Ok. Where you see on the Marriott site that this is a "new" hotel, what they mean is that it's "new to the Marriott portfolio." The hotel is not new. It's definitely in need of upgrading. BUT, the good news is that:

(1) the staff is great;
(2) there's a bar and lounge with an attentive and good bartender (Samantha);
(3) the bed is comfortable; and
(4) the parking and location are convenient.

For the price, it's not a bad option at all. I look forward to seeing it once it has been upgraded (which I'm told is going to happen over the next year to year and a half).

I've stayed over 1,800 nights in Marriott hotels as an ambassador and lifetime titanium member. The concept of this hotel is great and for the price the amenities are solid. The indoor outdoor pool is a great addition with the sauna and a decent gym.

The rooms are not really in line with what you would expect at a full service Westin and there is no branding on the outside of the building.

Consider this a budget version of a Westin hotel and it's a little easier to digest. No executive lounge if that's important to you.

This hotel is a great property and the people are very friendly. The amenities are very nice and the rooms are well-appointed. If anybody is in this part of San Antonio I would absolutely recommend this hotel. The restaurant is very good and has a great selection of food. You can't go wrong staying here.

I was there for a wedding reception, Ashley Wash and Jorge were so accommodating and the staff was bar none. I plan on spending my anniversary weekend there. The only thing was the heat in my room wasn’t working, the young man tried to repair; however, to no avail. I called the from desk and immediately the were able to give me a different room. Amazing!!! Array the bell man was fantastic. Great staff!!!!!!!!!

This is a nice building that needs updating but it was clean ,Ive been here in the past the Service in the bar was excellent during this visit .I have excellent past memories of this hotel hopefully it will be back to its old glory . It is functioning on a skeleton crew basis. Its actually functioning like a basic Holiday Inn with a nicer building . I have no memory of the old fees I hope the present fees have been adjusted to the present level of less services .
