The customer service here is much better than a lot of hotels I've stayed in, and I travel weekly for work. They even have a real hot breakfast buffet, which most Courtyards don't since they've all switched to bistro style breakfast.

Great service, great location, lovely staff, clean rooms, good value for the price. Excellent shuttle service, extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Good but could do better, two things let this stay down.
Great location overlooking the park. I was fortunate to get a corner room with windows on two sides. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Mid-week breakfast was cooked to order rather than buffet and the quality was good but the dining room was managed poorly. There was one waitress covering the whole room so service was challenging. Even the availability of a coffee station would have taken some pressure off and made the experience more enjoyable.
There is no food available outside of breakfast hours. I got caught out arriving at 3:30pm after a long trip from the west coast having not been able to take lunch en route. There are restaurants close by.
I booked a taxi at reception for my early departure since I wasn't sure of the availability of Uber so early in KC but the taxi was not there at the agreed time. I'm not sure if this was an error by reception or the taxi company but it was stressful. I was fortunately able to get an Uber quite quickly but the receptionist was unapologetic. This was disappointing. 50/50 as to whether I would stay here again, I might shop around.

The beds are nice and firm. It's close to shops and restaurants. My daughter loves the milkman doors. The room in the suite was a little cramped. The pool is small and outside. You have to pay to park. There was cold water in the rooms unlike the overland park Marriott. The wifi works, although it took a while to figure it out. Pay to park and no free breakfast.

Classic old building off the Plaza, nicely finished into modern hotel. What you would expect from a Marriot Courtyard, good beds, furnishings, TV, fast Internet. My room had 2 doubles and fold out couch, could have easily accommodated 5 people. Only downside is no parking, pretty much limited to paying to valet your car for the night.

Great location and friendly staff. Overall, the hotel has a vintage feel to it, but the decor is modern. My only gripe is the water pressure. For those that enjoy gentle rain like showers, this place will deliver. But for me, I wouldn't be able to put up with it for stays beyond a nite or two.

My family stays here about once a month. Great service. Really appreciate the loyal customers. They often have fun live (usually acoustic) music in the bar/lobby area on the weekends. The staff who work the bar are really kind and welcoming.

This hotel is spectacular! The staff is courteous and kind and we have enjoyed our stay. We won a complementary night's stay but will surely come back! The hotel's location is also a bonus. Check them out!

The place was nice and in good location. The room was excellent. The coffeeshop was not good. Just go around the corner to Starbucks, I guess.

Quaint hotel with excellent staff. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants, but away from the traffic. Parking and elevators are not straight forward, but the staff were great at letting you know how to handle it.

Nice, clean hotel with fair pricing in the Plaza. They just started charging for parking and now offer valet too. We stay here for the holidays every year and have never had a problem. Old historic building but recently renovated. Small bar in lobby. Brunch restaurant is pretty good.

The Courtyard Marriott on JC Nichols Parkway, on the Plaza is beautiful. Originally built as a small apartment building in the 1930's, I believe, it has been restored and remodeled and is now entered on the historic registry. My husband and I visited the Courtyard recently, coming to Kansas City for our 40th anniversary. I lived in Kansas City in 1977, and had an apartment in the now Courtyard Marriott. I was so happy to see that the restoration of this historic landmark has been attended to with such care and so beautifully, retaining the original lobby, with all of its charm and warmth. The rooms, one of which I was privileged to see, which had been my apartment 40 years ago, allowed me to see the new updated look. Given new beauty, with all the amenities and comforts, still offers a wonderful sense of authentic ambiance, character and charm, which would welcome any visitor. The staff is professional and offer warm welcomes to the guests. Our anniversary was made even more special by one of the managers, Brian Toliver, letting us see my former apartment, and where my husband proposed over 40 years ago. While we stayed at another location on this visit, we certainly know where we would like to plan to stay the next time we visit Kansas City. And we will feel right at home. Within walking distance of lots of restaurants and stores. Rooms were very clean. Self park in the garage behind the hotel. Nothing special but a pleasant stay all the same.

Beautiful rooms with very friendly staff. The only issue I'd have is with the lack of complementary free breakfast. But it is conveniently located near a shopping area. The free WiFi was kind of slow but it was reliable.

