Perfect location! Everything is within walking distance.
Jabria at the front desk gave such great suggestions for places to eat and was kind and welcoming!
The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. I will always stay here when I visit Memphis.

Service could've been better, even under COVID-19. Had to haggle to just get some water, and me & my wife are Marriott Elite members. Parking was cheaper though. No valet right now. Got an upgrade to a suite which was nice though. Jacuzzi tub was great. Right next to Beale & the FedEx Forum, as well as plenty of restaurants/bars

During these difficult times, it is nice to know that I can stay at a hotel and feel welcomed and almost at home. I stayed at your hotel at the beginning of the month and will be staying there a few times in the near future while I travel for work due to the service provided by two of your associates that I encountered. I want to personally thank Vinny and Brett for everything that they did for me during my past stay. Your hospitality is much appreciated during these times. See you soon!

Birthday luncheon! Just us girls!! Located in the Westin Hotel, Blue was tastefully decorated. I ordered a chicken club and sweet potato fries. The club was packed with chicken and all the toppings. The sweet potato fries were to die for. Crispy on the outside and tender in the middle with the right amount of salt. One problem, I wanted more. The chef came out to ensure that we enjoyed our meal. What a nice touch!

Excellent staff who were all helpful and friendly throughout the entire stay. We only were here 2 nights but the location was great and surprisingly not noisy. The room felt a little old/dated but we spent most of our time outside anyway. The room service we ordered whilst here was also delicious.

Rooms were very nice. Parking is extra so be prepared to add that to your room price. Great view from our room of the courtyard for a Beale Street restaurant. Beds were comfortable and the room was nice. Would definitely recommend as it is very convenient to Beale.

Great location lobby lounge for some drinks and relaxation on Beale. The ambiance is spectacular. There signature drinks are most impressive as well. Normally Memphis or large event going on in town themed.

Great room, great staff, great food. I highly recommend this hotel. It was very secure. You had to have a room key card to access the floors with guest rooms and the fitness room. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I don't think that I can say enough good things about this hotel. I work in the industry, and I wanted to bring each and every employee back to Texas with me to work at my property. I have stayed in MANY hotels, and this is by far the best. As someone who has worked in hotels for 5+ years, my standards are high, and it takes a lot to impress me. From the minute that we pulled up to valet, to the moment I left the hotel I was in awe of the staff's customer service. It is hard to find good staff, but you have managed to find ALL of the good employees! I wish that I could remember the names of everyone I encountered, but please recognize your entire staff as a whole because they made my birthday trip awesome! Keep up the great work, Westin Memphis Beale Street!!

Maybe one of the best locations in Memphis! Overlooking Beale Street you should not plan to sleep before midnight over the weekends, but you couldn't either because of the music.
Restaurant only for (very) slow dining - and breakfast.

I had a great experience at this hotel. I travel to Memphis regularly for work and this is the fourth downtown hotel I've tried. It's the only one I want to go back to. The hotel was nice, room was good, restaurant was good. I sat in the lobby and worked for a while in a comfortable space. There is a Starbucks right around the corner. It is right on Beale Street and literally across the street from the Memphis Grizzlies arena. Now I was there for a stay in the middle of the week on a week when nothing was really going on (no festival, etc.). I did wonder if this hotel might be more costly on weekends and during high tourist times. Also I wondered if it would be noisy on the weekends or during big Beale Street tourist times. But for my experience, it was clean, nice, friendly, well located and reasonably priced.

Very nice clean facility in good location. Room was more that we expected. BUT ... we were out all day at a wedding and housekeeping did not even come into our room at all ... even to pick up garbage. We put out the "Green" tag on the door, which I thought meant they did not change the sheets or replace towels on the rack, but when we asked at 9 pm why they had not cleaned the room the front desk said that the tag meant "don't enter the room". I have never seen this before. I believe this hotel must be understaffed ...

We got a corner suite. The room was very well appointed and comfortable. Right around the corner from Beale Street during the music festival and you could barely hear any noise when in the room. Staff was very kind and helpful.

I like it better here than the Peabody. You have to get the right room. They are spacious, modern and if people don’t slam their door it’s quiet! But that’s not the hotels fault. The staff here are very nice people. Especially Teresa in the blue restaurant!!

Many bars and restaurants in walking distance. The building is on Beal street so the whole weekend we were there it was like a party was going on just by stepping out of the building. I am happy my brother set up the arrangement. It was out of my comfort zone being right in the middle of the city, but it was a lot of fun.

