We gave 69€ for a family room (2 * double bed), incl. breakfast. Didn't expect much, but it was a nice, modern hotel. And the breakfast was fine.

Ein schönes Hotel mit netten Mitarbeitern. Sehr hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Das Hotel wirkt sauber. Die Sauberkeit der Toiletten sind sehr zu loben.

Kleine Zimmer, ordentlich und modern eingerichtet. Gutes, übersichtliches Frühstücksbuffet.

Zimmer sind sehr schön, aber wie normal Recht klein. Bad sehr sauber, leider teilweise Müll von vor Gast. Frühstück war sehr gut, aber wenig Auswahl.

Relativ unmodern, kein Wasser auf dem Zimmer. Ansonsten okay. Frühstück ausreichend aber in Ordnung

Really quiet and quaint. Free breakfast and wifi. Only issues are no iron in the room and the AC unit was dripping condensate if left on to long.

Also, don't pay for parking. There is plenty of free parking in the surrounding 1 block radius.

Nice staff, good experience and reasonable. No significant entertainment or services and leisure available. No food at night. Breakfast is decent.

Good for sleep in a short period

Stayed at the hotel from 14 April to the 21st.Property. Is centrally located at Essen with proximity to malls and transport.Was supposedly given an upgrade to the individual apartments housed on the 4th floor .Rooms were very spacious but came up short when it came to general house keeping.The wardrobes were malfunctioning despite attempts to set it right,bad net connectivity and irregular flow of cold and hot water during the shower which resulted in getting the room shifted to the main hotel complex on the fifth day. Breakfast was a good spread and typically continental with an assortment of breads and juices. The employees were polite and quite warm.Probably a high chance of coming back despite the initial hiccups.Mr.Karim who works for the front office kept us in good spirits with his friendly banter.

Always a good hotel where to stay. Clean. Staff ok. Continental Breakfast good and various.

Stayed there a couple of times with the kids on our way to Paris.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room wasn't terrible. Breakfast was enough to get the day going.

I was in Germany for conference and I booked this hotel and overall my trip was nice and comfortable.

They have great views in front of hotel, which is having Mapple tree which I loved most.

Affordable place, rooms are old and apparently need renovation however utilities are well maintained, breakfast can be a bit improved especially coffee machines

I was in town for the Essen Spiel 2017 convention with my girlfriend and another couple that we're friends with. The 4 of us shared a room together. Altogether, the hotel met our needs very well. Pros: 1) Very good location. Short walk to the Limbecker Platz shopping center and the Berlinerplatz stop on Essen's public transit system, which is a short ride to Essen Hbf. 2) Adjustable-height shower head, which can be raised to at least about 2 meters (78.74 inches). 3) At the complimentary continental breakfast buffet, they provided vegan margarine, and while non-dairy milk was not provided, when I requested it, they were happy to bring me some in a carafe from the kitchen. Cons: 1) When we first got to our room after checking in, we found that one hand towel in the bathroom was clearly used and dirty from a previous guest. The rest of the towels and room seemed fine, and the housekeeping staff has not repeated the mistake when changing our towels each day. 2) The room has no mini-refrigerator, and when we requested one, they said that they don't provide them. All in all, I would be happy to stay here again, although I very much wish they would provide a refrigerator, even if only optionally for an extra cost.

Near IKEA, also not too far from city centre, you can walk or take the subway.

Friendly staff. Rooms are fine for the express brand. We slept 3 easily with the sofa bed. Breakfast is typically German (no complaints), but if you're expecting scrambled eggs and such then you'll be disappointed.
Parking, if you have to use the attached parking garage. However, parking in the street is mostly free if you can find a space.

Nice and cozy. Staff is quite supportive. Best part is you get a free drink if you skip cleaning.

Nice hotel. Good for staying overnight. We were staying there for 1 night with 4 persons. The room is a bit small when staying there with 4. Breakfast was good.

Zimmer sehr klein für eine Familie von 4 Personen, unbequeme Betten, sauberes Zimmer, nette Gestaltung. Bad einwandfrei.

Frühstück: Auswahl in Ordnung, aber zu wenig Auswahl für Veganer. Mandelmilch ist schmackhafter als Soyamilch. Größe der Brötchen lässt zu wünschen übrig.

Personal ist freundlich, Anlage gepflegt und modern.

Fazit: Preis und Leistung stimmen nicht wirklich über ein. Erneuter Besuch möglich.

Zimmer ganz nett, Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Möglichkeit auch Abends etwas im Haus essen zu können fehlte mir. sehr gute Lage.

Immer wieder gern. Top Zimmer, klasse Ausstattung, freundliche und hilfsbereiter Service, Frühstück vorbildlich, Lage top gewählt. Tipp 200 m rückseitig um die Ecke MONGO (Mongolisches Restaurant) auch einen Besuch wert.
