another 40 mins for mains to be served.

Nice hotel. Rooms are clean and tidy. Restaurant food ok but wine pricey.

A great hotel (set up well):- nice rooms and there's a Spa/Swimming Pool you're welcome to use.

The staff are phenomenal and friendly. The food is exquisite. Nice atmosphere and cozy.

We felt welcomed by the Receptionist on arrival. Our room was clean, comfortable, a good size and had a view of the gorge in the distance. The pool, steam room and sauna were well kept and relaxing. Bar area was comfortable. Breakfast was reasonable. Only negative for our stay was the hairdryer in the room was useless, an old fashioned one where you need to keep your finger on the button to use it. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Visited for a spa day with a friend. Our day included use of the pool (lovely, especially the heated loungers by the steam room and sauna), a treatment (very relaxing massage) and lunch (a bit odd as it came in a TV dinner style tray and was not really what we expected. The fruit salad was barely a garnish, for instance). Overall though a really nice experience.

The facilities were good and the treatments were also done to a good standard. We also had a lunch which was good, however the starter was a tomato and basil soup, and I did state I was lactose intolerant. The waitress and chef did not know whether the soup actually contained any dairy products.

Stayed here on a short business trip. It is an excellent place, with very friendly staff. Checking was a breeze and the room was well equipped and very clean. The food in the restaurant is tasty and service is immaculate. The hotel has quite a big pool with a sauna and a steam room and once again staff are friendly and helpful. We left very early, but we got a packed breakfast and the night guard even opened the bar to make us coffee to go. Highly recommended.

We went to the New Years Eve family party which consisted of 3 course meal and disco to see in 2018. The meal was lovely and we loved the guy drawing caricatures and the magician between courses. All in all a nice evening.

Location was perfect for us as was a short distance from the wedding that we attended. The room was modern, spacious and clean. Everything that you expect was there I.e. tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, ample clean towels. The bed was comfy and clean. The breakfast in the morning was great, especially the pancakes, even the meat was locally sourced. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked for more. Did not use the spa facilities but we were tempted.

I went here for a work Christmas do, very nice place. Room looked good, staff were helpful and friendly. Good was very nice and plenty of it, didn't have to buy many drinks as work.paid for the majority, but the ones I did pay for were very expensive...£10.10 for two drinks (rum and coke). Very nice place and good surroundings.

I'm a gym member. I think it's the poshest one in Telford - hence it being a spa. Great staff and facilities. Only a jacuzzi would improve the experience.

I like this hotel. Rooms are big, comfortable and clean. The spa is lovely with complimentary use of pool, steam room & sauna. Beds are comfortable and it's usually fairly quiet. Breakfast is good too. Dinner in the restaurant is a bit expensive, but the food is good idea bit safe and unimaginative and the portions are generous. Drinks are 'hotel prices' so a bit steep but I usually take a bottle of wine to drink in my room.

Good bar with limited beer/larger but good atmosphere & service. Great quality breakfast & dinner. Conference facilities, only drawback was alarms going off in the corridor made for an unsettled night's sleep.

Visited the hotel for a spa break with a friend and found the quality and comfort of the room very good. The bed was large and comfy and I slept very well. My only complaint was that the safe was virtually on the ground so you had to bend down to lock and open it. There was a large range of breakfast items and what I had was very good. Our evening meals however were disappointing especially the soups. The spa area was attractive and clean but in the wet area I would have appreciated a hosed tap to wash down the seating areas of the steam room. The sauna however was spacious and first class. We didn't use the golf course or club but the grounds are lovely for a long walk or to chill out.

Love coming for spa days here. The staff are always so friendly. lovely restaurant for a quick lunch a cream tea or something more. Also had some lovely Christmas parties here.

The hotel is worthy of its 4 star writing the the rooms were very comfortable. The food is good and the service very good. The staff very polite and helpful.

Nice place! Rooms are comfortable, nice setting, gym is better than most hotels & spas, breakfast buffet is included in the room rate. Only reason not rated higher is the limited eating options in the vicinity.

Had such a wonderful experience on my spa weekend lovely relaxing treatments finished of with a relaxing glass of fizz and afternoon tea . Not only this but the staff throughout the hotel could not have been more helpful or friendly the views of the hills are fantastic and the room have everything you could possibly need . I would like to thank all the staff for making my stay so memorable and not to forget the food was delightful , hope to return very very soon . Thanks again guys

Attended a wedding there. It was beautiful staff were so nice from receptionist to waiting staff all very friendly. The hotel was beautiful very clean rooms everything you needed. Food very nice at the wedding breakfast and supper. Breakfast in the morning well served and very gd. Nice not be rushed even though it was very busy

Rooms very good, modern and clean. But a bit on the small side. Food good. We stayed when there was a wedding reception and a couple of golf tournaments. The hotel struggled to cope - so it's worth checking before you book. Looks a very good golf course.

