Service was on point from check in to check out. Cocktails were a highlight although a little pricey. Food was delicious. Room was clean and well presented however our basin kept blocking which was annoying with four people in the room.

Pool was closed for renovations but no mention of this on their website or when booking, our rooms had a weird whistle throughout the whole room due to design of the building if windows were left open and was slightly breezy. The night we stayed there was only one brand of cold beers at the bar at 5PM and a work party was being held in the function room which you could hear the thumping of the music in the room until the early hours. Rooms themself were very clean and beds were comfortable, room service was prompt and food was tasty as well.

One of the best hotels we stayed in on our Australia New Zealand tour back in 2012. Every thing is good about this hotel. The rooms are very spacious, with their own kitchen equipped with oven, dishwasher, fridge, sink etc. A sitting area with large window. The Double bed is large with spacious bathroom. There is a patio outside bedroom, giving you spectacular views of Auckland city, different at night and day. You can even see Auckland bay area and the sky tower and also the tennis courts down from it. And if you are a smoker like me it gives you additional advantage to smoke sitting there relaxed, as you can't smoke in the room. The reception staff and room service is good and friendly. Breakfast is nice. As I said it was a good experience staying in this hotel.👌🏼👍🏻

Great place good bar, rooms were clean and large. Friendly staff. One thing though my bedsheets were clean but stained. Better to replace if they get in that state. Otherwise very happy oh and the breakfast was fantastic!! Ty!

Great atmosphere and services. I was lucky enough to get a room with a good view of the Sky Tower. I haven't stayed in too many fancy hotels but this one's treated me well so far!

An excellent hotel, the room and facilities were more than suitable, and the location was great! Appreciated the free Wifi (which worked really well). Even the construction going on below my room was hardly noticeable. Will be my first choice whenever I'm in Auckland!

I went there after dinner for a bit of a social session. We were all pretty full so just ordered hot chocolate each. I liked how the tables were spread around the place, providing space for private conversations and the relaxing atmosphere made it a perfect location for such an occasion. The drinks came out with small biscotti on the side which was quite nice.

Clean and comfortable room, good efficient service at the restaurant for breakfast

The rooms are clean and tidy. However they are overpriced for what they are. There is no longer a buffet breakfast (was excellent for when you are in a rush). The restaurant menu was average but overpriced. There is a gym. Currently doing renovations so building started at 7:30am.

For somewhere that is meant to be high end I wasn't impressed. Room was very tired and needed redecorating. Gym was ok. Restaurant was really expensive so didn't bother

Great hotel. Great restaurant. Can't complain about a lot of things, however, it does annoy me when you see a sign like this (see pic), but they have a horribly inefficient toilet flushing system. There's no 'half' flush button, so even after going for a 'number 1' you have to use a 'gallon' of water! The comment on the sign states "To help protect our environment and conserve our precious water... please keep your towel". It's trying to guilt-trip you into using one towel. I don't have a problem with that, but if the hotel isn't going to make the effort, why should its guests? I just makes me think that the hotel is trying to reduce their costs while trying to come off as the good guys. This is a long-winded point, more due to the fact I see this sign in a lot of hotels and it annoys me at times, not that I have anything against this hotel. It's a very good hotel.

Hotel is clean and in an excellent location. Close to a shopping centre and a beach.
The front desk staff may need more training. I gave extremely clear instructions to the person on desk and I eventually had to go and find a manager myself to get my simple request.
Otherwise a nice hotel overall .

Stayed here on a work trip. Great timing around breakfasts and a great nights sleep. Great place close to the beach. The restaurant is really nice with great views to the beach and city on both sides. Pool and spa are lovely. The restaurant was really nice, very upmarket. Service was fantastic. Will be coming back again.

I get placed here for work when I go to Auckland do I'm unsure on how to rate to according to the price they charge as i don't know the pricing. I can tell you that is not a bad hotel, I'd say the rating would change a bit for me going from a 4 star to 3 star depending on what room you get. Some of the rooms do need a lil work nothing thats a deal breaker but noticeable little things like one of the rooms I had stayed in had water leak a lil from the shower. I did see that some of the floor are being renovated do I'm hoping for the best.