Beautiful building in a great location. The breakfast buffet was good enough for the cost. Overall it was a pleasant, though not great, place to stay.

Having plenty of cheap parking was a huge plus, though when it rained the two level garage had a waterfall in the middle of it, so that might some repair.

Housekeeping seems like they could do better, they took stuff (towels and cups) the one day we were there, but did not replace them. I also could hear a guest complaining of an unprepared room after they checked in, and housekeeping was already gone for the day. On top of that they only had one person working on a Friday night. She was very overwhelmed, and I don't blame her. Also the industrial fan pointing at the ice machine on our floor was classy.

The room overall was quite, but I think I could hear every time the people above us flushed the toilet.

Maybe I am being picky, since this is only a Courtyard but the cheap construction and poor maintenance of rooms in these hotels is always apparent. Though I am just starting to associate that with this brand. I suppose that is to be expected for the cost of the rooms. There was water damage on the ceiling, a ruined view to the park due to horribly dirty windows, water damage in the bathroom, poorly cleaned tiles and floor, and the pull out table was missing a wheel. Also, with all the technology we have today why do hotel TV guide menus still move so slow that you just want to give up after awhile? Maybe it's to convince you to go explore the city.

But hey, at least not paying for more or better staff and maintenance they can still afford to put up christmas lights.

Great service and friendly staff. Clean and neat room. My only complaint was the bed was hard for my liking so it wasn't a great night's sleep, but may be perfect for someone else.

Nice clean rooms, beautiful old building fully modernized. Your price also includes a very nice sector of town with very good restaurants within walking distance. Would stay again for sure.

Room was quiet and an easy walk to food and shopping, literally the only thing I would add is some microwavable popcorn in the snack area by the front desk.

It is a great hotel with good service and located in the middle of the city where there are so many things to do just within few steps from the hotel. Shopping, restaurants and parks are all around the hotel so u get to enjoy the busy life if KC. But the prices seem to be a little too high especially since the hotel is a little bit old though very well maintained

Stayed here during a business trip and the hotel is pretty straight forward. Nothing to be excited about except for the location. Room was clean and staff was professional. No breakfast included in the cost. Parking was located in a garage about 100 yards from the rear entrance, which was fine, but not ideal.

Great Hotel within easy walking distance to The Plaza Shopping Center and many restaurants. Obviously an older hotel having the National Historic Landmark designation but well maintained and nicely renovated.

Do not expect this to be like a normal Courtyard Marriott. This is a refurbished old building that they call a Courtyard. It is nice, but there are a lot of odd things you get with old buildings. Our room was probably worse than most, even though it was a king suite. You could not take an elevator to our 1st floor room, and that meant carrying roller bags up and down 2 half flights of stairs, plus the set to get from parking lot into the building. Not impossible, but more than my family could manage. Worse yet (or great if you like loud white noise), our room was next to the outdoor cooling system, so every 29 minutes or so you heard a non-stop high-pressure flowing sound of what I assume was coolant flowing from the building to the chillers outside. It is turn up the tv-volume kind of loud.
Nice staff, clean, and an excellent location, you are only 2-3 blocks from a Cheesecake Factory and a Jack Stack barbecue - both of which were excellent. $5.00 parking per stay (not per day, just for your entire stay) with unlimited in&out.

Great view and good pool. Bathroom was modern and spacious. The room is clean and i love the comfortable beds and pillows.

The lobby and rooms were near immaculate. The Starbucks up front did not have hours posted so added to confusion as to when food could be bought there

Most pleased with this hotel which is ideally situated on the Country Club Plaza. The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable, adequate parking and the service is outstanding especially at the front desk where needs are quickly addressed. Breakfast is good wirth equally good service.

The County Club Plaza is a nice place to walk around. With this hotel close by, it's a quick walk to be right in the middle. The hotel is nice and comfortable. It has all the nice amenities that Courtyard offers.

Had the loveliest stay this weekend. The hotel staff went the extra mile to make our children feel welcome. Rooms were perfect, spotless, comfy bed/pillows and most importantly the location is fantastic!!!! Will return again and again. 5-Star!

Decent enough place. A bit pricey for the amenities. Location is great, with walkable, safe areas to eat and shop.

