I know the restaurant only, not the hotel. The afternoon buffet (14:30 - 17:00) in the restaurant is highly recommended. It is clean and not as crowded as many of the other buffets. It has an good, quiet atmosphere. The variety of the food is not overwhelming, but still very good. Quality over quantity. Sometimes they have discounts or coupons, so you can enjoy it for a very good price.

It is in the center of Taipei. Lots of stuff to do around there. They're renovating some parts of the hotel which will make it even more magnificent!

This is my favourite hotel in Taipei. Amazing service from the second you arrive. Nice outdoor swimming area and a complete gym. The room service food was actually pretty good too! Highly recommend this hotel, particularly at the price we received (around 2,700NT per night).

We got the room from a third party booking site for a very good price. Then we realized this room was not part of the renovation project the hotel had been advertising about because I stayed here many years ago when it was part of Holiday Inn. Well the room was almost the same. Except carpet was dirtier, wall paper showed streaks, there was mold in bathroom by the tub and under the rim of the sink and it was very visible and disturbing. My daughter has allergy to mold and she had difficulty breathing and respiratory congestion while staying in our room. Most furniture looked scratched and old. There was only 3 outlets available. Other than a spacious room. This experience is very disappointing. I emailed the manager after the first night and the manager Max was willing to offer a newer room without additional charge. I'm glad they are able to work with us. My advice to anyone who plans on booking a room here:
Make sure you know which part of the hotel your room will be when you make reservations.
Hopefully the house keeping job in this hotel can improve as well.

Big hotel. Friendly staff and good room service. Bathrooms are clean but a little dated. Worth staying only if there is a certain promotion by the hotel.

Reminds me of a hotel i stayed in Tianjin. Old design and renovated. Toilet was smelly. Thought it was the towels which i requested to changed all. However after changing. .smell still persists. It was the cleaning of walls or bath tub using dirty cloths that was not rinsed properly. Sprayed the toilet with some fragrance . Check out the next day.

A good central hotel. Clean and comfy rooms. Only stayed one night so didn't use any facilities. Staff were pleasant and welcoming.

Hotel clean, very good service, great location! Breakfast can be better, not enough vegetables, only one type of eeg, small selection of cheeses.

More than happy with my 4 night stay in this hotel. All staff treated me very well. Walking to my room on the 10 th floor, I could hear all the talk from the restaurant downstairs first level. As soon as I walked into my room and shut the door could hear nothing and loved my large room.

Bert from concierge was exceptional with his patience in helping me out with an issue I had with my airport transport.

I enjoyed my stay here. The double beds are small full sized beds. The workers are super friendly. We did not have breakfast included but they have a buffet style cafe downstairs.

The moisture coming from the airco is unbearable - not just rooms but whole hotel area, and the air conditioning blows a really cold air making me sick during the night. During check in, I was unable to purchase extra option (lounge access) that I was willing to pay! Resolved it, still it left a bad feeling. Amount of hotel staff is overwhelming but when comes to a simple request, I ended up sending emails to management. Had to change the hotel anyway due to that AC issues eventually. Never again.

Nice hotel with unbeatable location. Spent 6 months there. Service is excellent! They really went out of their way to make me feel at home. I recommend it without hesitation!

one of the best hotels in Taipei. very good for families. nice atmosphere. fantastic and helpful staff. They go out of their way to help you. the location is fantastic . upmarket area and it is business area. it is slways nice and relaxing to come back from our daily trips and feel welcomed and have a rest . The Guest relation Manager is one of the top operators, she is very nice, kind helpful she has surprisedmy wife with a nice full size cake on her birthday. also she went out of her way to make my child comfortable, thank you Akiko. Also Bert came to our rescue when we didn't know where to go. he saved us from spending large amount of money on a bad choice trip, he also gave us options to do by ourselves which were fantastic.Thank you Bert. Thank you Sunworld Dynasty. i stayed 9 nights and i will come back again

Good location. Staff speak English. But difficult to deal with hordes of noisy kids on a school trip - especially at breakfast time when you are in a hurry to get to office

Location is the best of this hotel! Anything else a bit outdated, gym is small, but there is one! Breakfast in first floor have variety of choice, executive floor not so much

Is a highly recommended hotel... is new, big and very convenient. Toilet is clean, service is superb.

Rooms were spacious and well kept, but it seems that the hotel is beginning to show it's age. The staff could be a bit friendlier, but it's nothing to scoff at. The Restaurant provides a good variety of food during the buffet breakfast, but the selection was a bit limited from day to day. Overall the hotel is a great place to stay at if your going to Taipei, The accessibility of the MRT and busses, as well as the local selection of food around the hotel makes it ideal for those who want to feel the city.

Recently remodeled... Much better than before with new furniture and etc.

The rooms were spacious, bright and rooms are clean and comfortable. It is in a wonderful location with close MRT access. However what impressed me most was the attentive and professional attitude of staff. Staff would actively seek eye contact and be of assistance immediately. Would definitely book again

I like this hotel, the executive suites are wonderful, well equiped and mini bar available with snacks and beverages included in the price, besides an exclusive dining place in the 12th floor.

We have stayed 3 nights due to business trip. Whole hotel smells like cigarette and fungus. the housekeeping wad just terrible.
First day, they came to clean at 10am so told them to come back at 12. We put 'clean the room please' sign on the door when we went out at 11 and came back to hotel at 3pm but room was not cleaned. Then they called our room at 6pm if we want our room to be cleaned.
Next day, we went out at 10.30 and came back at 2pm. Again, our room was not cleaned. We had to ask housekeeping lady to change towers.
Horroble place. Old and dirty with no service mind. Do not go there.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We had problem with the access cards not working and the manager was quick to fix it and offered a sincere apology. The lobby had some kind of construction and the outdoor pool was closed when we were there.

Went there for afternoon tea, and the food was quite good, despite being limited in quantity. I thought that their scallops were quite good as well as their selection of desserts and other foods.

the hotel location is perfect. right in the middle of taipei and next to the mrt and bus stops. the staff was very friendly, there was always someone there to open the door for you. the dining area was beautiful. and the hotel room is decent for a taiwan hotel. however the bathroom floor was a bit dirty and we encountered a couple cockroaches during our stay. our check in was also delayed by an hour which was an inconvenience to us as the original check in time was already considered late for us (3pm).

Everyhings are good. It is located in the middle of city, close to subway. Everybody is kind and room is clean. And I love swimming pool. I could relax enough.

It's a long-established but hasn't been well renovated hotel. Despite the aged facility, located in downtown with convenient transportation and the courteous hotel staff, it's still a hotel to recommend for travelers who tend to stay in down town Taipei with fair service at fair price.

This place used to be the Holiday Inn, now it's just old, dirty, smelly and run down. It needs a complete overhaul. The staff is mostly friendly and very helpful and the breakfast buffet is pleasant, but the rooms are dark and musty. The televisions might be 30 years old. Stay somewhere else unless you have to have a swimming pool in your hotel for around US$100 a night. Otherwise go stay at the Hondo hotel down the street.
