Super fun, lively place to stay. Rooms were nice, staff was wonderful! The Living Room bar was so much fun! And the Mexican restaurant downstairs was so delicious.

Fantastic Hotel! Great service, very friendly staff and quite spacious rooms considering the location. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. It is right in the middle of time square it is absolutely fantastic. Perfect if you are visiting for broadway shows, or are a first tourist and want to see all of Manhattan.

Location is perfect, right in the middle of everything. Staff were always very polite and efficient. The only downside is the bizarre trend of the glass window/door to the bathroom, especially if you are travelling with a work colleague: You get to "see" a new side to them, all sides in fact, and they have the same "great view" of you as well...Rooms were very clean however and the room service food was excellent.

Our original room did not have a good view at all, but the staff was cool and they did move us to a room with a much better view. Big kudos for that. New room was too warm and we couldn’t get it to cool down, but it was well worth changing rooms with this view. Staff was wonderful. Room was clean. Excellent location.

Very nice hotel! Excellently cleaned and very polite and helpful staff, both when checking in and during the stay. Beds were good for me, and I noticed good water pressure in the bathroom during the entirety of my stay. Very pleased with my experience here, next time I'm in the area and needing a hotel, this will be it.

The server was very friendly. A fee of my friends and I came in and had a few drinks. The lounge area was amazing. The drinks were nice. I had one drink with orange puree in it. I tried out the picture booth they have in the back, it's so interactive. I am looking forward to staying in this hotel in the future.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Nick is the first person that we met and his service at the front desk was impeccable on check-in. Wonderful room, exquisite view from the 51st floor, great overall service. Would do it all over again. Great job W!! Another wonderful visit to your great brand of hotel.

Cool Room of the Hudson is worth the price. 33rd floor. I always request a photo of cats to see if my special request is fulfilled. This hotel, did it. I trust them with my life. Wonderful staff. Very informative and passionate about their jobs.

Far too expensive but very nice room, cool view of Times Square for the room type I selected. Love the vibe & energy in the hotel, things were always happening. One sh!tty millennial gal at the front desk who ignored me to my face wasn't enough to ruin the experience. The millennial server who called me buddy realized his error immediately when I referred to him as buddy as well, so that was actually a plus. At day's end I had a wonderful time at this hotel so I have to give it 5 stars. If you're reading this though management, train the staff better. You can be cool & hip and respectful at the same time. They aren't mutually exclusive.

Fun, hip Times Square hotel. From check-in to check-out everything was great. Desk staff was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Made us feel like we were valued guests and not just another paying customer. Room was well appointed and decent size for Manhattan. Would highly recommend.

Great location if you want to be in the center of crazy busy times square! If your looking for a quiet stay this spot is not for you. Bright lights shine in the windows even when the single shade is closed. On the 10th floor, my room was located near the elevators where the elevator noise kept me up all night. That coupled with people yelling on the streets and car horns honking as they drove past the hotel, I didn't sleep well. Service was good. The room was small. Not the cleanest but not the dirtiest either. Robes were nice. Mini bar and amenities were expensive. Food was good at the hotel. Breakfast was expensive at the blue fin.

Cannot fault the location. Amazingly located right in Times Square. The bed and bath really comfortable and good with friendly staff, but that is really where the positives end. Put in a room which had an adjoining room where you could basically hear every single sound coming from next door, which included loud moaning. Dark corridors that made the hotel feel like something to match the sounds coming from the adjoining room. A Motel would have been quieter. Breakfast in room was very pricey for what it is with very limited selection. Basically eggs or pancakes or muffins. Maybe was bad luck with the room but would certainly thing again before returning as did not live us to the W brand.

Really cool hotel. It is right next to Time Square. All you need to do is go out to the right and you are right in the middle. It's a little pricey but so is everything else in NYC.

Watch out for Everyone outside the hotel. They just want tips or money. Just kindly say no and keep moving.

Right in the middle of Times Square. How can you beat that? There were two theaters on the same block, two Starbucks on the same block, a multitude of restaurants and plenty of New York. It is a bit noisy, so if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. I was on the 35th floor - great restaurants in the hotel, very friendly staff. Bar and lounge are a very cool environment. Can't wait to go back.

Stayed here for one night. Service was really great. I had a red eye and arrived at 9 am with sleepy eyes. The room was available so they let me check in!! I could have kissed the gal that was checking me in I was so happy. I had a great room with a view. It was small, but that is typical for NY living, right? Very clean with a comfy bed. The only somewhat negative thing I would say was how dirty the windows were. It did take away from the awesome view just a bit. The location is just about as good as it gets, right in the heart of Times Square. I saw 2 shows. One at the The Booth Theatre and the other at Brooks Theater. Both were just minutes away from the door step. Side note: They give you a $20 bar credit and a $20 laundry credit to make up for those pesky fees hotels charge these days. I thought that was nice. I will most definitely consider another stay here next time I am in town.

