We stayed just a couple nights as we were passing through to another country and didn’t want to be right in Amsterdam. We go to the centre and go back to the burbs. We had a car but took the tram cause it’s fun! Easy to get to centre too simple! The breakfast here was amazing ! So delicious! Like I am so serious! The breakfast is just to die for!! Fresh OJ tasty so tasty. But pricey! Hey if you can afford if just indulge!

The dining was simply amazing. Although the prices are a little steep it was worth every single penny. The dishes looked good and tasted great. The service was sublime as well. All food was brought to the table at the same time and the waiters were friendly and talkative. Although I did not spend the night here I can say with certainty the service is up to the same standard as professionalism is highly valued at Van Der Valk Hotel.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. The room was nicely appointed, comfortable, and had a window wall. The bathtub was gloriously large, and a jacuzzi, and had a separate rain shower. The breakfast buffet was well done, with a large number of options.

Good clean modern hotel but about 30 - 40 minutes from Amsterdam centre

New and beautiful hotel. Nice view on country side, balcony on the 6th floor is accessible from the room, high ceilings, beautiful fitness room, pool and 2 saunas (dry and steam).
Restaurant is on the first floor, casino is in a basement, supermarket 15 min away from the hotel.
Recommended.

Van der Valk Hotel has a big restaurant. You can also sit outside with nice weather. I have been there twice with my family for dinner. You can also go there for lunch. High chairs are available upon request.The variety of the menu is ok and the food is ok too. They seem to change their menu every now and then so it won't get boring if you go there often. You have a lot of space which is good especially if you have kids or go with a big group. Personnel is patient and friendly. Hotel is pretty. You can sit in te lobby where they have nice couches and they have a bar next to it. I would definitely recommend this hotel restaurant!

Really nice place but not close to city center, of course as a addon you have access to a casino next to it so thats nice too.

The location is very far from the Amsterdam city by bus it takes about 35+ minutes. It was difficult getting here from the airport the only way was taking a taxi. It does have a beautiful town giving the hotel a beautiful view from the window. It is located approximately 15 mins away but their aren't many sidewalks and going through the grass is difficult. If you can drive than you should be fine because it's only about 15 mins from Amsterdam and about 15 mins from the airport. The rooms are perfect, spacious and luxurious. The gym, pool, Sauna and steam room are perfect making it worth staying here. After a lot of walking it's good to relax. The service was professional at the front desk, but I've noticed the workers don't say anything when you walk by... they seem snobbish. My friend and I went out for the day and when I came back my makeup case was flipped upside down. I wouldn't see the reason to flip it because it was not in the way of anything, that makes me feel uncomfortable. I honestly don't think I would stay here again.

Good hotel, especially if you have a car. Short drive to NSDM Werf and enjoyable ferry to Centraal Station within 15 mins. Much more cost effective than staying in Central Amsterdam at a quality hotel.

Its really strange hotel,on the one hand it looks like 5 stars hotel, but on the other hand there is no bathrobe, sleepers, toothbrash etc in the room.

Marvelous Hotel and restaurant. Close to Amsterdam

The building is quite nice, but there are still a lot of things broken/missing and the staff really need to take better care of the building and their customers.

They have great food and an excellent bar.
The meat is stunning and the vegetables are marvelous

While it is a short drive from the city centre, for the price the hotel was far swankier than we were expecting! Lots of very fancy art etc. Lovely log fire near the bar to have one bottle of prosseco too many next too. The rooms are very spacious, big smart TV at the bottom of the bed (win). Very nice big shower with two settings, easy to find the perfect temperature and very difficult to leave. They also do those little travel soaps and shower gels with extra to nab home. No complaints, great service all round.