The location is great if you're in town to check out Beale Street or a Grizzlies game. In typical Westin fashion the rooms are very nice, amenities are top notch, and my stay was great. We were stranded without overnight essentials, but we're provided an amenities kit, including New Balance athletic clothing to workout in ($5 gets you a shirt, shorts, socks & shoes). If I have to stay again I wouldn't hesitate to do it here.

We had our wedding and reception at the Westin in 2015. The staff was so friendly and helpful and made this really stressful process, less frustrating. Everyone raved about the food, plus the use of two ballrooms and a small conference room for make up and wardrobe changes was fantastic. The location was perfect as our friends and family were entertained all weekend long on Beale Street. The only negative was some confusion with a couple of reserved rooms where the front desk staff refused to honor information given and the manager we dealt with was quite condescending. It had to be escalated to corporate when it should have been handled at the local level. However, that issue was separate from the wedding staff, who were absolutely wonderful.

The location is excellent, right downtown near the FedEx forum. Service was quite good and they were very accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and everything we needed. Our only concern was parking in the city and we decided to park at the hotel for the convenience.

7

The friendly and helpful staff you expect from the Westin brand, but the room itself didn't quite meet that same standard. Our room was dated and seriously in need of an update/remodel. Things you might expect from a hotel in need of a remodel, such as stains on the carpet and numerous, obvious repairs made over the years from wear and tear. The amenities were great and the room was clean, as you'd expect. An extra towel rack/hook in the bathroom would be nice. The shower door leaked onto the floor, and layers of heavy sealant indicated it'd done this before (room 329). The sheets were scratchy, as were the obviously bargain basement tissues and toilet paper. The third floor hallway just outside the elevator smelled like cat urine. I got the room with points but was still charged $155 in fees, not including parking at an additional $18 a night, but overpriced parking seems to be the norm in major metro areas these days. I wouldn't mind staying here again if the location dictated (great location), but Westin seriously needs to consider a remodel.

Favorite hotel in Memphis. Not a gimmick. A little more expensive than it should be but solid. Stay here for work about once a month. Just solid. Rooms are good. Shower is great. TVs have HDMI inputs and Netflix. Good room service. Kind service.

I can't say much about the hotel, since we weren't there long, but I can say something GREAT ABOUT THE HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR, I GUESS THAT WAS HER POSITION. I was packing up to leave, it was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. She was training a new housekeeper. Not bossing her her around, but showing how to get perks and move up to a better position and her experience with the company... I am telling you, it was heartwrenching story and I went out to the hallway and told her that if there were any way I could bring her back, I would, she's such an asset to the company and I will make sure that they know!

Good hotel - Bad Managment and Bad Food at Room Service -
I am with my boyfriend on his birthday here. I asked if they have something special or complimentary .. one person on the phone told me they were busy with the thanksgiving meal preparation and another at the lobby said she was going to ask her manager... Really???!!!
I don't think it's the first person who is here for his birthday!!! Very disappointed.
Bought a "Pastry Basket" ... price with tax and room service $18 !!! for 5 little pastries that were warm up because they were old !!!! My advice DON'T BUY ANY FOOD AT YOUR ROOM!!!!

There was a slight mix up on check in timing but that gave me and my wife opportunity to go to the Rock n Soul museum across the street. We highly recommend. Back to the Westin service was great, the room was one of the best I've been in. I would highly recommend. So close to Beale Street.

The BEST location. Walking distance to the Civil Rights Museum, Mississippi river, Beale St. action, and the historic parts of Memphis. SO very accommodating, we were traveling cross country with an SUV towing a uhaul, they gave us a valet street spot right up front without the extra charge, which I so appreciated. We have two small children and a dog, and it was perfect for us all. Everyone was helpful and kind, and the rooms were so much larger than expected for a downtown hotel! The bathroom was huge and open. I will stay here on every stay to Memphis.

Hotel is nice enough. Walking distance from Brake street entertainment and FedEx Forum. Room is nicely appointed, not overly large. Mini fridge is reserved for overpriced snacks. Bathroom is very nice. Separate rainshower with wand and tub. Carpets could use a good cleaning. One elevator is out of service. WiFi costs $7 a day.

