Such a disappointing visit. We have stayed at the Westin domestically and internationally and this has been by far been the worst stay. No refrigerator in the room- our food went bad. AC wasn’t working all night and even when the engineer was called in the morning and “fixed” it was still not working. The bathroom sink was clogged. Would’ve expected more from a 4-star hotel.

I haven't stayed at many Westin properties but I continue to be impressed. Service was excellent, people are friendly and helpful. Clean property, well kept and really great rooms. Convenient location.

Easy check in and out. All staff were courteous and available. Although hotel is close to major freeway it's very quiet inside building. Low lights adds to the peaceful atmosphere. The bed was extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay here again

Overall it's a stunning venue. However, the room air conditioner wasn't able to keep the room below 72, we could hear every person in the hall all night and wifi was an additional $8. Parking was far from the lobby. In short it looked impressive but fell short on many practical levels. We would not return.

Right as I walked into the Westin the customer service was amazing. I had no problem booking a two night stay without a reservation. It's a great looking hotel with great food/bar as well. Would recommend to friends!

This is a beautiful luxury hotel with huge, comfortable rooms. Despite being right next to the airport runway, the rooms are quiet and private. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The catered food for my conference was some of the best I've had at a hotel, and the 24 hour room service is a great perk even if I didn't use it. The hotel connects directly to the airport, which meant I could breeze through a dedicated security entrance and walk right to my gate from the lobby. However, this location also means there's nowhere to go in the neighborhood - you're pretty much confined to the hotel if you're there. The rooms are also bathed in a "signature fragrance" that provoked a severe enough allergic reaction that I had to run to the gift shop to buy a dose of Benadryl.

It was a good stay. Our a.c. didn't work very well. Asked to have it looked at or change rooms and nothing was done. Also asked to stay an extra day for similar price and was told to pay full price or check out. Overall clean hotel.

Couldn't get a king room. They said the hotel was full but doesn't seem like it. Parking garage was a little confusing but location and bridge was nice. No need to go outside. Beds are nice. Bathroom is nice. Hotel has a few rough edges. More like a 3.5 star. Pool and work out area on 3rd floor looked nice. TV and cable was good.

Room had a smell of urine in the room. And air conditioning did not cool the room. Nothing around the hotel. No place to walk. Just a little complaint about guest relations. Realized I lost a reader after traveling to Ann Arbor. They suggested we put our information on their lost And found site. No way were we going to see the reader again if we went that route. We drove forty miles back to the hotel and after we inquired at the bar did we find it. Very happy we were persistent. Very unconcerned employees.

Whenever I’m in the area, I always stay here. You get what you pay for, and I’ve never been disappointed. Service and accommodations are top/notch. This is the best property in the Midwest. Comparable to other luxury boutique hotels around the country and around the world.

This hotel is really nice is very good price for what you receive. Unlike the other Westin locations valet parking is not mandatory but it's optional. They have a parking garage in parking in front as well. the rooms were very clean and they provided me with the toiletries I needed that I left at home

Was here for a work conference. Staff was super friendly and helped me find the conference room I needed. After the meeting we had some light food and cocktails provided by the hotel. Food was really good. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

A great upscale hotel in Detroit I was told it was the nicest around and it wasn't too expensive. We were able to book for 160 a night off of a popular travel website. The room was clean and well attended. Was surprised to find that in today's day and age that I had to pony up for even basic internet access.

9

Wonderful hotel. I've stayed at A LOT of hotels over the years for conventions, and this is far and away one of the nicest. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very nice, right down to the fancy showers. The only complaint I had was about the restaurant, which served different (and quite inferior) food during the convention, and whose manager was very rude. Overall, however, a fantastic experience.

Beautiful rooms. Quiet and clean. Would of been five star if wasn't for my food. I didn't receive what I ordered. I ordered grilled jerk chicken wings. What I received was five plain baked wings . Which to me isn't right for the price they charge . When I called to complain. They just said ok. And , claimed they'll alert them of my dissatisfaction. It's an hour later. Haven't heard anything. If I hear anything. I'll change my review.

Lobby area is absolutely luxuriously beautiful. Rooms are nice - and the bathroom shower heads are waterfall style and even have a wand!! (amazing!) Only complaint is the lack of ceiling lighting in the rooms (lamps only) and the bathrooms don't have fans so it gets a little moist up in there.

Amazing place with a very friendly staff. Went to Detroit to help out a military family. I had no reservations and walked in and explained why I was there. They were super accommodating and very understanding. Rooms were large, comfortable, and clean. The in house Restaurant had really tasty food. I will absolutely be using them again in the future. Thank you.

We ate at the restaurant. I’ve had great salmon years ago. This time I had the pizza and it was good also. Nice staff. AND if you spend $30, they will pay for your parking. Something to remember.

Room was fine but you do feel that they're capitalizing on the convenience to discount their service. Room was cleaned but the sheets may not have been washed (visible stain on my sheets). That said, it is a place where you go when your flight is canceled and you don't want to leave the airport.

