The manager n his crew are very helpful. The rooms are very comfortable. Its home away from home. Pets are also accepted and that's a big plus for my little family.

Room needs updated. Carpet and curtains have stains. Headboard was not clean. On the plus side, the windows opened to allow a nice breeze :)

Parking was $15 a day and nearly impossible to find an available spot. There is a overfill lot across the street which is only slightly inconvenient. It is located near the ocean and nice walking path. I was allowed to bring my 55lb dog (rottweiler) for an extra $75. There is an indoor pool with no spa. Very clean rooms but also very crammed. If you plan on using the pull out sofa bed you will need to move the ottoman and table. Breakfast was always delicious. Overall, a great deal. 4 stars only because of the lack of available parking space in front of the hotel.

Asked for extra pillows was told they would be in room, they weren't. Room was hot as Africa and thermostat was unresponsive, called front desk and was told that I would receive a call back in a few minutes. Desk never called back. So on my trip to get more pillows (30 minutes later) I asked if anyone was able to look into fixing AC issue I was told maintenance wasn't able to get to it until the next day. Why not tell me in the first place? The trail was beautiful an really close by. Food was ok, better get to it fast though.

Hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming. Hotel is nice but a little dated. Great place to stay with a family. Has a little kitchen if you want stay in and cook meals.

This resort style hotel was very price efficient as well as comfortable. Very well kept up and decorated. The staff were very pleasant from start to finish. The rooms where a great size and nicely designed; including the view. They indoor spa was well appreciated considering it was 89° for the trip. This hotel also has a hotel shuttle to and from the airport complementary 😉 not a bad stay in the city.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The location of the room (1 bedroom king suite) was undesirable. It was next to the train tracks and a graffitied exit ramp. I did request a different room with a better view but there were none available until the next day. The complimentary breakfast could've been better.

Some staff were really great... Both staff assisting at breakfast were fantastic. A credit to the company.
Didn't try the pool, it was only 3.5 feet deep and usually at least 2 screaming children in there which could be heard from down the corridors... Good if you want that family feel.
Apparently our room had been refurbished last year but I beg to differ, it really felt dated and smaller/darker than the pictures represented (we had the king suite, one bed).
Quite noisy at times, the train line is very noisy and we could hear our neighbours having a hell of a domestic next door!
Breakfast was nice, conveniently located for travelling into San Fran (about 20-30 minute drive away) and San Mateo which was really nice.
Free carpark outside was handy.
WiFi was good.
Bed was comfy.

We needed a hotel in or close to city of San Francisco and needed it for the same night. Checked the price for this hotel and got a great deal. The hotel is at a quiet yet very posh place with a good view. It was close to full moon time that night and we could see the huge moon outside our window over the waterbody which was in front of the hotel. It looked beautiful. We got ourselves a Queen Suite Studio which was very spacious with all the amenities from Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Microwave Oven to Stove Burners, Study table and a Sofa. I liked the setup of the room. Bed was very comfortable and spacious. They also have free breakfasts in the morning which we missed. We felt the room service can be made better. We called them twice once in the night and once in the morning next day for some room service, once for water and another time for some toiletries and both the time we were told that it will take some time to get the room service and it would be faster if we came and got the stuff ourselves. I don't see it as a big issue but if you are in a mood for room service, it can be a bummer.

Room had thin walls, you can hear people talking next door. Make sure to ask for room not on train tracks/highway side. Breakfast and evening social was good. Rooms were clean as expected. Need to have a car as there's nothing nearby.

Close to airport. Nice rooms. Small TVs. Free breakfast is nice. Airport shuttle is convenient.

I stayed here after my Delta flight was over-booked and I accepted a voucher with a hotel stay for an early morning flight the next day.

The staff was friendly and the place seemed clean. The air conditioner in my room didn't work so I was promptly moved to a room across the hall.

I’m currently on day one of a 3 night stay... I arrived at my room 8 hours ago to find it unreasonably warm ( 79°). I turned the thermostat down to 69°, and could hear the compressor kick on, but no cold air. I went to meet a friend in the city for dinner. Before I left, I informed the front desk that there was an issue with the central air in my room. They informed me that they would have someone look at it while I was out. When I returned (4 hours later) it was still not working. I contacted the front desk only to find a different person who had no idea of my original request. They sent a maintenance worker up, who played with the thermostat for five minutes and declared that “real” maintenance person would be in tomorrow, but he would get me a fan right away. One hour later and I still have no fan, and the front desk isn’t picking up. I have also discovered the refrigerator doesn’t get cold and the bathroom sink and shower back up.