Staff was courteous, rooms were clean, great location, plenty of parking. They were very hospitable to our very large crowd that often stayed up late in the lobby. Our family had gathered for a wedding.

The room was updated with a view of the park. The lounge downstairs was nice. I enjoyed the Starbucks lattes in the lobby.

This hotel has charm and a friendly staff. Convenient to KCAI. Parking is reasonable too. Everything about it was clean, and enjoyable. I did not try the restaurant though. Very homey feel about staying there.

Decent hotel. Convenient walk to much of KC. Friendly staff. Free parking. That's pretty much it. I've stayed in better. I've certainly studied in worse.

Stayed here while in town for a business meeting. Check In was super simple. Very friendly staff. I didn't drive but my friend who did said parking was great. They have a parking garage and he was very relieved not to have to worry about his new car.

Rooms were much bigger that I thought they would be. Room was spotless. The housekeeper was cleaning the room next to ours and I observed she was doing a really good job. Not just a quick wipe down. Nice having a fridge in the room.

One thing I hate about travel is not sleeping in my bed. I love my bed and hotel beds usually end up being not very comfortable but I was surprised how comfortable the bed was.

Hotel is within walking distance to the Plaza and that made it really nice.

Will defiantly stay here again.

Did not have a hotel as we did not know for sure we would be staying the night. We stayed January 22 a Sunday. Called the hotel direct and they were very helpful and gave us a good rate. We are Marriott Rewards Members. The hotel was a very short walk to Plaza shops and restaurants. The staff was outstanding

Great location on the plaza - nice room and beautiful historic building!

Nice place, but the thermostat can't be changed. From Phoenix, and was visiting when it was very cold. Maybe 69 degree settings work for those that are used to the cold, but not for a cold weather wimp. It was very cold in the room and won't return to this location/hotel in cold weather months. Nice room, comfortable bed, and great shower though. Also, the restaurant was overpriced and food wasn't very good.

We always enjoy this hotel. It's not so new and modern, but is very nice, the staff is. Excellent and the proximity to plaza is superb.

Absolutely amazing time. Live music on the weekends, but even more awesome was the fact that I couldn't even hear it when I decided to go upstairs and go to bed. Soft beds and comfy rooms.

Place was clean. Bed was comfortable. Parking could be better marked but that is common in a big city. Overall I was very happy with the stay and I would go there again.

The Courtyard is conveniently located close to all the restaurants and shopping of Country Club Plaza. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint would be in regard to the air conditioning. Everytime the fan turned on, it was very loud. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay at the Courtyard Marriott.

Staying with a friend who's on a business trip. Amenities are nice. Bathroom clean and well-decorated. Little fridge holds leftovers, there's a microwave, wardrobe, desk, couch that i think is a pullout bed. Our queen sized bed is comfortable. The reason I knocked a star off is how weirdly humid it is. We set the thermostat really low shortly after I arrived because the carpet was almost sticky with humidity. It cooled off, and it's still humid. There isn't a fan in the bathroom either, so that shower humidity doesn't dissipate.
Not a bad room though. The lobby is decent, and we got Starbucks at their little bar-type area (it's only open till 11AM though, then it's alcohol I believe).
I saw people out back in pool, sunbathing. Didn't look huge, but there were only 3 people. Out front has lots of plants and another area to sit and enjoy the sun. There's a parking lot in the back, it's slightly confusing to get to if you're driving in at night, but still doable.
I'd probably stay here again. Maybe not in the humidity though.

Nice place. Walls must be pretty thick - we were loud but received no complaint. Secure. Guard greeted us when we returned that night to make sure we had a room.

Nice location that's close to everything. Polite service. Only thing I don't like is the tiny windows in my room.

Ironing board subpar. Not helpful with forgotten toiletries.

Kerri McNeil, Bianca Davis, and Suzanne (front desk) were all incredible in helping and supporting my team. I had my entire team from across the country stay at this hotel two times for our workshops in the last year and half and the team is always exceptional! We are a "fun" group and the hotel is always great for us. Tony and Richard at the bar both did great and were awesome to get to know as well. As a platinum member I truly appreciate the job what this staff did for my team and . Thank you very much and we will be back! Jeff
