The Leela Palace was exquisite, a decadent paradise. Every corner was beautifully prepared.We stayed for 3 nights in a junior suite which was wonderful, the attention to detail was impeccable, all the personal touches very appreciated.
Breakfast was a delight with a superb selection and very attentive staff. We dined in the Indian restaurant and this too was fabulous, again very attentive staff.
The pool area was great, immaculately presented, Chandra looked after us so well, a big thank you to him.
The manager & his staff were just fantastic, our stay was simply incredible, thank you Leela Palace Chennai.

One of the best hotels I've been to. And the level of service is impressive by world standards. Only downside is that the pool was under maintenance and not available. The hotel claimed it notified us but it did not. Anyway, they had a solution. Not an ideal one but a solution. They still deserve all the stars. It's an a wonderful hotel.

Facilities are top notch. Rooms are well equipped. Breakfast is delicious. Will be back.

Lovely place. Lives up to its name, built like a palace. Spectra restaurant is really spectacular. Unbelievable spread of delicacies. And 2900 deal with unlimited drinks is an absolute steal. Good drink choices too.

Very well managed Star Hotel. Had been there for 3 days. Very very neat and clean. Excellent service by buffer service boys. Well mannered and respectful. Food served all the 3 days were not as expected to be in this kind of 7 star hotel. It was normal compared to normal restaurants on the road side. Housekeeping was excellent through out the hotel. I wish food could be improved more according to the 7 star rated standards.

This is not to complain but encouragement to bring out the talent and creativity in the food area. Apart from the food, all other services were excellent. Thank you.

Amazing hospitality. I was staying there with the Madurai team (my husband is a player) during their final match. Loved the place. One of the best elite hotels I've stayed in.

Good rooms and great location but this is where the story ends. In terms of service looks like property is managed by someone else definitely not Leela, they can't go so wrong. It is not department specific it was across, be it Housekeeping, room service , restaurant or front desk. Worst is room phone god forbidden if someone has to order food in room or ask for any service you need three attempts (not rings) before some one picks it then the call is transferred to relevant department which doesn't pick as well then on fourth attempt there will be promise to call back but sad that doesn't happen either. So in short keep buffer for 1 hour before ordering food. And many more such things , try it to experience it 😊

I am visiting Chennai to work with IIT Madras. My friend had been here before and recommended that we visit the S. Indian restaurant downstairs. Aside from the beautiful decor and the thoughtful diagonal layout of tables that ensure you do not clash with other guests as you sit or rise, the Manager, who was keenly conscious of our privacy and respectful of the times when food arrived, kept us fascinatingly appraised, knowledgeably and discretely about the sources of the ingredients, the incredible level of skill of the chefs, and much more. My friend, who is knowledgeable of Ayurveda, complemented the Manager's knowledge and gave me insights and an education into food, not just a meal.

To say that it was the best food I have ever tasted will be a poignant reminder for the rest of my life, that I had until yesterday never encountered anything remotely this good. Each small portion on the plate, the tomato soup, the lentil dahl, had not just one flavour but several that changed over time as you ate, not just once but sometimes twice. The downside was that conversation during the meal was a distraction. Even verbally expressing disbelief at how good the food was, was itself a distraction that was difficult to focus on. Something as simple as fried mash potato should be boring, yet this was covered in multi coloured multi flavoured spices that made boring fried mash just absolutely incredible. Half way through the meal the one thing that I simply could not resist was to get up and ask to speak to the Chef, to express my profound gratitude at providing me with such an experience.

I am already planning and engineering an opportunity to come back with my family.

A well maintained beach property. This gives the feeling of a beach resort and a premium 5 star hotel at same time. Good for corporate eve ts as well as a luxury family weekend getaway. Worth 7 stars

Trying very hard to be good but some trivia let's it down. Has a severe bird problem with crows and pigeons. The estuary can be a bit niffy in the morning. All windows are sealed and some rooms seem damp by over use of AC. Excellent Chinese restaurant and buffet specials 3 times a week are good value. Also a popular event or wedding venue so expect large crowds sometimes

It was a total classy hotel. I did not go to any of the rooms but I did check out the hotel. It was amazing. The food was great for a continental taste, especially the deserts. The hall was decorated with amazing guidance and I just loved the bathroom.