This hotel has a great location, just a block away from Beale Street. Plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs within walking distance. Staff is extremely friendly. Parking is in an adjacent garage. The room is nice. Separate shower and bathtub means we can give the kids a bath while someone showers. My only complaint would be the TV - it doesn't have HDMI ports, so we can't connect our streaming device, and the "guide" for the TV service is just a channel guide, so you have to surf to see what is on. But that's not a huge deal and the accommodations are comfortable in all the other important ways.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing location on Beale Street. The room was comfortable and nicely appointed, the bar and restaurant were very nice, and the views of the city from the room were amazing. Be advised, however, that the noise on Beale Street continues until 2 AM on weekends. Even with earplugs and a white noise generator we could still feel the bluesy baseline rocking our hotel room. Come for the music and plan to stay out late.

This inn is lovely and functional. We were there for a business meeting, but I can see how it would be a perfect weekend romantic getaway. My room was comfortable, the four poster King bed divine. Nice, clean hotel in great location. Staff was friendly and professional. Comfy bed and nice bath room with separate shower. Noisy, like there was very little sound insulation between rooms. You can hear everything and I do mean everything! We moved some stuff out of stocked fridge to put our own food that had to be refrigerated. Found out from front desk clerk that the fridge has sensors that indicated when you remove a stocked item and they immediatly charge you for it. When we checked out they had added $170 to our bill from items in fridge. When we explained that we had removed them and later put them back they were deleted from our bill. The fridge sensor seems like a problem! Bill was screwed up and I had to call to get it corrected, which it was. Probably not staying here again.

Beale Street was so fun! They had so many gift shops and bars, people dancing in the street, loud music. There's one thing you absolutely HAVE to get if you go there. That's the gumbo. The room is nice and the location is good.

The good:
Bathroom is awesone, I dig the waterfall shower head. It's nice to have both a standing shower and a separate tub.

Bed is nice and comfy, good sheets.

The bad:
I'm dissatisfied with all the hidden costs.

The only refrigerator is a minibar that I can't use for my own stuff, the WiFi/ethernet has a daily charge, the complementary coffee is bad, and there's no complementary breakfast.

I've come to expect those to be freebies at every hotel I've stayed in, so I don't see why they can't be included at a hotel that considers itself this good.

Super nice staff, clean rooms, convenient to Beale Street. The ONLY reason I rated my stay less than five stars is the fact that they want you to pay for wifi. I realize this is a common practice with upscale hotels, but it's a STUPID common practice. You can get free WiFi at the grocery store, so why should you have to pay for it at a $235 per night hotel? Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

We were in town for 1 night, checked into the hotel. Left briefly for a gas fill up, came back and valet parked the car for the night. Got up the next morning, walked to the Orpheum Theater for a play. We came back to the hotel and loaded up our luggage, as the valet pulled my vehicle up past the door and opened the rear hatch. We then got in the vehicle and headed out of town, never realizing that the valet service had either damaged or allowed my vehicle to be damaged while in their care. When I stopped for food about an hour out of town, I realized the damage to the vehicle and called immediately to inform of the damage. I was told at that time because I had left the property that there was not much that could be done. Funny since the valet service pulled up the vehicle so that I would not walk to the front and be able to see the damage and never told me that there was any damage on my vehicle.

So fast forward a couple of days and I speak to the General Manager Patrick. He assures me that he needs to look further into my claim of damage, but due to it being a holiday weekend that it will be a few days until he can get back to me. I am satisfied with that response and wait.

Fast forward 10! days, I have still heard from no one from the Westin and I call and leave a message for Patrick that I have not heard from anyone. Next day, I call again, Patrick now answers the phone. He says "I am sorry that no one from my staff has not gotten back to you, I need to look into this again, and I will assure you someone will be back to you today."

That was at 8:30 this morning. It is now midnight and I have heard from no one, yet again. I could not recommend the hotel for the reasons of dishonesty, and the inability to follow through on a simple promise that was made, not requested, but made.

Over $1000 later, out of pocket, paid by myself, I am now driving my repaired vehicle and can be assured that I will never stay at another Westin Hotel ever again. And if you choose to stay at the Westin, please self park yourself, because obviously the valet service is not to be trusted to be truthful and the management has chosen to cover for them because they have proven that the customer is not right.

UPDATE FROM THE ABOVE REVIEW:

After some continued discussions, we have come to a satisfactory settlement between myself and Westin. While I will not disclose the settlement, I felt that the discussion and the outcome were very fair and I have been satisfied. I accepted responsibility for having not noticed the damage to the vehicle before leaving the property and they accepted the fact that not all of their camera angles were able to cover my car during the whole visit. The General Manager Patrick, and the Valet Manager Tyler called me, asked me to send over my invoices for review, and then promptly called me back the following day with a proposal that I was willing to accept. I would like to thank them both for keeping an open mind and to trust in my integrity that was dealing honestly and with no malice or deception.
