The rooms are very comfortable, spotless & clean. Staff are friendly &helpful. Food is very average, also the wine list

Went for a conference no pork or vegan options,broken coffee machine no body cared to fix.toilets a bit unclean.staff friendly

Friendly staff. World's most comfortable beds. Shower isn't super high pressure but I still didn't want to get out was amazing . Food 10/10 they also have a great variety for gluten free guests

Excellent service and facilities. The spa bath in our room wasn't working and a light blew. All fixed while we were out but offered to fix both immediately. Only gripe was no blackout or noise suppressing curtains in rooms facing the main street. Restaurant is excellent and very well patronised. Currently $45 for "and all you can eat" dinner for adult. $25 for cooked breakfast.

Tidy rooms, friendly service, good food. Have a pool but was raining when I was there! Short walk to town.

Perfectly nice hotel. Decent bar, generous buffet, pool and spa (seems more like for the kids), however the rooms are a little lacking; nice beds, heaps of pillows, modern tv, powerful shower, card locks, buuuut no plates or cutlery, no microwave, in fact no way of preparing or consuming food other than tea and coffee. Honestly though, thats my only complaint - it's a nice hotel.

We recently held our conference at The Devon in New Plymouth. Corrina, Jan and their teams were amazing to deal with and last minute requests were accommodated quickly and professionally.

Clean and tidy, with friendly staff but the room was so small we had to walk side ways to get past the bed and miss banging TV mounted to wall to get to the bathroom. Also noise from other rooms and plumbing etc.. Was very loud at night, not voices but vibrations and bangs etc.. Very easily conducted through walls.. And a water pipe valve that would go off every 10mins during the night..

Clean. Well maintained. Good location. Nice place to stay overnight.

Great place to stay. Located close, but not right in the main CBD area. Clean and tidy, good customer service. Marbles breakfast buffet was also good.

It was wonderful because of the people I was with. Food not memorable at all. Service was OK.

On website says 24/7 manned desk went to arrange early morning check out only to be told had to do it the night before. Not cutlery in the room. Half normal size bar fridge would say is overpriced for what you get

This is the 2nd time I'm staying at The Devon Hotel , this time for work and it was just as awesome as the 1st time with the family. Clean, comfortable, great service and a real pleasure to stay . From the moment you walked in, you feel special with the ladies at reception welcome smiles. The Marbles buffet restaurant in house is a real treat with the food and dessert they offer. High light was the spa today. 6° outside at 8pm, and sitting in the spa 🙂. Thank you 'The Devon Hotel ' for the memorable stay. Again ! ❤

Had a lovely stay here. Our room was great with it's nice bed, air-con and free WiFi. My partner also enjoyed the spa bath.
Bathroom had pretty much everything needed if you had forgotten anything, such as shaving kit, toothbrush and even a sowing kit.
Also has a nice buffet restaurant and bar.

Stayed at Devon hotel during new years eve enjoyed my time there epic night in new Plymouth

Average out of date rooms with no air conditioning- very hot sleepless nights! The pool was great for the kids

OK, so I didn't realise it was only a three star when I booked.

I booked it because we were coming down for a funeral and thought it would be interesting to stay there since I worked there in the 70's as a waitress.

It was a disapointment. The room was so small that my husband almost knocked the tv off the wall trying to get to the other side of the room. Initially we were at the front of the hotel. It was so hot, with the sun streaming in, even with the blind down and the air con down as low as it could go, we were sweltering.

After the funeral, the following day, we came back to a room so hot that we couldn't stay in there and had to change. They changed us with no question, which we appreciated, to a cooler room.

It does not equate with value for money. In my business you under promise and over deliver. The Devon failed us.

Got to Hotel and had to change rooms as I could not walk upstairs. Room we were changed to was dirty. Found Dental floss on floor in bathroom. Bathroom was very small and room stunk like it had not been aired out. There was mold on the carpet from what looked like a water leak and could have been the cause of the smell in the room. Room was dated and bed TOO soft that we had roll together. I voiced my concerns and got a 50% refund but I would not stay again.

We had to change rooms soon after arrival due to internet not working. They swapped us without any drama. But overall good value ... same price as a 0.5 star place we stayed at in Okuhane. Pity about the weather tho.
