Very close to the historical site Nagoya Castle. We can see it every day from our room. And very considerable service from the hotel. I will recommend to stay.

Many thanks to all the staff that helped us to find the bag of our daughter that we forgot on the train from Tokyo to Nagoya. In 1 day the hotel staff were able to connect with the JR lost and found department and arrange for the bag to be in Osaka station just on time for out departure to Europe. The hotel is super traditional Japanese contemporary style. Great if you like the retro atmosphere. We loved it and there is an extremely careful attention to small details and great hospitality. Best hotel we stayed in Japan

11階のレストランからは名古屋城が綺麗に見えた。名古屋城は間もなく木造に建て替えられるため鉄筋コンクリートの名古屋城はそろそろ見納めになりそうですね

This is not a hotel suited for business travel. The rooms are quite dated. Clean, but clearly havent been replaced since the hotel was built. Looks like 60s or 70s furniture. The breakfast starts at 7AM which is late for business traveling, as most ppl need us in the office by 7AM; plus all busses and transport to certain work places leave from Nagoya station. The hotel said they offered a free shuttle to the station; however, it does not begin until 8:30AM and ends at 8PM. If you understand working hours for business in Japan, this starting to late and ending too soon. Also there is NO ATM at the hotel. Also a real problem. Also not suited for business travelers is the work out facility, it opens at 11AM and close at 9PM. Most business travelers work out early in the morning. But it is a cute hotel and everyone was very nice and courteous. The restaurants were good, but the Bar/Lounge, was never open.

10

nice hotel with super friendly & professional staff, close to the almost only must-go site in the city, odd numbered rooms own great view to the castle, best severed on floor 9 or 10.
Free shuttle bus available to the rail way station. It is indeed the last piece this hotel needed for long. I have chosen Marriott due to its location for several times.

Great views, friendly staff, shuttle to/from the JR Nagoya Shinkansen station. Room was nicely appointed, and the front desk had plenty of nearby restaurant recommendations for when we wanted to get away from the hotel.

It's an older fancy hotel that needs some updating in the rooms. The view is great, and the staff is wonderful. Rooms are nice and quiet, bathroom seems old. It's very clean.

Staff was very friendly and the included breakfast was pretty decent. The view from our room was great, as was the room itself, but the bathroom was a bit dated.

Quite a dated hotel, rooms are a bit small. Breakfast is totally uninspiring, with terrible coffee. The bar however has amazing views of the castle and good service.

Request a room with a view. Seeing the castle lit up at night is so cool! Rooms are cozy but clean.

The hotel is a little far away from the station and appears to be very well refurbished rather than new.

Having said this the rate is very good for its calibre of hotel, the service excellent and the location next to the castle makes it convenient if you are a tourist. Breakfast and the bar is probably overpriced but will not disappoint.

Overall the hotel is good with some advantages and disadvantages

4

Friendly staff, beautiful views of the Nagoya Castle, excellent breakfast bar. Unfortunately "non-smoking" room means they removed the ash trays from the room where the previous night's guest smoked a pack or more of unfiltered cigarettes. Dated furniture and fixtures and dirty soiled carpet also didn't endear me to this place. Will try the Marriott across town next trip

Hotel itself is nice! Location is not that good though, a 10 min walk to sengencho subway station which is slightly far. There is an hourly shuttle to and from Nagoya train station Eric mitigates this a little.