9

Large comfortable rooms. The hotel is attached to the delta terminal but if you arrive at another terminal there is a shuttle that runs 24 hours a day every 15 min or so. The lobby has it's own security checkpoint straight to the A gates as well as delta check in kiosks which is a very nice touch. In addition there is 24 hour room service which is a great option less and less hotels seem to have.

Great room at a great price. Awesome that it has it's own security check point to get into the airport, there was maybe eight people in front of me. Felt classier than the last couple places I have stayed.

Good Westin. But... A Westin. Exactly what you'd come to love and expect from the brand. Major plus for being attached to the terminal with security right there. Minus for price if you don't remember a negotiated rate.

9

Great location actually attached to the airport and has TSA checkpoint to enter! So convenient. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and I could see part of the airport but couldn't hear the planes. Great if you want something convenient to the airport. Food is pricey but that's a typical Westin.

We stayed one night to catch our flight the next day. We were on the 5 th floor. The employees are always pleasant. Rooms immaculate. Love the Westin line of bedding and towels. Absolutely loved the lavender oil.

10

Great hotel, we upgraded to a runway view for our stay. They have a shuttle between terminals (if you aren't flying out of the one attached to the hotel). Loved the showers and the soaps. There was a fridge in the room but we couldn't get it booked up. They also had beside lights for late night reading. Bedding was clean and bed was comfy. Room service was available but we did not use it. The only issues we experienced were the tub had rust spots in it and the bell hop was supposed to show up by 5:45 am (we made the request at 5am) and we eventually had to leave because we needed to get to the other terminal.

I travel for work and stay in hotels at least 25 times per month. This hotel is by far the greatest hotel that I've ever stayed - and I mean that. Although located at the airport, I didn't hear a single airplane during my stay. The towels felt like I was being hugged by Jesus. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and welcoming. Airport security was right outside the lobby so I was in the McNamara terminal two minutes after I checked out. I wish I could love here. Not even joking.

The location was fantastic (only a short walk from the baggage claim and the check in counter). I only stayed for a few hours on an overnight layover but everything was as expected. The price was higher than I would have liked, but it was justified by the convenience.

8

The room was nice. My only complaint was that there was a high pitch noise that would start every once and a while. Other than that the bed was comfortable, and I managed to get some sleep. I only stayed one night so I can't comment on much else.

Decent hotel. Small rooms, but clean. Prices are super inflated due to convenience factor of being IN the airport. I was surprised that staying in the hotel didn't offer any amenities regarding checking of bags. Was kinda neat to see the terminals from the room though!

Fantastic hotel, highly recommended! Very friendly staff when I checked in, even though it's quite late at night. The restaurant food was good as well, didn't try the heavy main dish but the app and the salads are on point. The real cool thing is this hotel is literally in the airport!! So my room was overlooking the tarmac! How cool is that! The noise level is very low because of the heavy glass. And there is also a security gate inside the hotel for quick access to the gates. I love this hotel! If comeback will definitely stay here again.

The location is fantastic. If your flight leaves too early to use the hotel security, it's a short walk around to the terminal. I was only there for a few hours but the bed was incredibly comfortable and it was quick and easy to check in and out.

7

The appointments were all wonderful. Everything was clean and new. The bed was comfortable. The door to the neighboring room needs more sound proofing. My neighbors coughing made falling asleep difficult. The food and service at the restaurant was very good. The pricing was a little high. The front desk staff seemed a little sour, and I couldn't get a receipt on my way out because there was no one at the desk. Overall, very nice but the desk staff could use a tune-up.

Location is excellent, there is a security line in the lobby that makes it super convenient for early morning flights. The rooms are well appointed and it is amazingly quiet inside the hotel and rooms for being in the airport. WiFi is fast, but it is 10$ a night.

The Weston is attached directly to the delta terminal at Dtw so it is extremely convenient. The rooms are not huge but are sufficient. They come appointed with high quality linens and cosmetics. Some of the public areas are under construction, but did not take away from our stay.

Similar to my last stay I had a fabulous deep sleep. The rooms are lovely with nice modern touches. The bed is so comfortable. The room is CLEAN and polished- front staff are friendly and accurate. Best of all it takes minutes to get out of the hotel through security to your gate. This hotel is worth the money if you need to rest a little in between flights.

Incredible convenience if you have a Delta flight. Simply wake up and if it's after 7am walk through private security and you are done. Comfy beds and rooms and great gym. Bar has some nice drinks and pizza.

The hotel was undergoing some construction during our stay there, but nothing to majorly effect our stay. The front desk was very helpful in correcting our room assignment. The rooms were mostly clean, but I do have to say that I was quite disappointed with the level of cleanliness and eye for attention. Some of our towels were stains, and there was remnants of trash (including eaten chicken wing bones on the floor).
Services such as wifi, printing, and everything else seemed flawless, however.