I love this place out of all other hotels in same star class in Chennai. I will stay here again, Just for the service and friendly staffs. I had a wonderful time and unfortunately my stay was short. Next time I will plan to spend more time at the property. I have stayed in Leela Bangalore few times but my experience in Chennai was excellent.

The hotel was overall excellent. But you guys pls don't think u can walk on the beaches cos u can't. Great sea view from room. Hotel nice ventilated and staff are really good. For those who love natural, cool sea breezes this is a place to stay for cool breeze.

Leela palace is one of the best hotels in Chennai.Rooms are perfect,clean & extremely luxurious. Hotel facilities offers a wide range of fine dining restaurants,nice gym & pool.Staff always very good hospitality all the time.Breakfast is perfect with one negative comment mainly about the Forks & knives which is not clean all the time though I have complained several times.
The staff are Normally friendly & helpful except when we were checking out.The receptionist called “Rose” was very rude & unprofessional.

Spacious, elegantly designed, clam, beach view, trafic free hotel. Neatly maintained. Meeting halls are very big, Spacious and with all facilities. Staff also courteous and helping. One thing I love very much is their food taste and quality. Either Vegetation or non vegetation it is very Tasty.

Nice facility. Good rooms. A true 5 star. There is no beach access, so don't come thinking u can walk to the beach. You will get nice Sea view. Food is great.

Hotel is great inside, attentive staff, fancy restaurants. It's a 5 star hotel. It's a perfect venue for conferences as well. The only negative I see is the isolation from the rest of the city (might be a positive for some people). I also wish they cleaned up the garbage from the shore that is visible from the main restaurant and the rooms. It's a stark contrast between the hotel grounds and the outside.

This place provides a great setup for corporate meetings and conferences. I quality of the food is lives upto the name of this place even when serving a few hundred people.

The ambience at night is pretty soothing. Overall Leela palace offers a good service with great quality food and the staff is very helpful and courteous. I hope to visit this place for fine dining within the city.

Nice hotel. Very epic deco and majestic. Overall quality was good. Nice service at the reception, however the bars and restaurants could do with a little more professional service... ladies were consistently served last or at least not first. The size of the rooms was good and the pool area is very nice!

One of the best 5 star hotels in Chennai. The interior design is great and the food here is awesome. They have brunch lunch and breakfast menu and the food is good here. The stay here is expensive and I would recommend you too ask for the beach view rooms it's breath taking.

This must be one of the best hotel in the city... The brand name was well maintained in this property.. I have been in a function hall and it was quite good spacing... Food ofcourse it was well maintained with it's standards... Keep rocking Leela palace...

Visited the Chinese restaurant for dinner. Service is great. Limited seats in the restaurant. Food spread is average. The billing system did not work. The result was chaos. The staff managed a hand written bill after half an hour. Restaurants at this hotel are not anything to write home about. Better to choose other venues.

Hands down an amazing place!! Attended a reception here at the Royal Ballroom. It's in the basement. Wouldn't expect such a magnificent place underground! Service is too Good! The food was good; I would expect more though.. the drinks also was on point, ambiance was nothing less than Royal. The hotel did not have a old worn out look unlike most hotels that are as old as The Leela. All in all, if you're looking for a great celebration at a great place and if you're willing to splurge, The Leela is the place to go.

The place is a must go , if you're looking for a kick-ass Sunday brunch at this restaurant called spectral. They have a wide spread of food from a variety of cuisines ranging from Japanese to Chinese to Indian to BBQ to Italian to seafood.The deserts too were out of this world. The brunch along with a nice cocktail is a killer combo.The whole thing was absolutely scrumptious. Would definitely recommend the lobster and sushi. It's place was completely worth the price.