Staff is very helpful, and I look forward to seeing what has changed when I go back soon.

It's OK, expensive at normal pricing but reasonable on a deal. Many rooms have great views of Rangitoto. All rooms (I think - certainly the ones I have been in) have basic kitchenette arrangement and sitting area.

Rooms are comfortable. Good location for beach. Strange betting bar at the front of hotel and quite a lively bar at the back showing sports. Young clientele.

We recently stayed 1 night here to be close to friends for a function. The location and views were stunning. A special mention to the staff as we turned up early and the Manager allowed us to check in early. After we checked out, we realised we left an item behind and Mathisha went above and beyond to arrange to have it returned to us. Exceptional service.

Wonderful hotel! Great staff. Clean rooms (overall). Great amenities. Really good food. But only 1 hour of free hour of WiFi per day. The suite we had was lovely and the facilities there were perfect for our needs.

Lovely views and tidy rooms. Seems a little outdated with limited WiFi access (one hour free) and two double beds in each rooms. Restaurant downstairs had delicious food! Would recommend for a stay to be central to the North Shore, but make sure you ask for a room with a view!

Good view of City tower & beach. Good comfortable rooms with kitchen. Approach to market & mall is of walking distance. Very good option of food chains nearby .. specially for Indian food - Bollywood Restaurant & one more but forgot the name but very nearby on main road. Beach is also at walking distance

I went here for a conference. The food was great and the space was nice. Convenient to the takapuna shops and beach. Not the most flash hotel but definitely ticks all the boxes.

The place was nice and clean. Staff were kind and helpful. Had to pay an additional $20 per night for parking as there is not free on site parking

Nice to be able to have the lunch prawn pasta at dinner, stunning, it should be added to the dinner menu.
Rump steak was a bit tough, asked for rare but was more on the blue side. Still it was a lovely evening.

Lovely place, great view and nice neighborhood. It's very close to Takapuna beach, pubs, restaurants and cafés.

Rooms were ok as was the service but the highlight was the restaurant, very good food, service and ambience.

The BEST hotel or accomodation in Auckland without a doubt. Fair prices. Excellent service. Stayed here a few times now and as always it's the best. Rooms have all the required facilities . Recommend for families with young children like ourselves.

This place is always great to stay. You know that you are going to get great service and a comfy bed. The place is always clean and well presented. Plus they give you real milk. I think the gym is well stocked for a hotel gym and there is a pool.

Visited a friend that was on business trip. Very good location and spacious rooms overlooking rangitoto. Quiet during the night and very convenient to amenities . 5 minutes walk to the beach

My family and I stayed here for my sons birthday weekend. What a fabulous place, we had amazing views out to Rangitoto. The weather has the greatest for our visit, but that didn't matter. This hotel has excellent facilities, and the restaurant is great too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our nights stay. The studio room was large, two big beds and a nice view. But bathroom a bit old and needed to be redecorated and re-tiled. Enjoyed soaking in the spa, lovely Christmas decorations and the friendly staff. The Thyme restaurant was the best; great menu, delicious main course and desserts and great service. We are keen to come back.

We stayed here as part of a Dragon Boat Club and loved it! Great rooms big enough for our team, and they included breakfast. Close to our competition, at a great price, we now book a year in advance! Thanks SOBH!

Great staff - were very helpful with getting my girlfriend logged onto their WiFi system. (we had a few issues with her tablet settings)

Breakfast was great with a huge selection available (was included in our rate so I can't comment on pricing etc.)

We had drinks in the bar the night before with very attentive staff. We went out to a function so I can't comment on dinner but it looked good. The pianist was a nice romantic touch.

We have been here at least once a year for the last 5 years. We always love it. Lovely pool and spa. Great views, great service. So close to walk to the cafes, shops and beach. Really nice decor. Free internet on computers down in the lobby which is really useful. Nice restaurant. No complaints at all.