Great location but multiple small things that make the stay inconvenient. Such as:
1. No direct lift to room floors. You always have to take the first lift to reception - which is on 7th floor and then change lift to room floors
2. No place to have complimentary breakfast except your room. Driven by space crunch I assume. And of course room delivery comes along with $8 flat fee for room delivery + state taxes
3. Room size is quite small for a standard room.
4. In my case, the hotel even charged my credit card wrong at the end if the stay, which I didn't realize at the moment. Later, had to deal with their finance department, which was quick to rectify the mistake but something that shouldn't have happened at the first place.

W's modern bar/lounge is fantastic and would not be out of place as a set for a Bladerunner movie.

I was by Times Square and the eye catching exterior got my attention. So I had to set foot in the lobby and found that it had a cool vibe, what with the music, design and colour. I was hooked and there was no way I was not going to take the elevator up to the bar/lounge. When those doors slid open and from my first step in, I was wowed by the place. I wanted to lay down my money and chill. But the tour bus awaited and back to the frosty night air of the streets I went. It impressed me and I will return next time I am in Manhattan.

Now I'm hooked and there is no way I'm not going to take the elevator up to the bar/lounge. When those doors slid open, my feet crossed the threshold and my eyes took in the surreal surroundings, I knew I had been transported to a place to plunk down my money and chill. But the tour bus awaited and I reluctantly returned to the frosty night air of the streets. But I will return. Check it out.

W New York is a perfect hotel for a weekend stay in time square. W is right in the middle of time square. Wake up in the morning and grab some starbucks right across the street before you head out on the town. Valet is very easy, but Self Parking is difficult. When self parking look for cheap parking and get a cab to hotel. Hotel is beautiful, very modern, upscale.

Right on Times Square, clean and center of everything. Rooms have a very modern-metro decor, gym and amenities was very nice. My only "issue" was the lounge. It was open to the public every night and very crowded and basically turned into a mini club. It made the lounge and seating unavailable to us and most every other resident. Wish I could have enjoyed to lounge with my wife!

Great stay and service. Nice, clean room with plenty of amenities. Only negative is the amount of noise that you can hear from Times Square. It's great to be close to so many sites, but it's a definite drawback if you're looking for uninterrupted sleep without earplugs.

My stay at the W Hotel was made incredible by the way the staff makes you feel. The front desk called me by name each time I entered the lobby. My room was cleaned by a caring staff. Even the doormen took excellent care of us. The restaurant was also amazing.

Suite is lovely, comfortable, clean and spacious. Noise from the road not so much (we were on the 40th floor so go higher if you can) but we had earplugs though. Also, no kettle or coffee machine in the room - not sure if ours was just missing, didn't bother asking. Overall nice hotel in convenient Times Square location with nice staff.

We went to a friend's suite for some drinks and to relax. The hotel surprised me as a New York resident as to how nice the suites are. Noisy as in we could hear lots of noise from outside the window. But lovely room, well furnished with a comfortable sofa. Would recommend the suite at least.

The best thing about this hotel is the location.. can't get a better location than right around the corner from the best place on Times Square. The price is high for the room though. Strange bathroom too where you can see the person using it through the shaded glass. Registration went well and they were helpful but next time we would for sure look for lower priced hotel a block or so away.

Cons: Rooms lack robes, slippers and coffee maker. The windows have only a blackout shade, so it's either all the light or nothing. The bathroom is only set aside by thin pieces of frosted glass and a sliding door. Not much privacy if you are travelling with others. The bed is maybe 6/10. Ordered a glass of white wine and a gin & tonic at the hotel bar and it came to $34. Ouch.

Pros: location can't be beat for theater trips. Hotel staff has been friendly. Lobby has a very modern and fancy feel to it.

As expected, W times square is chic and upscale, right in the heart of all the action on Times Square. For a tourist there may be no better place to stay than times Square.
The lobby and the bar of the hotel was particularly impressive.
My overall experience was comfortable overall. However, here are the negatives- I was surprised to see that there was no coffee maker in the room :/ . Another gripe I had was the blinds are these Opaqe up-down curtains and for all practical purpose, either you are have to pull them all the way up and give a full view into your room from the surrounding buildings, or pull them down and have no natural light come in. Translucent layer of drapes would have been nice that gives some sense of privacy without cutting out all the natural light. For a ritzy hotel chain, they should have considered this

Location of this hotel is the most exciting part of it, followed by the lounge on the 7th floor. Rooms are definitely better than most in that vicinity. Hotel is right on times square, with a starbucks right opp, which helps, because the breakfast isn't the best at the hotel.

