This Hampton inn was convenient for us as it was off the highway. The room was nice but had a couple of issues. I would return but only because it is so close to the route I traveled.

Great hotel experience! Very clean and comfortable. We've been here several times and will continue to come when we are passing through Virginia!

Everything was nice, and comparable to other Hilton branded hotels. The bathroom was a bit dirty but a staff member took care of it when asked.

Nice breakfast. Very clean. On a fast, less congestive route to Chicago. Wish it had a hot tub, but probably wouldn't have had time to use. Great value for $.

Nice hotel. The bathroom was very clean and the beds were awesome! The room was clean. The walls were scuffed and do need painting. That didn't interrupt our sleep at all!! The breakfast was like all the other Hamptons.

Best night's sleep in a hotel I've ever had! The comforter ( or duvet) was the perfect weight without sweating me to death all night! The bathrooms were big and very nice. The breakfast was wonderful! I would come here just for the breakfast bar! (And my kids loved the waffles!) Pool is a decent size and they didn't complain about that, either. Very nice!

I stay at Hampton Inns most of the time, and usually it's a good experience with comfortable beds and a reasonable rate... But my room had the loudest A/C unit I've ever had. Also, my room, #231, smelled like it may have been a smoking room in the past... Still better than the Lake Norman, NC property!

Stayed 2x last week. On the way south and again coming home. Reservations were easy. Room was clean and quiet.

This hotel is modern, the staff was friendly and helpful. It has an indoor pool, business center and fitness room. You can hear some noise from the hallway. I believe it was coming under the door. The room included a nice lounging chair with a tray or commuter desk which was very helpful if you wanted to do some work. If you have a Hilton Rewards card free WiFi is included with your stay.

Nice spot but a little pricey

Rooms are quiet and high-roofed, with relatively firm mattresses. No luggage racks. Bathrooms are clean but need remodeling in small areas like caulk. Lobby pool is very green. Front desk staff is polite and friendly but not super knowledgeable. Exercise room smells like urine. Breakfast buffet is standard sweet frozen pastries, "cheesy egg omelettes", and fake waffle batter. There is fresh fruit, oatmeal, bagels, and booked eggs too. Air conditioning is hard wired into rooms and fan cannot be turned off, so will check on and off again every few minutes your whole visit, no matter what temperature you set. This is quite loud. Showers in different rooms have varying water pressure, some OK and some poor.

Clean rooms. Small parking lot. No room for trucks with trailers. But overall great place

Hotel was going through a remodel, but it did not affect our stay. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was courteous and efficient. Very good place for a stay to break up a road trip.

Friendly staff. Easy checkin. Could use a bit of tlc. Noticed some areas in room are worn. Overall was a comfortable place to rest.

Higher priced hotel right off interstate. Older, rooms nothing special for the price. No feather beds here. Desk personnel not so kind. Breafast was nothing special. Coffee brown water. Does have indoor pool and right next door to a great Mexican Restaurant.

The Hampton Inn Roanoke is am excellent place to stay ; it is right of I 81. The staff at the front desk go's out of its way to help you and make your stay as pleasant as possible. The room was clean and fully stocked. I do recommend this hotel.

The rooms were nice and clean, but air conditioning was not cold enough. Breakfast left much to be desired. But coffee was very good. Staff was very friendly and eager to help.

Nice rooms. In room products were high quality Neutrogena products. Very clean. Pool was a little foggy but not dirty. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I will stay here again.

Par for the course with Hampton inns. This one is a bit smaller than others that I have been in lobby wise but the rooms were clean, bed was fine, no weird smells or any reason to suspect and poor upkeep or house keeping. Convenient location for passing through on a road trip. You can't go wrong here, but it's nothing special.

Not one of the nicer Hampton Inns that we've stayed at. We reserved a room with a wet bar, but there was no wet bar... luckily it was the same price. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable, we usually love the beds and pillows at Hampton Inn... the A/C was HORRIBLY loud. The hallway smelled like ammonia.
The pool was nice and warm, though. Although, the floor around the pool was disgustingly dirty. Hair balls. Dirt.
Definitely will not stay at this one again if we can help it...

Exceptionally clean fluffy, cool, pillows, cool sheets and bed convert feels like gel against skin. Great for people who have temp rises while asleep. Only problem I had was the $50.00 xtra charge for a dog under 50lbs. That's NOT right. Because they certainly do not disinfect the rooms where dogs have urinated. My dog was sniffing every corner of every piece of furniture in the room. $20.00 is the max that a dog is charged everywhere else.

Folks at check in were nice. Cookies were good. Room was clean.

Decent hotel at a decent price. The staff was pretty nice and the property was ok; although it seemed a bit old school with the noisy window heating/AC unit. It is close to the highway and also gives free breakfast. The pool opens early (7am) which is good for people looking to get a swim in before 11am checkout. The parking seemed ample and I saw some cars with trailers. The breakfast was so-so and they could stand to add an extra waffle iron being that they did include nice syrups and whipped cream to make them pretty legit.

We requested a Handicap accessible room. With 2 Queen bed. We were on the first floor. Plenty of room to move around in the room and bathroom. The shower had a wooden seat that folded against the wall and the hand held shower head could be set on its stand a variable heights. I will definitely stay here again.

Family of 5 traveling on the road. Needed a place to stay to fit all of us. This place had a 2 bed room with a sofa couch. The room was HUGE! The hotel staff were friendly and attentive. The Continental breakfast was pretty good! This is my second time staying at a Hampton Inn and I'll be visiting again.

Older hotel but updated and in line with the Hilton promise I have grown to love. Comfy beds, clean rooms, clean common areas, fresh breathable air, and a breakfast that gets my day going right. Top it off with friendly staff and you have a great hotel with quick on/ off access to I81. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing experience. We stopped last minute around midnight and checked in. Jay helped us out and had us taken care of faster than ever. The room was very clean and spacious. When you have been driving all day and just need a place to sleep, customer service makes the stay that much better. 100% recommend you stay here and please look for Jay, he is a rare find in today's service industry.

I always enjoy staying at Hampton Inn as they are always nice and clean and comfortable. This one notes online that they are doing construction during the day. I didn't see any signs of construction which is nice that there were no eye sores. However, in our room the toilet was not completely secured to the floor and the closet door magnet was coming off. I'm not sure if these were items on the list for repairs, but they should be. Otherwise, no complaints and the breakfast was plentiful as always.

Nice room, they gave great options on local places to eat, typical breakfast. Was a bit put off by the overnight staff, someone needs to explain this is a hotel, not a dormatory. At 50+yes old, if I get up in the middle of the night due to random noise and quietly go to my car, to get something, I don't need to be chastied by front desk staff about what time it is.

You always can count on a Hampton. Spacious room and accommodating desk folks, they will make it right. Didn't like the eggs this time, but options were numerous for breakfast. Slept well to auto ocean sounds and comfortable king bed.

Right off I-81, clean and comfy. Good breakfast. Indoor pool and good exercise area.

We paid about 120 a night but the rooms are awesome and they have an indoor pool which was very warm great time all together
