Disappointed. This is a 4 star plus at best and I’m struggling to see why it’s rated as 5 star luxury. It’s a lovely hotel, clean and plenty to do but it’s not 5 star! The pool side beds are all ridiculously close so you are squeezed in like sardines and the rush to save beds is crazy and stressful. The staff are friendly however we had a huge mix up with our bill and it took 3 days and many staff to resolve due to incompetence which was very frustrating.

The rooms are decent and the bathroom is very good but they are not cleaned properly! Our shower never got cleaned and we had to ask for it to be done properly. They also did not clean the cups and spoons used with the in room tea and coffee facilities and I came back to the room early
Only to catch the cleaners running a used cup under hot water in the bathroom sink which by my standard does not make it clean!! Disgusting for a 5 star hotel!

The highlight is the on site restaurant which serves fabulous food at night . The bar Rubi is also very good so it does have some good points.

There is a stunning spa on site but you are charged €35 just to get in and use the jacuzzi and hydro pool. I’ve stayed at many 5 star hotels and never been charged to use the facilities, only treatments.

Overall it’s a nice hotel and the shuttle bus to the marina and beach is good but this is a very good 4 star not 5.

Amazing hotel! Fantastic service by the staff. The rooms are lovely I especially like the glass walled bathroom. The beds are also very comfortable. I really like the restaurants that are by the pool they served brilliant food. My only complaints are that the pool is very shallow and that it closes at 7:30pm. Also in the games room the snooker table didn’t have any equipment to play with and the games room was very mediocre and everything not working properly. But apart from that fantastic stay and I will definitely be coming back again.

It's a really wonderful hotel. Very nice and clean rooms, great pool area and lovely restaurant. Great steaks and wine selection. There was also a shuttle bus to marina in the evening organised by the hotel. Thanks for the lovely stay! :)

A dreamy, beautiful, secluded resort which is just wonderful if you have children (more the merrier!) This place caters wonderfully for families of any size. There are about 5 or 6 pools on site. Very family oriented.

Great hotel, excellent customer service and facilities contributed to a very enjoyable holiday. The regular shuttle service enabled visits to the bustling Vilamoura marina and to the beach where Hilton customers were well catered for. The staff were always on hand to help with any issues or ideas on places to visit. We look forward to visiting again.

Nice location and easy walking distance to super market for snacks. has several nice resturants which were in the hotel itself. pool was nice in size and temperature but the bottom of the pool was very rough on the feet and needing repair. the bar service was awesome, thanks Arther for your great drinks. they have a shuttle to the marina and beach which is free and runs on the hour. we also found Restaurante Rio which we loved just a short walk away from the hotel. their service was excellant as well as their Steak on a Stone meal.

This is our 3rd visit to this Hilton. I can recommend. (10 months ago)

Just visited the hotel again for another week. This visit was just ok. Too many small niggles that left me feeling I could do better. One or two I could cope with, but there were many.

1. The Cilantro restaurant closed again. I say again because it was closed last year. Please don't tell me the other restaurant serves meals. That's where I get breakfast and it feels like breakfast when I eat an evening meal. This is the Hilton not another hotel.

2. Rubi bar closed at certain times. Again nothing to bad just not what I expect from a Hilton. The menus in the Rubi bar are falling apart. The look like they have come from a cheap carry out and haven't been replaced for years. Really Hilton?

3. Pool bar closed. The upper pool bar that is. This is just unacceptable. For any hotel. The hotel Missed out on several opportunities to sell lunch and cocktails because of this alone.

4. The main pool area bar open with one staff member. I didn't even bother trying to buy anything.

5. Fewer staff by the pool generally.

6. The sun umbrellas have change. They are now cheap plastic affairs that have a cheap look. Last year's wooden, tired as they were, looked so much better

7. Ice machine's in the corridors have been removed and not replaced.

8. The moving water feature was operating on one day only.

9. Bird mess on the loungers every morning.

10. The romantic pool looked a little green around the edges.

Over all one or two of these would be ok. Not all off them..

Exceptional Hotel. We stayed half board and the evening meal was fine dining at its best, was well worth spending the extra to eat at the hotel. the staff are amazing and our stay was just perfect.

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. We received an upgraded room & treats to celebrate our honeymoon. Very clean and the Cilantro restaurant was amazing for dinner. Breakfast buffet was also top notch.

Birthday party for my son. Fantastic space for kids. The staff are great and cant do enough to help. So relaxing as its totally enclosed but with so much for the kids to do. It really is an exeptional place to have a party for kids. Will be back next year. Well reccommended.

We enjoyed our stay here, the staff are very nice and friendly and the breakfast was superb except for Celine Dion music which is not necessary, the location is good and if you play golf you will love it the course looks great, the spa was also a very nice atmosphere, we had a room on the top floor with a great view.

Totally relaxing experience every time. Smashing place to stay and all the staff are superb. 😀

great experience from check in receptionist. very attentive & helpful with tips on surrounding areas to visit & do. upgraded to 2 bedroom suite that overlooks thr golf course which was very nice & spacious.

Fabulous Hotel, on extensive grounds... about a 20 minute walk from the hub of the town, but I suppose this affords it to be so expansive in it's grounds and pool area's...

Holidayed for a week here in June 17.best hotel in Vilamoura,every need catered for.pools fabulous,staff wonderful.breakfasts good but coyld be improved by inclusion of salmon,more meats available.

Golf only resort with spa for non golfers.
We drove five hours for a new years eve Gala and two games of golf. Nice enough place and only a cab rIde from the Marina.

Facilities are ok. Staff is friendly. Situated in the affluent and quiet suburbs of Vilamoura. Very nice golf course and good swimming pool areas

Great place and location. Friendly and helpful staff on the whole. Some speed issues on the catering side, and not yet accustomed to what veganism means.

