This is better than the village suites hotel indeed. I love it here. Amanda at the front desk is AMAZING. She is a gem. The rooms are clean beautiful and fresh. No harsh smells like there was in the village suites hotel and the carpet is clean. I love it here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rooms were clean. Service was good. The breakfast was adequate (the "made to order" omelets are a good idea, if it's not too crowded). My room view was disappointing, but that was due to the room location. I was fairly satisfied and would return, if given the chance.

The rooms are very nice & clean and the beds are AMAZING! Everything smells clean & fresh, the breakfast was incredible. Omelets, breakfast potatoes, yogurt, oatmeal, bacon/sausage every day! We would absolutely recommend putting this hotel on your short list!

Nice spacious room with an impressive list of amenities available to borrow e.g. board games, white noise machine, laundry basket, blender, curling iron, flat iron, etc. Impressive breakfast selection included an omelette bar (bit of a wait because it was popular), scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, pancakes, fresh fruit, donuts, cereal, toast, yogurt ... the list goes on. As a tea drinker I was pleased with the selection of teas and sweeteners. Nicole was at the front desk for check-in and she was an absolute delight.

Unlike some other hotels I recently stayed at, this hotel has extensive pool hours from 6am - 10pm, and the pool was well stocked with towels. Breakfast on weekdays is 6:30am - 9am, weekends 7-10 am, and check out time is noon.

I'd recommend the Hyatt House Shelton to everyone! Beautiful, well kept hotel with an extremely helpful and nice staff! The pool and gym were always clean and well maintained and never short of any towels. The free breakfast in the mornings were always delicious and very well organized. The rooms were spacious and had everything you needed from cups, to dishwasher to a toaster! The amount of free parking was great as well. I will definitely be visiting the Hyatt House in Shelton again!

Really nice 3-star category hotel. Definitely one of the nicer hotels in Shelton. The rooms are bigger, nicer and most importantly quiet. If you can get one of the studio suites on the fourth floor that overlooks the back, it will be one of the quietest rooms. Rates are very fair and comparable to other hotels in the area. Free parking and free breakfast as well.

Amazing hotel but horrible front desk service from Pat he didn’t listen to what we needed. He was to fast and hung the phone up on me. Called again to towels he was fast again and had an attitude.

Very busy, they could probably use extra help in the hotel. But otherwise our stay was nice. Breakfast was great.

Nice business hotel. They have a good breakfast buffet and cheerful staff. Parking is easy. The beds were very comfortable. Not much to walk too from this location but there are two restaurants sharing the same location.

Looks very nice inside and has bar with pool and gym. The beds are nice but the pillows are bit small. The breakfast is all right but has a good selection.

Received a call while we were on the way to the hotel. Nicole from the front desk said an HVAC unit had faulted in our room and offered to have Hyatt pay for a comparable room in a hotel down the street. We got a free stay and outstanding customer service. Thanks Nicole!

Clean rooms, pleasant and helpful staff if you are new to the area. Breakfast fair. Gold options, but cold stiff oatmeal, scrambled eggs and strong coffee.

Nice hotel. Clean rooms , friendly personal, it was a small gift waiting for us at the check in- that was very nice from the management. The breakfast was very disappointing - not many choice s and not enough for all guests. Bar and restaurant close at 10 pm. and all restaurants in the area close at 10 pm too. . only a diner works late , so just be sure that you will arrive before that. But overall a good place to spend the night, nice pool too a lot of kids and family s enjoying it.

Great value in terms of huge rooms and beds. Quick and convenient check-in/check-out. The breakfast is very basic like many American hotels of this type, with the centerpiece being egg and bacon and not a lot of healthy options.

Rooms are fantastic, one of the absolute best I've been in and the breakfast is adequate but there is a small bar with a small selection and an even smaller menu for the size of their seating arrangement at hand. That would put this place at the next tier.

It was a foggy night and we didn't feel safe to drive. Location was a bit of beaten track but the suite was large and clean. Staff was nice and breakfast spread was great. Awesome rate for a king suite too.

Great last minute place. I was impressed when seeing the room. An bathroom upgrade will really make this hotel a 5*. Walk in showers are more popular than bathtubs.

Won't stay here again. We are frequently in the area to visit family and generally enjoy Hyatt properties. This trip was horrible at the Hyatt House. One night bed was made, room not cleaned. Called for towels and clean up upon returning to the room in the evening - they never came. Second night room was not cleaned AT ALL. Three trips to the front desk and finally got towels and two glasses. The bathroom in the pool area was disgusting. The breakfast was bad. They advertise made to order omelets, but our last 3 visits the omelet station has been "broken." They offer no substitution for the extra special breakfast you are paying for. There are numerous hotels on this stretch of road, all of which are better than what we experienced.

Fantastic place for extended stays and in general. Communal and cozy. Quite modern and efficient use of space, floors, and guest services. Eco and pet friendly.

Easy checking. Sumptuous rooms with full kitchens--nice surprise. Breakfast only fair. :-( But it was free. Covered parking a plus in snowy weather.