Use this hotel for a group booking. We have very exacting requirements and the hotel and staff go way above all expectations. Food this weekend excellent. Staff in all areas very hard working and nothing is too much trouble. Hotel should be 5 star

attended the spa and had a massage treatment, staff were lovely and helpful. michael, our server of our light lunch was very friendly and chatty, made the time there lovely. overall, a lovely day would definitely go again.

Stayed at this lovely hotel after an event in Telford. We also had dinner dance arrangements in the hotel following the event. The room was very spacious and clean. Couldn't fault it. King-sized beds, fresh towels etc. Breakfast was also lovely. Didnt have time to try out the spa. Maybe next time.

Great Hotel! The hotel staff cater to your every need. The rooms are modest and the facilities are great whether your looking to relax u the spa, play for a round of golf or use the facilities for meetings.

Me and my partner were bought some treatments for the spa as a gift. We arrived in the afternoon and were offered lunch, even though we had missed the actual lunch times. Which was nice. The food was well presented and tastes lovely. After lunch we were nearly chased through the building by the manager of the bar/restaurant area, who assumed we were trying to leave without paying as their has been a lack of communication between himself and the reception area, in regards to our entitlements with the gift voucher. After we changed into the provided robes and slippers but we had to borrow a pound coin from reception for the lockers. I had a back massage and foot massage along with an exfoliating scrub and it was fantastic!. My partner had a facial and a hair treatment. We both loved it and the staff were excellent. After we declined to use the rest of the facilities such as the pool and spa. Due to kids swimming lessons being on. It was an enjoyable afternoon.

Compared to some 4 star places we've stayed it was very average. Small bar area and no jacuzzi in the spa. Restaurant was very busy but food was very good.

I booked a day spa at Telford hotel and Golf course which was excellent, my treatment was lovely and all of the staff were lovely especially the lady who did my treatment. Lunch was good and the hotel tried to accommodate my dietary requirements. My only disappointment was children splashing about and screaming in the pool but all in all a wonderful day.

Spa lovely and relaxing, great lunch and friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend a visit.

It's a nice venue. Went for Christmas meal with work. Food ok.

Stayed on a 3 days business trip, little pricy but overall good. Two twin beds smashed together was considered their king. Otherwise food and service were good.

Well ... what to say .... it was OK. Definitely not 4* but ok. My double bed was two separate beds (of different heights) pushed together. The room otherwise is fine but uninspiring. The shower was good but the towels appeared a little worn and a little grey. Average and ok for a night. For those who like to use the leisure facilities it may well prove to be quite an attractive option if only for the massive and inviting pool.

A lovely place. Went to the spa. Treatments were great. The young ladies were lovely. All in all had a great time .

I loved the hotel, pool, and spa.

The food was fairly good, though my main in the evening had a lot of oil (but tasted amasing), and the pudding was awful. The service for the evening meal also left A LOT to be desired. Friendly staff, but we were left waiting for our food for a long time and the table to be cealered after each course even though the restaurant was only half full and there were at least 10 members of staff walking around! The (self service) buffet style breakfast and lunch though was good.

The room along witht the rest of the place was great.

Room was spacious very comfortable and good size bed. Plenty of tea and coffee provided free. Restaurant meal was a little expensive but expected and was very decent meal. Spa facilities where great. Went for a spa day via Groupon. The staff provided good customer service. The gym doesn't have any weight plates so there is really no point in having a smith machine at all. Not a gym to do any proper resistance training in at all. The massage was good. I asked Kerry to get the knots out of the muscles on my back and she did a great job. Painful, but good massage! The swimming pool was filled with children and there was no jacuzzi. Also the sauna was off, so could only use the stream room.

This is my second experience of this hotel. The first was two years ago. From front of house check in to the end if two day stay was memorable. The staff were more than acommodating in every aspect of our stay. Very knowledgeable of local beauty spots to
visit. Food of an excellent quality befitting this hotel. Spa excellent as well as their staff I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Bad points lots of crockery was dirty not just the Dinning room but our cups in our room looked like just rinsed in sink coffee stains and glasses in bar lipstick ! Get better dishwasher detergent .

Lovely staff in the spa, chef was able to make me a vegetarian meal with no prior warning as I couldn't eat the vegetarian option available, which was very tasty. I booked on a whim via a spa breaks website and was delighted with the service I received. Would definitely return.