Bathrooms aren't as well maintained as the hotel photos suggest and are a lot smaller than desired. Housekeeping services and toiletries are top of line. I would recommend carrying your laundry bags if you are fussy about how you repack your stuff. Laundry bags aren't large enough or sturdy to take a machine load full of clothes.

The service was great, the rooms were awesome. But the bathrooms in the rooms didn't have a fan so whenever someone has to go it always smells. The rooms were always clean but the food in the mini bar we're a little expensive though. They have a restaurant next door and the food there is delicious.

Really cool hotel. Great restaurants and bars. Loved Blue Fin! Right off of Times Square and near the subway line. The room was very clean and stylish. Room was nice and service was good. However thermostats in room was broken. Someone did come and fix it but ended up losing some sleep. There's also a strange high pitch noise that randomly happens. Keyless entry was finicky so make sure to get an actual key if you're using that just in case. You're in times square so easy access to everything but it'll be loud which is to be expected.

As with all W hotels, trendy, stylish, and modern. Normally have great experiences, but this one, not so much. After a long night, finally settled in to sleep, and a loud screeching noise, I thought it was the evacuation alarm. Turns out to be funky pipes soccer this goes on throughout the night sporadically. Some it was after 2, I was exhausted so didn't call the front desk since I didn't want to go thru the hassle of changing rooms. On top of that, booked the breakfast package, and wouldn't you know it...they charged me. Now I have to go through the hassle of contacting them to have my bill fixed. Ugh.

The interior of the hotel was great. Their view was not all that spectacular.

You had to look up and down the street, otherwards you're staring at your neighbors in the next hotel. For the price it would have been good for them to hire a window washer.

Very nice location close to all in central time square but far for service, which is for me form 4.5 star drop to 3. The room cleaning was lazy do change or replace supply and cleaning glass cup. Most unbelievable as when we go to front desk talk to clerk, the lady so rude, she stop my word and said : did u put " no disturb card in front of door" and I said I did not, then I said pls let me finish my word and suddenly she acting as tune her body go inside throw the " u talk to my manager" and gone. The lobby was on the 7th floor. It had a cool retro feel to it. Taking a second elevator to the room was interesting. Elevator was quick. Hallways were under welming, but rooms were average. We asked for forks, add they wanted to charge us. Located next to times square, it's a nice stop in NY.

You must be either a naive tourist or glutton for punishment if you choose to book any hotel on Times Square. But is it worth fighting through the crowds to get to the W? Not a chance. At its core is a distinctly mediocre hotel with a flashy (but cramped) lobby. The W brand is intended to reflect contemporary high design - instead the room fit-outs feel cheap and reflect what an 18 year old child would consider to be 'luxury'. Would not return.

The room was larger than expected but overall not as good as expected. The bathroom had a see through wall/door, so not a lot of privacy as you can imagine (depends who you are staying with, could work for or against you). The shower did not drain properly the first two days but was finally fixed on the third day when the cleaning lady saw the water on the floor-which was not thoroughly cleaned. Extremely modern with a fantastic entrance a few steps from Times Square.

This hotel is located right in the heart of Times Square and provide easy access to Manhattan. This hotel is very expensive and not your ideal hotel if you're on a budget. Just remember Location, Location, Location, you pay for comfort here. It's very hip, very clean, and very cozy. Overall a fantastic hotel with a lot of amenities.

I'm bias because I've been a fan of the W brand for a long time. This hotel centrally located, not too expensive and very hip! The bar isn't as happening as some of those other Ws, but you have so many choices in walking distance that it never bothered me. I've stayed there many times and hope to do so again soon.

If your looking for somewhere right in the heart of Times Square that is fancy and high end, The W Times Square is the place to stay. We got lucky enough to book to Presidential Suite at the top floor over looking the city and it was worth the extra bucks!

The hotel is modern, trendy and very loud. The reception desk is just off the bar area and is noisy. The rooms are clean, minimal and in fairly good condition. The location is very convenient but rooms facing Times Square are louder and can't stop all the light from coming in, even with blackout shades.

Celebration in the heart of New York Times Square with the perfect view for tourists in NY. W New York Times Square is an oasis away rom the chaos of the busy street. Rooms are comparable to most USA W Hotels. Perfect place to celebrate our daughters 16th birthday!