Wife slipped in bath tub and onto floor. Fortunately no injury. Had bath mat delivered to room. Recommend bath mats be available in each room. Also recommend grab bar installed like some hotels. There are a lot of baby boomers travelling the country.

This place was great. Really nice room and the bed was so comfortable. I didn't want to leave. The buffet breakfast was good and they even had an omelet station where you could pick your ingredients and have it made fresh for you while you wait. No other hotel I've been to does that. They've made me a fan for life!

Stayed here for a wedding. It was such a clean and well maintained hotel that I will definitely be staying here again. To top it off, the price point was perfect!

The lobby is beautiful. The rooms nothing special just a typical hotel room. But I liked the color scheme of the room. Headboard was nice. When I first came the receptionist was on the phone and my bf and I was just standing there then eventually we sat and waited until he was finished. Then came to the room. And found what looked like pubic hair on the bed. Called the front desk twice it was busy. So my bf and I ventured downstairs to the lobby to speak to reception in person. Greeted by a nice lady and changed rooms immediately then called shortly for to see if room was ok. The sink turned out to be leaky and ended up trickling on the floor and wet up the boxed tissues. Not too much of a issue... I guess. But it's safe to say I won't EVER be coming back here. And we had the most uncomfortable experience at Chili's which is located directed across from the hotel. But the waiter Dillon was wonderful. I really hate sometimes how people are quick to throw out racism allegations but for the 1st time in my life I actually felt unwanted. Not just from the staff from the visitors in both establishments. 😢

Fantastic. Stayed for over a week. All staff is friendly, helpful, and simply wonderful. Not one thing I could complain about. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who is thinking of staying in the area. We will be back as our family is in the area. The friendliness must be constagious as all the guests we met said the same thing about staying there and they were just as nice and friendly. Our stay was the best ever and we come up to CT every year. Great amenities. Everything is around you. Bravo to the Hyatt House!!! See you soon.

Great place. Clean, neat, quiet. The staffing was excellent. The breakfast was great. Cook to order omelettes , eggs, bagels, waffles, hash browns and more. If the hotel was not newly renovated it looks like it or the upkeep is outstanding.

Very comfortable hotel at a reasonable rate for the area. Includes breakfast buffet and eggs made to order. Plenty of parking, and chain restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Omg! I didn't want to leave. The beds were so comfortable, the rooms were spotless, breakfast was amazing (fresh omlets, pancakes, French toast, eggs, hash browns, donuts, cakes, cereal, fruit juice, coffee, milk) etc., the pool & jacuzzi was clean, they had fresh baked cookies every evening, the staff was very friendly, quiet stay & the hotel was in a great area. The things I didn't like was my room key randomly stopped working throughout my stay I kept getting new keys for the 3 days I stayed. The underground parking deck was spooky, the parking spaces were very narrow & there were birds flying around & I'm terrified of birds & the main parking lot was always full after 9pm so you either had to park in the parking deck or Chili's parking lot. They also kept running out of clean towels. Other than that I would recommend this Hotel & I will be visiting again soon.

I only stayed for one night, but it was very nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and responded to our requests in a very timely manner. The breakfast was also delicious with a nice selection. If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely stay there again.

Room was over booked, lots of hair in room I was reassigned. People were nice and location was convenient. I would stay here again hoping to have a better experience. Other then what was mentioned above, I had no other issues.

The location is nice and easy to get to. The rooms are clean and very appealing, visually-speaking. The one downside to this hotel is the inability to stream; how is this possible in today's world? Whenever I tried to use Netflix, or other programs like it, I was constantly kicked off the hotel's internet. We called the manager to inquire about this and they told us that it's something their IT Department looks for and ends whenever they see it happening. Not entirely sure why. But it was thoroughly irritating.

When we got to the room the trash in the bathroom hadn't been emptied. The rest of the room looked clean but I couldn't stop think, if they missed that what else did they miss. Everybody was super friendly and the breakfast was set up great.

I have been to this hotel a number of times. I've always been here on pleasure. I have never been disappointed. The hotel is well run with free breakfast every day, updated rooms, wifi in every room, indoor pool and hot tub, and a very courteous staff. Every room has a microwave oven and refrigerator. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Beautiful hotel with large, quiet rooms and great service. The indoor parking garage is great when there is cold weather. There is also an indoor heated pool, business center and fitness center.

Room was clean in addition hotel staff was friendly. Breakfast included the usual plus an omelette bar. Nothing to write home about, but at least it was something to eat. Convenient location close to shopping. No complaints.

Rooms were great, and the staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms had a full-sized refrigerator , which was nice.

Only complaint: breakfast. We stayed 3 days and ate breakfast each day. The quality of the food was generally fine, but the breakfast buffet was almost never adequately stocked. At most times, something was missing, be it plates, napkins, silverware, eggs, pancakes, juices, coffee milk, or potatoes (these are ones I actually remember). Because it was under stocked, the wait for an omelet was considerable. Further, no one was wiping tables between people using them, so we had to clean our tables of crumbs, syrup, and such.