As a Hilton Gold member I am appalled at the conditions of this room, and I hope management gets on the ball tomorrow or the next 2 days will be hell. I’ll consider revising this review if they do, but in the meantime it’s midnight and still 77° in my room with both windows open.

Management contacted me the following day and offered a room change (no upgrade or bonus points), and they were very apologetic and sincere about the issues with my room. I have upgraded the review by 2 stars, but beware of the room you get and check everything when you first arrive.

The room was very spacious with a couch, bed, bathroom and a small kitchen. The pool was nice but not heated and no hot tub. There snack shop wasn't anything special but there are great places to eat just down the 101.

Clean rooms, with a small kitchen. Worked well, and was easy to get to. It's a short ride to the nearest restaurants, but not much walking distance. Walking around near the bay was amazing. And the room had a decent view even on the 2nd floor.

This is a hotel of two "halves". On the positive it is nice and modern, good facilities and helpful staff. The weekday light dinner we had was good and there was plenty of beer & wine available. The negative is that is a noisy hotel. Due to it's construction and location you get noise from outside trains and aircraft, but worse is the noise from other rooms. At night you can hear water running for showers and toilets. You can also hear people walking, moving in bed, etc from the rooms above. For whatever reason they skimped on using solid concrete floors and so sound just passes easily around. If you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you.

Great location where you can see the ocean from the hotel. The room was affordably priced and had a nice bathroom. I enjoyed having the microwave, refrigerator and freezer available in the room. Would stay there again.

Check in was quick and easy, love the support for digital keys. Rooms are spacious and full kitchen. What I liked the most was breakfast. Most places just dial it in for breakfast...they had a Southwest scramble that u actually had seconds of - a rarity for "included breakfasts!"

Wonderful staff during breakfast and evening social who take care of the guests well. Reception could have been even more cheerful to visitors though. No double bed rooms and no connecting doors between existing rooms as in most other locations.

Very noisy. Can hear everything from loud guests above and beside you and doors slamming. Bart right behind my room. Wearing my ear buds and playing music just not to hear all the noise.

Overall, not a bad place to stay if you don't mind noise.

A few days before Christmas we flew into SFO Anand out flight was delayed so we got in around 1am. After looking on hotwire I found the best deal and booked it, and was given the Homewood suites. Getting to the hotel was easy, only a 5 minutes drive out so. Check-in was quick and friendly. The rooms are evidently all the same with a queen bed and pullout which work as I was traveling with my daughter. Rooms are well appointed and come with a small kitchenette. My only complaint was the heat didn't seem to ever kick on so out room was a little chilly but that may have been used error, it was late and I was too tired to bother figuring it out.

Like the room a lot! Seems it just renovated. The layout & light is pretty good. Its noise isolation is awesome as well. After closing window I don't hear anything from highway.

We had a very positive experience when checking in. However, the hallway from the elevator to our room had an unpleasant odor and housekeeping didn't come to freshen up the room during our 2 night stay. The property didn't feel as clean and inviting as we expect of a Homewood Suites. I recommend staying at the DoubleTree in the same parking lot.

Very close to the airport. Friendly staff. Was unfortunately under a group with children and ceiling transferred sound pretty easily. For the most part quiet and comfortable.

Rooms are clean, spacious, stylish and comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and Happy Hour food selections are adequate.

Front desk folks are great. Rooms clean, suite rooms bigger than other hotel chains, with standard size fridge. Kitchen is good size with appliances and amenities stocked like you were staying in a condo.

It's a nice, quiet hotel with comfy beds and great staff, and the breakfast is tasty. The Wi-Fi is a little flaky, but so far, everything else has been quite good!

Place does not look as nice as it used to unfortunately. The carpet choice makes everything look dark. When i think of Homewood it is very invitening and family friendly. Bright colours with the best rooms and beds. This does have nice space in their rooms but not the same bright colours as other's.
Staff although friendly seem inexperienced. I have been hear many times and would come back.
It is in a great location across from the Ocean and a mountain. It also has a nice outside eating area.

