Great value for money, at an awesome location. Chill lobby and the friendliest staff. They allowed me to extend my stay for one night at a very reasonable price.

The hotel is very nice and clean. If you are looking for big spacious rooms this place is not for you, but if you're looking for a great minimalist modern style and nice staff this is absolutely the place for you. The food is pretty good and the location is central which makes virtually all of Berlin within reach.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Catalonia. A modern style Hotel with a large lounge and courtyard with a bar. Our room was large and very comfortable. It is also in a really good location in downtown East Berlin

I stay in Catalonia Berlin every time I am in Berlin. Never disappointing. Great location. large clean rooms. Breakfast is OK. 14 euros. I love the Spanish tortilla.
The only thing I dislike is the strong sweet smell in the reception area. but this is perhaps a very personal taste.

Great location near hip and youthful area in Berlin. Staff is very welcoming and rooms are large and clean - bed was extremely comfortable, too! Building is beautifully styled both inside and out; overall, a great place to stay in Berlin! Only downside I saw was the gym is rather small with no heavier free weights. Overall, four and a half stars. Highly recommend.

Loved this place. Great staff - very helpful. Room was good size, nice and clean. Great location to see the city. We hired bikes from the hotel and got around above ground very easily.

Good place to stay with fair menu and okay breakfast. Clean rooms, big lobby with breakfast room integrated. Also an outdoor sitting area which is away from traffic. Last time I stayed both sauna and gym were out of order, so can't say anything about them. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The Rooms are really great. But the staff and the breakfast are not really satisfying.

We loved staying at this hotel. Modern decor. Rooms are bright, clean, very spacious, minimal style. Super comfy beds. Large bathroom. Staff was very friendly. We didn’t have breakfast as it was too expensive but we easily found places next door that served breakfast for cheaper. Oscar at the reception was amazing! Would definitely return!!!

We had an excellent stay here. Clean rooms and beds that are nicely furnished with wonderful bathrooms. The hotel bar was a nice place to stay before venturing out in the evening. I had no experience with the breakfast, as I ate somewhere else. The staff is very courteous and has a decent mastery of the English language. Generally speaking we were all very happy with our stay and might very well come back.

Beautiful hotel, great location right next to the subway. The room was spacious and clean. Comfy beds and good heating, lots of natural light. The wifi was also strong enough to support Skype calls to home. Loved it!!

Friendly, happy staff, beautifully spacious room with monochrome colour pallete. Exceptionally quite, great access links (right next to the U8 and one stop from the s9/S5/S7). The bed was lush. Lovely high end Spanish feel with a great wine selection at the bar

Excellent hotel stay. Well appointed modern rooms. Typical old Berlin office building transferred into this swish and clean hotel. Great prices for a weekend stay. They offer breakfast and in room dinning. 24 hour concierge. 1 minute from the KitKat club, a brave adventurous sojourn into Berlin night club, not for the prude or the fasint hearted. 15 minutes walk to Alexander Platz and St Nicolas church and other grand Berlin monuments. A few steps to medieval museum.

This hotel has great potential. Love the decor and the vibe. Nice spacious superior room however we paid for a double room and got two single beds pushed together which isn’t great for a couple. Then we ordered room service - a vegetable sandwich - however we just received a plate of vegetables and the catering staff couldn’t see the problem... we sent it back. Would be ideal to know that there was no bread left before ordering a ‘sandwich’. Room was only cleaned once and we had to request more towels which took about 24 hours to arrive after 3 requests. The highlight of our stay was the reception man Oscar who was very kind and friendly and made us feel welcome. He is great at his job and I reckon if all the staff at hotel Catolina worked to Oscars standard and enthusiasm then Hotel Catolina could be on it’s way to a much higher rating. Would recommend still! Only minor problems and ok for what we needed for our stay in Berlin.

Excellent location 5 min walk from Alexander.
The wonderful hotel staff have become good friends.
I lost my suitcase and equipment and without the help of the crew I would not get back anything.