Okay hotel. The first night and morning were fantastic! Then it kind of went downhill. No coffee at breakfast, finally brought some 30 minutes later. And no eggs - just sausage and breads/cereals, until they finally brought eggs out like 30 minutes later. Staff didn't seem too concerned when I mentioned the eggs/coffee. Toilet ran water the whole time.

Beautiful rooms with tasteful modern furnishings. The front desk staff, Pat was extremely nice and helpful . This is also a great place to take your dog because there is a large yard in the back.

Location is great, very close to the highway that leads up to Boston or down to New York. There is also a lot of restaurants and shopping nearby so it is very convenient. ShopRite is also next door. Very good location.

The rooms appear newly renovated, and was quite spacious, much bigger than expected. Notice with Hyatt they are going with the granite tables and counters which is very nice. Comfy bed.

Hyatt place and Hyatt house all have complementary hot breakfasts. However, not sure why this location only has breakfast go to 9am. I am more used to breakfast till 10am or 10:30am. This is the only downside of this location, but won't affect you if you are an early riser, or are traveling for work.

Parking is free and abundant. Overall highly recommend this hotel due to location, room cleanliness and decor, and breakfast.

Very nice hotel!! Checking in was quick & easy. Super clean rooms!! The bed was really comfortable. Wish I could take the comforter home with me. The pillows unfortunately were so thick that it hurt my neck too much to use them. The continental breakfast was fantastic - pancakes/French toast, one lets made to order, cereals, pastries-plenty to choose from. The pool & hot tub are quite nice as well. I would absolutely stay here again!

I STAYED AT THIS HOTEL FOR A WEEKEND GETAWAY. THIS HOTEL WAS SO AMAZING. THEY DESERVE 5 STARS FOR THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CLEANLINESS. UPON ARRIVAL I WAS GREETED BY AARON MILLER HE WAS GREAT WITH WELCOMING ME INTO THE HOTEL AND LETTING ME KNOW ABOUT THE HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS. THE ROOM THAT I CHOSE ONLINE WAS NOT THE ONE THAT I THOUGHT I PICKED SO HE UPGRADED ME TO THE ROOM THAT I ORIGINALLY CHOSE, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

THE ROOM I HAD, CAME WITH AN AWESOME FULL KITCHEN. ( DISHWASHER, POTS, PANS, PLATES, UTENSILS, CUPS, GLASSES,ETC, AND A FULL SIZE FRIDGE... NOT THE MINI BABY FRIDGE YOU SEE IN MOST HOTELS) THERE WAS A KING SIZE BED WITH THE MOST PLUSH PILLOWS, AND THE SOFTEST SHEETS AND BLANKETS. THE LIVING ROOM SPACE IN MY ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE WITH FLAT SCREEN TV. BATHROOM WAS BIG AND THERE WAS GREAT CLOSET SPACE IN THE ROOM.

DOWNSTAIRS HAD A POOL TABLE WHICH WAS FREE MOST OF THE TIME SO YOU NEVER HAD TO WAIT ON LINE TO PLAY. THE POOL AND HOT TUB WAS A DECENT SIZE AND NEVER CROWDED. THE BREAKFAST AREA WAS WAY BETTER THAN I EXPECTED. NORMALLY CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST IS WAFFLES AND COLD CEREAL, THIS CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST HAD THE WORKS... COLD/HOT CEREAL ALL SORTS OF PASTRIES, DIFFERENT ASSORTMENTS OF BREADS, SCRAMBLED EGGS, SAUSAGES, HAM, PANCAKES, FRENCH TOAST, POTATOES, ETC... THERE WAS EVEN STAFF ON BOARD THAT MADE OMELETS FRESH TO ORDER. WITH WHATEVER YOU WANTED IN IT. YOU MADE THE ORDER AND THEY CALLED YOU WHEN IT WAS READY. I HAD ALSO DECIDED TO BRING MY OWN TEA BECAUSE MOST HOTELS ONLY CARRY LIPTON... THIS HOTEL CARRIES A GREAT ASSORTMENT OF THE TAZO BRAND COLLECTION. WHICH AGAIN TO ME WAS VERY AMAZING.

IN THE NIGHT TIME, THE FRONT DESK PERSON ON DUTY WAS ERVIN SIMMON. HE WAS VERY PLEASANT AND FRIENDLY WHILE I DID MINI SHOPPING IN THE STORE IN THE LOBBY. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT WHAT TIME I SHOULD CHECK OUT, HE OFFERED ME A LATE CHECK OUT AT 2PM NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

OK ANYWAYS LET ME STOP RAMBLING... LONG STORY SHORT. JOSUE FLEURIMOND AND CAROLYN RAFFINGTON WERE AT CHECKOUT IN THE MORNING AND THEY WERE BOTH PLEASANT PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH. OVERALL THIS HOTEL IS SUPER CLEAN (SPOTLESS) AND AMAZING AND I KNOW ITS DEFIANTLY BECAUSE OF THE AWESOME STAFF THAT THEY HAVE WORKING HERE... I WOULD DEFIANTLY COME AGAIN AND I ALREADY RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE TO MANY PEOPLE. (forgive and spelling errors) :)