Staff was friendly and quick. Rooms were clean. Free breakfast and wifi is a huge plus. The only con is that the sofa bed is pretty uncomfortable, but what can you expect? It's a sofa bed.

Pros: From front desk to housekeeping, all staff is super friendly and welcoming. Room is clean and very comfortable. Kitchenette includes everything you need if staying long term.
Cons: Very small pool, bathroom could use update, noticed spider webs on exterior of 4th floor windows.

Essentially a suite that has all you could need. Pots, bowls, microwave, etc. Good bed, and the staff is friendly. Also free warm cookies at around 7:30

Very nice room. 2 rooms, 1 with 1 king and the other with a queen. Kitchen and living room also included.

Check-in was pleasant. We arrived late, and everything went smooth. The room was nicer and bigger than expected for what we paid. The free breakfast was great, and the cooks were really friendly. I would gladly stay here again, and hope that I get the opportunity in the near future.

Have a suite on the first floor. Older decor but the room is very clean and spacious. Was right by the train tracks so was a bit noisy, but didnt bother us much. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. 24/7 coffee available with daily breakfast is nice.

This place is pretty decent. The only think lacking is the bed. I'm used to hotels competing with better and better mattresses. This hotel just had an old, somewhat uncomfortable inner spring mattress that has definitely seen better days. Or years.

Comfortable place for stay, beautiful location. Complimentary​ light dinner Mon-Thu is a plus. Enjoyed my stay in 2014.

As a swimmer, I really value pool quality and this one is pretty small. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet is extremely lacking and this morning they ran out of plates, forcing a lot of people to wait. That said, the view is beautiful and the service is wonderful and the people are so nice. I was decently content with my stay here.

Nice view of the property. Only reason it earns 4 star for me. The room is great but lack disposal garbage. The dining is a bit small. And it gets super crowded. We enjoyed our one night stay.

Close to the airport, free Wi-Fi, free parking and a decent breakfast. Room was clean but small for a suite. Overall a good stay.

Clean, roomy and comfortable! Stayed there two nights and was very pleased with the layout of the rooms, the cleanliness and the staff. The hotel is just outside the city which means the you save a lot of money and even though it is a bit isolated the hotel makes up for it with free breakfasts and a light dinner on week days and a small in-hotel convenience store. And, being located just outside of the city, means the area is calm and not crowded and only a short drive to enjoy all that San Francisco has to offer. Don't expect a luxury hotel, sheets and towels are clean and practical but not plushy. Rooms are clean and have great little kitchenettes but the walls are a bit thin and noise travels through the doors so don't come expecting an exotic escape but if you want efficiency at a good price this is the place for you.

Stayed there this past weekend, everything was great! Staff was very accommodating, room was clean and neat. Favorite among the staff was the Night Audit Kathryn! Definitely coming back very soon!

I was able to get the room location I wanted when I called the day of our check in and I let them know my preferences . The breakfast service was good as well but it does get busy at times so be patient, the staff replenish the food quickly. the hotel location is also convenient since it's about 25 minutes away from San Francisco. I was kind of disappointed with the indoor pool since it was very small and the area smells like mold as there seems to be poor ventilation. there is NO hot tub/jacuzzi. My room also had a kitchenette with a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave  and dishes and utensils (sets of 4). There's also a shuttle to and from the airport but not into the city.

When checking in, I felt as the employee didn't want to be there, nor did she want me there. My room wasn't ready and she told me it was my fault for showing up early. No "Sorry for the wait", or "Please give us time to see what we can find", just a mere "come back in an hour and a half" She treated the family behind me the same way. No compassion, no warmth of hospitality, just completely uncaring and unsympathetic. (Maybe I should have told her I work for Hilton Worldwide). When my room finally was ready, she must have noticed I was a gold member because she suddenly started behaving much more hospitable, and even gave me 2 waters. The waters would've been much more helpful during my hour wait in the lobby but like I said, I don't think she cared.