This is the best hotel of Chennai. The eye for detail in the finish of this amazing building is outstanding and can easily compete with any European hotel. Staff are very well trained, friendly and helpful. The restaurants are absolute top class and the buffets in the Spectra coffee shop are superb! Sunday brunch is simply wow! My clients who stay at this hotel always say that this hotel is the proof that in India top quality is possible, if the staff is managed well and given the right training.

With amazing ambience and service, Leela Palace truly marks the epitome of Luxury Hotels. The food at Spectra was excellent with great service. The management was a bit harsh towards showing the directions. Overall, would recommend atleast to try once.

Everything about this place is just AWESOME!!!
The rooms are great. And I have to mention the beds are super soft that you just sink into them!!!! And they also have a pillow menu !(which is so cool!!!-but didn't try it). The interiors are so well done and very well maintained. Hats off to the staff!
About the food.. I think they should change their breakfast menu coz I went there after a 6 month gap and found the same food for breakfast. However the taste was Good!!!

Hotel is probably more than 5 star and so was the cost. That said, all staff were very efficient, attentive and helpful. The front desk were very knowledgeable, spoke good English and very helpful with every detail. All aspects of hotel were very well maintained. Breakfast and dinner offered a good variety and presented in a upscale way along with service. Driver for hotel cars were well dressed, careful and attentive. Hotel grounds are well maintained and manicured. Swimming pool was clear, fresh without high smell of chorine. Gym was adequate.
On the down side - good view of the ocean but no access to the beach. I truly enjoyed my stay of 10 days.

Five star hotel. They have the street food festival every Wednesday. The spread is amazing. You can't even taste 25% of the spread... Simply amazing spread. Over a 100 items I am sure.... The Bartender makes a good Old Fashioned cocktail. Certified by my UK colleagues as really good.

It was a dinner at the Spectra Restaurant and the experience was excellent. The staff were courteous and the dinner was delightful. Leela Palace is just 15 KMS from the Chennai Airport, and is a sea facing restaurant. Though the access to the beach is restricted, it should give you a more pleasant experience during the day and all evenings​, just for the scenic view.

The Leela Palace is indeed a palace, synonymous to luxury, refined ambience and fine dining. I was here for a conference and experience the stay in a sea facing room. The experience was great. I would highly recommend a stay over here!

Classic Indian restaurant.Their ambience is beautiful amidst the lush greenery. Service was very prompt and the staff was courteous. As for the food we stuck to North Indian and it was brilliant. Overall a great experience.

An absolutely mesmerising place in Chennai. The view of the beach is awesome. One small factor which I felt was the amount garbage outside the Premises could have been cleaned by the hotel management. This would give even a delighting experience. The food is absolutely the best I've had amongst many other 5 star hotels. A very nice and feel good atmosphere is what you can enjoy at the Leela Palace. Beautiful hotel that is right the doorstep where the river meets the sea. Service and rooms are both amazing, you can truly relax in this hotel. There is a dress code for the bar and restaurants so if you're a gentleman, bring long trousers. Shoes are very flexible as I've seen people wear the hotel slippers to breakfast.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have been to. Spectra, the coffee shop is beautiful with a huge selection of extravagant buffet spread. You get baked oysters, sushi, Indian classics and delectable desserts.

Never seen so many flowers nor so much crystal in one hotel, loved it. The gym had excellent equipment and staff, bit dark but far above hotel gyms. The suite was excellent, very large and great bathroom and really liked the desk space. Fantastic laundry service and such good value, bar service excellent too, we just couldnt work out why the Library bar facing the Bay of Bengal would have the curtains closed and so dark with such a great view.

Got a chance to visit the leela palace chennai when we went there for vacation last time.even though it's been a while ,still remembers the experience.as the name suggests it definitely resembles a palace with Royal interiors.u get immersed in the beauty of the structure.Moving on to the food the dishes we ordered were appam and stew which is a Kerala special dish.grilled baby chicken and chicken -wild mushroom -truffle oil risotto.the cost was more than 3000rupees but we went along with a leela employee.so we got a staff discount.