I was at the Westin for a business conference. The Continental breakfast was very good. In the conference room the wall sconces were set up so they projected a W on the wall, this was very subtle but I thought it was a neat touch.

For an overnight stay to fly out the next morning, this is a great hotel. Clean, prompt service, nice rooms, foods not bad, and the view from the room, the airport tarmac, can't be beat. Overall, we've stayed here prior to flights several times. Very nice hotel.

The main entrees for breakfast and dinner was acceptable. Our professional group was over 600 so most of the the people ate in the lobby. The facilities were clean and the staff was very attentive. Starbucks coffee and Voss bottled water was a nice touch to go above and beyond

Very convenient location. Simply walk right to it inside the C concourse at DTW. As you would expect, it is an upscale experience. Rooms are nicely appointed, beautiful lobby, nice restaurant and of course, the prices to match :) Certainly there are other food options in the airport within short walking distance. Overall a very nice hotel that I would recommend for anyone not wanting to venture far from the airport.

It's hard to beat the convenience of a hotel in the airport, with its own security checkpoint as well. The room was nice and clean and the bed was super comfortable. My only minor complaint was that the air conditioning was too quiet. A rather ridiculous complaint, I know, but for those of us who like some background noise while we sleep a bit of a letdown.

The hotel was very nice. It was clean, quite, and the staff were very friendly and professional. I got in late and was very tired. They were very efficient and helpful and I was very happy with my stay. The room was extremely comfortable and staying there was a pleasure. The hotel is also right in the DTW airport, which is extremely convenient for frequent travelers. Rates are a bit on the high side, but definitely worth it, both for the standard maintained there and for its DTW location.

I loved eating there, food was great and service was very professional. Only reason I did not give five stars was due to airport foot traffic. For the TSA checkpoint located in the hotel.

The valet, bell hop, front desk, and room service were top notch!! The experience was very nice. The only issue we had was the tub would not hold water and constantly drained. It was very disappointing as that was the way we had planned on relaxing to close out the night. I would have said something to the staff but our son had already fell asleep.

My husband and I stay here every year before going on vacation as a way to kick it off early. Love dining in the restaurant. We have never had a bad meal or service. See you next year!

I ate at the restaurant while on a layover. I went out of the airport to visit family and we had a great meal. Food was reasonably priced and there's something for everyone. What's nice is that you're able to still go through TSA PreCheck directly from the hotel. You don't even have to leave to go outside. You're also able to get your tickets in the hotel if you don't have to check a bag. It was very convenient.

This hotel is awesome! And it is literally connected to the airport. You can be checked out of the hotel and at your gate in less then 5 minutes. The rooms are great although not perfect. My mini fridge didn't work. The food is way overpriced but that's expected for the location. Overall I would stay here again just for the convenience by the airport and the sophistication.

The Westin is very nice on the inside and in theory convienent. Unfortunately I was disappointed because I booked this hotel for the private security line which I had hoped would allow me to sleep in a bit, (for my 7:25 flight). THE WESTIN SECURITY LINE IS NOT OPEN ALL THE TIME. I put in caps because I found it difficult to find that information prior to my trip. I went out to my flight around 6am and found out I had to go through regular security. Because of the miscommunication I almost missed my flight. Bottom line, beautiful hotel, but very unclear about the perks.

The hotel is beautiful and most of the staff is very helpful. The room appeared to be cleaned very quickly so some things were certianly missed. The complimentary water was not left, bathroom supplies were not all refreshed and the fitted sheet was not properly in place.

Also if you are in the north terminal it will be a longer ride than you'd expect from the hotel (not a problem with the hotel, but worth considering).

Id stay again if i was in the area, but this experience was not the best (especially for the price)

I've travelled across America to attend various business conferences and have stayed at some fairly luxurious resorts, but The Westin Detroit Metro Airport remains one of my personal favourites. Why? Beyond convenience, the hotel is remarkably clean, modern and incredibly comfortable. I am always treated well by the staff and never leave disappointed.

If you're flying in or out of DTW, the Westin is perfect place to recharge your batteries.

The Westin at the DTW is perhaps the finest transit hotel in the States. The rooms are spacious and carry all of the wonderful details that make the Starwood brands consistently wonderful. The service -- from the bellman, to the desk agent, to the waiters in the lobby restaurant -- were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

My 8 year old son and I had stayed at this hotel from March 7th until the 9th. During this time I had been trying to get to Jamaica for a family vacation and due to some very unfortunate issues we encountered, we were unable to go. I wanted to take some time to thank those ladies at the front desk for all their sympathies and understanding with our situation. They went above an beyond Genuine Guest Service! I wish I would have written down names as I believe they should be acknowledged by their Management. They made a very stressful situation into a more comfortable time for myself and my son. Thank you again ladies for helping us stranded travelers!!!!!

The hotel in general was very nice and I'd stay there again if I ever get back there.
