Good location. Staff are polite, friendly and efficient. Asparagus risotto was excellent. Some areas have carpets and windows a little tired but most have been replaced and the hotel is on the up. Well worth the price.

Spacious rooms, and good to have an opening window with a fan too in the hot weather, but the furniture and decor in need of update. Quiet situation for my room, and good access to the Cathedral, river and historical buildings.

Beautiful old building. Room quality better than expected for price. Very close to all major shopping stores with the added bonus of boutique shops. Exceptional restaurants with a choice of tai, Singapore, Indian and much more. We loves the hotels location and although they charge for parking this is offset by walking distance and convenience to town. Staff are welcoming and friendly. We intend to use it as our stop over on route to the North.

Have been here plenty of times now and every time it has been an amazing stay, however my recent visit was not the best. From playing only £60 the first few times a stay and the room was gorgeous to paying £150 today my room have got worse each time I come here. Staff were nice but some of the new ones just don't wanna be here. I'm disappointed in how they've turned out.

Great price for a city centre stay. Stayed here several times and each time the rooms have been spotlessly clean and well presented. The building is old, and that gives the place some character, which is much more desirable than the modern hotels. Fixtures and fittings are a bit dated, but do a job. Nice large TV in the rooms and a nice cosy feeling. Only downside is the parking that costs and extra £5, which they don’t tell you about on aggregator websites.

had a lovely time in Worcester, and the hotel was fab, when we booked in the staff member was very cheery and welcoming. The night porter was really helpful when we asked for some ice, as the bar was closed, although we were told it would still be open if we wanted a drink when we came back. He was able to get us some wine so a big thank you Kevin. room was on the hot side, but really lovely. thanks we will be back.

Nice building but rooms basic and need updating. Bed wasn't comfortable and pillows were so thin. Door didn't lock from inside and kept awake by noise from men working collecting things all night opposite.

Bed and pillows were worse I've seen so uncomfortable. No iron or ironing board in room. Kept awake with business opposite coming and going all night and man snoring in next room..totally shattered for my breakfast meeting.

Staying at this hotel was a nightmare, getting a room facing the road, and big old sash windows letting traffic noise come thro, I actually thought I was dreaming it until I realised it was morning time, and now I had the seagulls to put up with aswell, asked to be moved to the other side of the hotel, no problem, last 2days was OK food OK and staff were very helpful.

Good sized room, comfortable bed and very clean. Breakfast was good although the coffee was instant served in a tea pot! Staff weren't that friendly but we had little need to call on them other than checking in and out. The thing I don't understand is why they charge £5 for parking despite staying there and the car park only being for the hotel!

Large room - 103 -comfortable with huge bed but, howling gale through old, badly fitted single glazed window made the room cold and unwelcoming. Disappointing Breakfast - Self service, bland, dry and tasteless. - very expensive, we expected more for our money.

Rooms are nice, but slightly outdated. Shower and bath could do with renovation. Rooms are quite large, but relatively warm.

Single occupation meant they put me in cramped but well appointed room on front corner. Lots of road noise. Draughty cold bathroom even noisier partly due to massive cracks in window glass.

First room was noisy and the bed uncomfortable, but spoke to reception, very accommodating, and moved us to another which was much better. Breakfast is superb. Not my first stay, won't be my last.

We waited 1 hour for food and it tasted like it had come from a microwave packet. Also staff were rude and spoke to our group like they were thick

We visited for afternoon tea. Despite confirming our requirements by phone there was a mix up with the booking, but this was resolved quickly. The sandwiches and cakes were very nice, although perhaps not as plentiful as other afternoon teas that I've been to. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The surroundings are very pleasant.

Good location to nearby shops, pubs & restaurants. Rooms very spacious but could do with an update. Room was tidy but the carpet could do with a hoover there were crumbs and hair all over the room. There is a bar with a decent variety of beer, ciders and wine. Breakfast was nice, plenty to choose from and room was spacious with helpful staff.

Great staff, great hotel, wifi in rooms is a tad slow but at least it has wifi. Ample parking, even for coaches. Would recommend staying here if coming to Worcester

Great location, clean room and friendly staff

Interesting looking building. Hotel nice enough. Twin room was decent size with average decor. Didnt pay for the breakfast. However i was disappointed when i was charged 20quid admin fee and additional 30quid for changing the reservation date to the following weekend. They said the following weekend was a more expensive date! Also charged 5 for parking. All a bit money grabbing.

Just got back from Xmas good location food good staff OK

I went there for a work do, and had a 3 course meal which was very good. They had an okay selection of drinks however the wine and prosecco we were given was not the best especially for the price. The staff were friendly and we were given a disco for entertainment which was good fun. Unfortunately I did not stay in any rooms so I am unable to comment on that.

Visited the hotel to attend a work's Christmas do. Location nice and central. Hotel building was pleasant enough. Staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks were a tad on the pricy side but that's normal for a hotel really. Didn't experience all of the hotel's facilities so a solid three stars rating given.

Very pleasant and very quick service of food and fantastic disco

Nice warm hotel at the heart of worcester city , 5 mins walk from the cathedral. 5 pound parking for any guests means this looses some stars but it's valid for 24 hours.

The hotel is clearly steeped in history. It's original features are beautiful and its location is perfect within the town.
The rooms are a little dated but as an overnight option this shouldn't put you off. It ticks the box. Comfy beds and regular facilities.

Friendly staff, decent parking, good location to the city centre, and has comfortable beds. The building is very warm 24x7, which you may or may not prefer, and the breakfast is relatively small but satisfactory.

The bedroom was a good size,bath & shower in a spacious room,water took quite a bit of time to heat up! Good size TV,& bed,one disappointing issue however,were the pillows all 4 had very bad stains on them! They need to be cleaned or thrown away.We had to put a towel over them.Help yourself breakfast was very good.

Apart from the rather squeaky floorboards and lack of towels this hotel was very nice and perfectly situated a 2 minute walk from the town centre. The staff were friendly and courteous. I will certainly consider staying her again.

i had to stay at Fownes for 5 days and i enjoy the accomodation , the Staff, the breakfast. A hotel where we can stay with our pet.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. It is very dated and needs modernising. Breakfast was great, good selection of full English, fruit or pastries. Has loads of potential with investment.
