Very good value for money. Good size rooms with all mod cons. Large comfortable bed. This lodge has large parking space £3 for 24 hour's. And it has a reasonable sized cafe dining area with bar that serves Pizza and burgers etc. Again at a reasonable price. It does the job with out it costing you a arm and leg

Stayed for 3wks. Good reception staff. Rooms are ok. Housekeeping not good though. Didn't change any bed linen for last 7 days. Only hovered 4 times and never dusted whole room while I was there. Just cleaned relevant bits.

The local area does not look inviting. Quite an imposing set of fences and building fronts. Great for a scary film scene at night. You do have to pay for parking as it's a public carpark although we were lucky because the machine was broken so were advised that we didn't have to. The room was very clean and tidy. It did only have basic room heating. Staff were friendly. Food was very nice and served pretty quickly. The plates were cleared away promptly after finishing too. The breakfast was basic but ok. Overall a pleasant stay. I had a room next to the road but traffic noise makes no difference to my sleep. You may wish to ask for a room on the opposite side of the hotel if traffic noise at night is an issue as it may be quieter.

5

Cheap place to stay,
We wasn't impressed at breakfast ,we got asked to leave our table as soon as we we had finished.
Some of our group were still drinking tea and coffee.
For the amount of rooms available there isn't enough tables if everyone came down for breakfast at the same time.
The rooms are very basic with no drawers to put things in only a few shelves so you can't hide out of sight valuables, also only 5 coat hangers.for 2 people.

Building outside needs a wash, food is poor, rooms adequate, most staff polite, bar expensive, if they got bar, food and building looking better it provides better image of Travelodge. Building lets company down as they wont wash brickwork, looking shabby.

5

Standard Travelodge. I was a little annoyed that the hotel carpark is not managed by them and they won't accept payment for parking tickets. So you have to use the parking meter outside the front door using old pound coins.

I stayed at this hotel on a short break with the family. We chose it largely because of the location to both London and three theme parks ( chessington, Legoland and Thorpe Park) and of course the very reasonable cost. The rooms are pretty standard with no frills but as we use them purely as a base that's not an issue. There is a restaurant and bar on site and breakfast is free for kids. The only downside is that there is a charge for parking and space is sometimes very limited.

This is a very basic travel lodge. I know we didn't spend a fortune to stay here, but don't expect anything more than a bed, a toilet, shower and 2 towels. The room was quite large and just felt so empty. Again, not bad for the price, but not a very comfortable place to stay.

Bedroom oom was large and spacious. Bathroom felt cramped, especially as the bedroom had a large unused area at the window end

I've stayed here about 4 times in the last 3 years and each time it's been a lovely stay. The rooms have been nice and simple. Clean and comfortable. The staff both day and night stay are pleasant and the night staff are extra nice. It's a quite place, secure car park and just about spacious enough. They is no gym or spa facilities which is ok for short stays and if you're not really into that. Their food menu is simple, adequate and nice. The bar is also reasonable stocked. Nice place for business, short stays and for families with kids too.

The room was very well proportioned and the king sized bed was very comfortable. Location was great for our purposes and the breakfast had 3 very happy customers.

The bar/restaurant area is basic, as is the food and selection of drinks available. Not a destination hotel but if you need a place to sleep, this will do, I suppose.

Edit: I recently had cause to revisit this place and, in retrospect, my previous 2 star review may have been a little harsh. This time, the service was friendly, the lobby clean and tidy, and there was a much better feel to the place.

Was petrified about arriving here after reading all of these reviews, however we were checked in by a polite man and we were in our room within 5 minutes of entering the hotel! The room was basic yes, but it was clean and we saw no stains or dirt anywhere. The bed was comfy and we found some spare pillows. We were right by a road but it wasn't the noise of the traffic that was the problem, the heater was making strange noises so we had to turn it off and get to sleep in the cold.. even after turning that off there was a constant hum from something that sounded like a generator.. perhaps this was just our room that had that problem. The staff are always happy to help out as we found out when we checked out at 6 in the morning and were greeted at reception by a nice member of staff. We paid around £20 for this room and for that I think the room exceeded our expectations and we found this travelodge a friendly, clean and average place to stay for the night. Don't listen to reviews about stains everywhere and dirt because honestly this was perfect for us and our room was fine.
