Beautiful ryokan with amazing food and friendly staff. We booked the room which has its own dining room for dinner. What a unique experience to have a Michelin star dinner served in your own living space! The attention to detail was exemplary. The owner was very involved in serving the meal and explaining the food and wine pairings, and he even set a specific temperature in the room for dinner! We played the provided jazz CDs while I did some calligraphy in front a huge window with a wonderful view of the garden.

Most beautiful ryokan of Kyoto. The perfect location allows you to easily walk to Nishiki Market, the Gion District, the Kyoto National Museum, and many other interesting sights. Their dining is heavenly. The staff and service is sublime.

米其林星级日本料理，很正宗，环境幽雅，服务很好而且还供应珍藏的美味日本酒。

What a lovely Ryokan, with a Michelin starred restaurant too! If you stay here, definitely eat the amazing breakfast in your own private dining room. And I recommend dinner too - one of the best I've had.

The rooms are quiet and lovely, and the inn keepers did everything they could to make us comfortable, even going home one day to find aspirin for my wife, who had a headache.

The bathroom has an amazing wooden soaking tub which is a great way to ease a tired body after a day on the town, and the architecture is beautiful throughout, such as sliding windows that overlook their lovely Japanese garden. Staying here was overall an amazing experience - Kanamean Nishitomiya ranks among my best travel experiences yet.

Magnifique Ryokan, Kasuo et sa famille sont très accueillants et attentionnés. Prendre la chambre avec le onsen privé et le petit jardin japonais. Le dîner (2 étoiles Michelin) et le petit déjeuner sont délicieux et surprenants. Une superbe expérience.