When I got to my room, I had empty coffee packets in my kitchen, I would much rather have nothing at all rather than trash being passed off as coffee. The room was clean, despite the strange white spots on the green couch. The breakfast was amazing and so was the Managers reception, except they kept running out of stuff. But in their defense, it was really good food and the attendant kept checking on everyone, I liked that 😂. The overnight staff was really friendly too.

Layout of the rooms is awesome! Only glitch was the $30 taxi ride back to the airport because the shuttle didn't run in time for a 6 a.m. flight.

Compared with Staybridge Suite in Sunnyvale, it is worse. Room is smaller, breakfast is not bad but worse than Staybridge Suite. However, you can use airport shuttle, and view is better.

What a beautiful place to stay. Right on the water and convenient to the freeway. Check in was easy and smooth. We helped ourselves with our luggage, as carts were available at the front door. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite was roomy and then some for our family. WiFi was fast and we even streamed a movie to watch with dinner (which we cooked in our en suite kitchenette).The free breakfast in the AM was enjoyable with a variety for every palate with 2 flavors of scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns. Waffle maker, fresh fruit, pastries and dry cereal at the ready. We did not regret staying and we will certainly return to stay again.

Nice location. But the rooms need updating. Carpets getting old. Bathrooms need remodeling . Food is great. Staff is friendly. All in all good and a reliable shuttle to airport.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and so many perks: Breakfast, Coffee all day, Evening Reception with good food/salad/soup/free wine! Did I say all free? It was. Also warm baked cookies at night. Rooms were comfortable, just far enough from the city, yet we drove in to explore everyday. Nice walking trail near hotel with marina and water view. Nuetrogena bath products, well-equipped suite kitchen with coffee maker, stovetop, Microwave, fridge, dishwasher... Can't say enough about this hotel. Internet was down a bit, but I was too busy site seeing and eating to notice...much. Looks like the furniture was just updated as ours looked newer than the photos I saw when we booked. TIPS: Ask for a room in the front side of hotel or entrance side. Ours was on far back side near RR tracks and loud freeway. We did not sleep in so not much of a problem. Pool was small but satisfied our child. Also had laundry area, but it seemed busy. We slept four comfortably in the kind suite with pull-out couch in living room.

Service was spectacular! Nick at the front desk was the most helpful person at any hotel in the dozens and dozens of hotels I've stayed in. The room was spacious, clean and fully furnished with appliances that we used. The price was very low for a really nice stay in a great location. I really think this was my best hotel stay regardless of price or stars.

I've never stayed at a hotel that cared more about customer service than this one. Everyone on the staff, especially Jennifer and Fred, and the man who worked the dinner buffet (I wish I had gotten his name). They went so above and beyond what's expected that they changed my expectations! I will never again be impressed by mediocrity. From this point on, I will compare every hotel I stay in to this one, and I have a feeling most will fail.

The free hot breakfast included something different each day and it was all excellent. The dinners were very good, too, with fresh veggies on the salad bar and all-you-can-drink beer. The buffet host even brought out a plate of cookies to our table - still warm from the oven! Even though the hours were posted, they kept bringing out fresh food as long as there were people still eating. At one point I saw someone replace a nearly-full pan of potatoes because she said she wanted to make sure we had the freshest food -- and this was 5 minutes before the buffet was supposed to close!

We were in a suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, plus the living/kitchen area. The beds were amazing. I think my King bed had about 5 fluffy pillows on it. The blanket was the softest blanket I've touched in my life. I didn't notice any offensive odors and never once heard the train, or noise from other guests. It was quiet and peaceful.

The sunrise over the bay in the morning is gorgeous. The mountain behind the hotel is also a nice view. They have a patio with fireplace and a huge grill. We enjoyed our meals on the patio with the palm trees and the nice breeze from the bay.

To see the city, you can drive into SF and park, park your car at a BART station like San Bruno or Daly City, or take the hotel's free shuttle to the airport and catch the BART from there. But beware, there are no restaurants or stores around. They sell basic stuff like drinks, snacks, toothpaste, etc, at the hotel, but if you need anything else you'll need to get on the expressway for a few miles. This is the only minor downfall. But I suppose that's what you get when you stay in a tiny mountain community vs the big city.

It was a fantastic stay! Overall, this property had a real homey, we're-all-family kind of feel to it. I hope I can go back someday.