Recommended! Triple room was spacious and comfortable. Everything was spotless clean. Location of the hotel was also perfect, 10-15 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz, 5 minutes walk from the closest S-bahn station and a bus stop and U-bahn stop right in front of the hotel.

Nice modern room, nothing special but makes a good base with good public transport links

One of the worst hotel experiences lately. Understaffed reception with long wait times. Old and slow elevators with broken buttons. Tiny rooms with not enough space to turn around. 2 midget-sized blankets on a king bed instead of 1 normal blanket - and after asking 4 times for one you'll get ignored.

Nice hotel with confortable room. Sadly my room was very hot and I couldn't get the a/c to work. The breakfast is good, and the restaurant okay. It's very close from C-base which definitely require a visit !

Stayed for two nights. Room is clean and location is great. It's a bit too hot at night, and a doublebed is actually a combination of two single beds. If you sit in the middle, they will actually split.

cleaning staff knocking(and entering) even though DnD sign is up, terrible food from the roomservice and they completely botched our booked late checkout by calling to ask if we were checking out, knocking and finally entering without knocking. its a central spot and the rooms are normal, and they have a sauna that you can book free of charge. breakfast buffé was good but expensive. there was sparkling wine available by the juice bottles however....:) imho it should be a 3-star and theres nothing wrong with that.

Friendly staff. Jose was great. Noicy in the room what was faced to the main street. Comfortable bed. Clean rooms. Basic interior design.

Very satisfied. Good service, very nice room with some bad pointers. No water drainage in bathroom and such. Only small things that can be improved for a 5 star review. Recomended.

The best is the location it self!
It's basically in the middle of everything in Berlin.
So you are able to get to every cool location with public transport within 10minutes.

Centrally located, walking distance to Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt, close to transit. Great breakfast buffet, nice rooms, quiet, would stay here again.

The hotel was nice and clean. The staff has been very kind. I loved the style and the hotel bar.

Overall, this has been a good experience. The room has been clean and comfortable (except one day when the cleaners left my window open (it's February, quite cold)), and the service has been quite good.

Compliments to the room service staff for very quick service and quite good food. And the breakfast options are excellent.

The location is good for touring, right within a short drive of many of the most popular historical locations in Berlin. Not a lot of restaurants in walking distance though, so those options are limited.

Overall a very positive stay, I'm glad I chose this place.

The hotel itself is gorgeous!
The lighting at night is amazing and I love the industrial but cozy styling. Its a very casual chic hotel. The room we were in was a double, It was large enough and with an equally gorgeous decoration. All is very modern. De bed was very soft, unlike the mattress which was sturdy and highly comfortable. Cleaning was great, soaps and extra's were good. There's a TV in every room (with mostly local network and no subtitles). There is a minibar and a safe and a massage option. Location is good, it's close to the center of Berlin, the metro Is about 2 minutes away. And walking distance from Alexanderplatz.

The bar and personnel there were also great, we had one dinner at the hotel which didn't have a lot of vegetarian choices. And when I chose veggies, the aubergines were undercooked. The waiting staff made me feel like they hated their job. But still not an awful experiece

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are big, stylish and comfy. The kitchen closes at 11 pm but there's a couple of places nearby to experience the typical berlin-esque food at night

Nice hotel, conveniently located near a subway station. Inner courtyard with tables and chairs to lounge about was great (though this may only be for the warm summer months). Otherwise pretty clean and efficient hotel. The room we had was small but sufficient, and the service good all around.

Pretty ok hotel nearby U-bahn. The rooms were quiet and simply furnished which gave a spartan feeling. Somewhat weird interior in the toilet. The staff was ok, some good, some less good. Overall I wouldn't rate this as a 4 star hotel.

Stayed here in August of 2015 for a week. This is a solid and well kept hotel, with an excellent breakfast bar and very modern rooms. It is an oasis of calm and relaxation in an otherwise fairly urban neighborhood. Pricing is perfect and the courtyard is a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy bar beverages. The hotel staff are friendly and professional. i would totally recommend Catalonia to any of my friends who wish to stay in Berlin.