Fantastic resort, close by to the marina but has a complementary bus to drop you there as well if needed. Lots of pools to enjoy, and the hotel self is fantastic. No faults

My partner and I spent 5 nights in the Hilton and had a brilliant stay. The room's are beautiful. The Spa 7 is absolutely amazing! Nothing was a problem for the staff. Always pleasant and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

We have found the hotel to be excellent. We are here for a week and our room is lovely. We are looking out towards the golf driving range. No views of the sea as we are just over a mile inland. It is a pleasant walk down to the marina, but the hotel puts on shuttle buses to the marina and beach during the day, and to the marina at night until 10pm. Beware though as some times are very popular and you aren't guaranteed a seat so you might end up waiting for the next one or walking or getting a taxi.
The breakfast is buffet style, with a chef cooking you an omlette or making paoched eggs if you wish. Food is great and my wife who is vegetarian has no problems.
Staff are friendly and helpful and the room is cleaned every day. The fridge in the room is rather small and you automatically get charged for things that are removed, so difficlut to manage if you want to put your own things in.
The drinks and food are expensive but what can you expect from a five star Hilton hotel?
The prices at the beach club are a little better, and the beach area is great, with towels, sunbeds and parasols provided. The beach is superb, with lovely sand and miles long!
The sea (The atlantic) is a bit rougher than we have experienced on the med, with quite big waves even on fairly calm days, but it is great for surfers and body boarders. Vilamoura is a lovely place with lots of restaurants and bars, and a nice marina with the usual beautiful boats. Many worth millions of pounds. Nice to look and dream...

Great hotel and service. The omelettes were fabulous. We had a really relaxing 5 days there. The kids loved the pools and the all you you can eat buffet.

Lovely facilities. Aquilera restaurant good. But the buffet and room service food is really sub-standard sadly

Definitively the Place to be in Algarve to spend a nice & relaxing holiday with the family. Top resort hotel, with a very dedicated and nice staff.

Theres basically nothing to do. I had to spend my time at the marina and quint to de lago. Only one pool and its a hasstle to get sunbeds

Quite nice but I would definitely not say that it's 5 star. Also very far away from the marina and beach. You have to get a coach or taxi to get there. Food us also very expensive which we wouldn't mind if the quality was there also - it isn't!

I had a pleasure to photograph wedding at Hilton Vilamoura in January and I love it! The weather was amazing and the couple had an outdoor ceremony in garden.The event team at the hotel is very professional and friendly, which made the wedding even more special. I heard really great feedback from the guests and the couple itself. I look forward to my next wedding at Hilton Vilamoura in June 2018.

Kids Mocktails are amazing Pink Panther with smarties two daughters love visiting each year . Food is great and love having burger and chips next to the pool . most enjoyable place to relax

a bit far from town, there is a shuttle bus. On site spa is lovely. Most suited for golf players.

Here in Feb. Get good rate deals and place not that busy. 5 min from marina. Lots of facilities here but not everything open as low season

Amazing start to finish, got here got upgraded room free with a pool view, breakfast was fantastic, staff are amazing really look after you soo friendly worth every penny and i wish i was here longer!

Great hotel. Recently had a wedding on the beautiful gardens. Everything went very well. The staff very friendly and helpful. And the food was simply amazing, probably the best steak I've ever eaten! (and I've eaten a few...) The experience was great overall, you can tell you're in Portugal.

Too packed and very overpriced. Expected too q for a table when the resturant and buffet were empty.

My husband and I, with our 9 month old son, stayed in a room we upgraded with a double balcony and separate living area. The staff were kind enough to place a cot in the room for the baby before we arrived.

The room, sheets and towels were clean and the room spacious. However the side tables in our rom were only wiped a few times during our stay (I know this because the powdered baby milk was not wiped off). In addition, the outdoor table and balcony were filthy and not cleaned once while we were there, despite me calling house keeping and requesting somebody come up to the room and mop the balcony as our son who had been crawling around had become so dirty his swimming trunks had turned black! (The balcony was bricked and allowed our son the freedom to crawl around). This was disappointing as we couldn't use the outdoor space when our son was wake, for the fear of him getting filthy again.

Overall the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant in the hotel was great, they had a different selection every night and the chef was really lovely.

The spa facilities were exceptional. I had a number of treatments which were wonderful and the therapists were friendly and knowledgeable.

The hotel had a great swimming pool and an adults only pool. The bar staff were friendly and made lovely drinks.

The hotel also had a shuttle to the beach and to town, which was useful although we enjoyed walking there and back, which took about 35 minutes.

We had a lovely first holiday with baby and would recommend this hotel.

This is a great hotel!

The rooms are awesome; they are big, our terrace is amazing, and the views are great. The staff is super friendly, and really go the extra mile for any request.

Cons:
I list these knowing they are nitpicky, but thought it could be useful for some people.

-The beds aren't very good. I travel a lot and would consider these mattresses to be slightly below average.
-The gym is small, and some of the equipment needs updating.

We had a wonderful stay the daily breakfast was delicious.

A true resort in the word´s real meaning. It lacks nothing: location, facilities and a warm and helpful staff. You should try it!

One of the best luxury hotels that I've ever stayed in! Rooms were extremely spacious and spotless. Food both at the restaurant and room service were beyond all expectations. We used the transportation to the beach every day, no remarks at all. Staff, Rita above all, was extra careful and helpful. Thank you!

Stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of February. Had a wonderful time as there were barely people there, still the whole place was fully operational. What surprised me was that there were tea and coffee facilities. Rooms were spacious and the breakfast was tasty. Hope I have time to visit again soon.
