Great location in the heart of Annapolis, only minutes away walking from the u.s. Naval Academy. Currently going through a renovation we should knock it up to five stars

Great hotel. In walking distance of the Annapolis waterfront. Nice bar, valet parking. There is also a parking garage one block away.

Acceptable place to stay. Great location. I hear that they have a big renovation coming up in the next year which might really revamp it

Ok, so the reviews about the forced valet parking and the noise from trash collection are accurate, but....the hotel is lovely, clean, and staff are friendly and helpful. Beautiful lobby and stately in general. Nice breakfast all you can eat for $12 was a good value only if you consider what we normally pay where we live. Also very convenient walking distance to the historic district. Overall, a great experience. Just remember, the ice and vending are on the 4th floor...lol

Great experience for an overnight stay. They accommodated me with an early check-in, which was great. In close proximity to some great restaurants and bars that are not near the tourist areas along the water.

Not a bar person usually, & might not have thought to go in if not for an Annapolis Film Festival meeting, however warm, welcoming and overwhelmingly accommodating would be my review. I had both time and dietary restrictions which were efficiently and enthusiastically taken care of. I've been back several other times since and this has been my consistent experience. Oh and the food is great too ;-)

Staff was friendly and competent, even humerous. View wasn't much to talk about--3 dumpsters, but I didn't stay for the view. Rooms were clean and well kept. One room had an issue with the air conditioning and the staff responded rapidly when notified of the issue. The issue was not resolvable, and we were immediately offered a different room--good customer service! I would definitely stay here again.

This is definitely a 3 star hotel. The first (#319) room we were given had a weird smell, the mattress was extremely worn (sank right through it) the carpet appeared 10 years old without being cleaned, the room is right above the valet so you could hear every single conversation, and the room is in front of the elevator. 319 is definitely the worst room in the hotel. We notified the hotel front desk of our displeasure with the room and they immediately switched us to a better room (207), hence the 4 star rating. Hotel provides excellent customer service. The new room was much better and a lot cleaner. Bed was huge improvement. I would stay here again but would check the room out unpacking.

We stayed for 3 days and 4 nights as part of a big wedding celebration group. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the night bartender/waitress/hostess and young manager who both seemed capable of juggling many plates and hats with a smile. The hotel shows its age, and I had to restrain myself from making improvement suggestions, because its history in Annapolis should warrant more upgrading--while keeping it true to its roots. Food is just okay and, again, wish they had a signature menu to match their significant place in the region. Overall, they did a nice job with the Wedding Reception and took good care of our large family who were visiting from all over the globe. Frankly, it seems to me the O'Callaghan fits the mood of Annanopolis much more than a Loews or any of the new, modern hotels. Only wish the O'Callaghan administration would take better advantage of this with more TLC for the venue and help the ambience of the hotel shine brighter.

Staff was great. Walls are thin. Lots of noise could be heard from the street and nearby bars at night.

Stayed here overnight on a weekend trip to Annapolis. Front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was ok, although the bed was not that comfy , the room temperature was hard to control, and the floor a bit noisy. The worst part was the toilet. It was clogged and didn't flush at all. I didn't call housekeeping because I only stayed the night, so I have no idea how responsive they would be to this sort of thing. All in all, the experience wasn't horrible, but nothing to write home about.

6

The location is definitely the best aspect of this hotel. It is a short walk to downtown Annapolis. The bed was decent. The pillows are super stiff and will have cricks in your neck. The shower will try to make you trip and fall when you get out as it is raised up. The staff was friendly enough. You can valet but there is no free parking. You have to go to a garage across the street that charges $10 a day.

Very dated hotel, tends to smell, when we walked into our room the window was unlocked which was frightening. An all-around strange experience but great location.

Great service. Was in town for the day and needed to make last minute lodging plans. Hotel staff was very accommodating and found me a room at a fair price. Would certainly recommend the hotel to others visiting Annapolis.

9

Very nice hotel. I would recommend. We stayed at O'Callaghan because we wanted to visit Anapolis for a weekend. We booked it online and wondered if we had picked the right place. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance from most of the downtown area. If you're there for tourist activity or to enjoy the best parts of town, this is a good place to stay.
The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the hotel was pretty updated. Each room looks like it was equipped with an Ecobee system which kept the room perfectly cooled during our summer weekend stay.
We didn't get a chance to enjoy the restaurant/bar, but it looked nice.

This is an average hotel in downtown Annapolis. The WiFi is reliable and its location is good for walking around the historic area, but don't expect anything special.

Nice hotel, the crew is pretty friendly, prices aren't too high. Good restaurants in the area and the docks are not far, maybe a 15 minutes walk.
The hotel is a bit kitsch though, and the view from the rooms aren't that great.
But it's a good place overall.

7

Decent place. Staff friendly. Price great for annapolis. Decor somewhat dated and staid, but clean and in good repair. Food was fine, as in good. Not fine dining. Also they have parking which is important in annapolis. Would stay again and will recommend as friends and family visit our new digs.

Stayed here just last week (October, 2015) and loved it. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the waitstaff in the bar/restaurant remembered my food and beverage order each day for breakfast--lastly the front desk accommodated a slurry of special requests from my group as well, without hesitation. Room was nice! Definitely I'm staying at the O'callaghan next time I'm in annapolis.
