We came here on a family vacation. My first impressions were similar to my visit at a Holiday inn stay. Very simple, small rooms, small bathrooms, and finally an updated flat screen television. A couple things that I disliked was the dirty carpet and their squeaky mattresses. Overall, our stay here was relaxing and convenient. I don't think we will be returning to this particular hotel. Although, I think it was cheap and located close to several restaurants and other attractions.

Decent rooms. Pool is nice too. Fitness center is lacking in equipment, size, and cleanliness. Hallways have old, dated, stained, and peeling wallpaper. Room AC unit won't work properly so it was way too hot for our comfort. The staff was nice. I'd probably not stay there again.

Decent hotel and somewhat difficult to rate. First of all, the bed was great and the staff was friendly/helpful. They handled a bizarre person checking-in in front of me gracefully. The hotel is somewhat isolated with not much to do around the hotel, but the room cost are a little lower which makes it very affordable. The rooms are very dated but comfortable and roomy. On the downside, staffing at the front desk is limited at times, my room was not clean although I talked to housekeeping outside my room, and the restaurant is not open for lunch or dinner. You can order at the bar but may take a while. Myself and another group wanted coffee or tea at 11 a.m. and there was none in the hotel. If you have a west-facing room the larger front Hotel lights are very bright. Make sure you close the curtains tightly. Another plus is the shuttle runs to the Mall of America and every hour to the airport. No complaints there. Overall, an OK experience minus a couple items.

Room was spectacular... Very impressed with how big the room really was compared to the pictures. Pool was very nice. Front desk staff was nice and courteous. Front desk supervisor was helpful. Room was very clean. Overall, I would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Nice clean updated facility. Great staff, very helpful. Would have been nice to have microwave in room. Food was cold by the time I got to the other end of building on 5th floor.

My wife and I stayed here a few years ago and really enjoyed it. This time, not so much. The rooms weren't very clean, stains on carpets, and you could feel the springs in the mattresses. On a positive note, the staff was friendly.

Pretty okay hotel. Good water pressure in the sink and showers, good air conditioning, comfy beds. Pretty good location, but slightly hard to find. It's off the main road. Ran out of hot water the third night, not very many outlets in the room (had to unplug the clock and a lamp), and the cleaning staff vacuumed at 7 am one morning, making it hard to sleep in. The A/C was way too loud so I couldn't have it on at night.

Good hotel, good price. Clean and fresh rooms. A little dated but very well kept for its age.

The hotel is pretty nice and the rooms are a decent size. The bed is very comfortable and it is quiet. The breakfast in the morning is very good, but can be costly without a coupon. There isn't a lot in the area for food, but the hotel shuttle can take you many places including the mall of america.

This place is great. I read reviews that were slightly negative and as far as my experience goes, they are unfounded. My room is a nice size and clean. It's a little dated, but in an antique, historical way... Kind of amazing it's been there as long as it has. All the staff I have encountered have been very kind and accommodating. There is a hot tub, which I think is a necessity and my room even smelled nice when I walked in. Great experience. I will definitely stay here again.

I love this hotel! We take a trip to Minneapolis almost every year and since we discovered this Park Plaza we don't stay anywhere else. It's centrally located so it only takes a little bit to get where you want to go. The staff is fantastic and always willing to get you what you need. The breakfast is worth the $10 and the service is great. I love this hotel.

Very outdated. Wallpaper is peeling, stained, and poorly patched in halls and rooms. Carpet was filthy and loose with ripples. Bed skirt was badly torn. Beds were ok. Lobby and first floor common areas were updated and nice. Pool and hot tub were great. Definitely not a the plus star hotel.

It is impressive pulling in at night to the lighting outside the hotel. The lobby is cozy and reception was friendly. Though upon exiting the elevator the hallways showed the age of the building decor, yet the rooms were nice! I would return!

Nothing wrong with this hotel at all. It's close to the airport and Mall of America, easy access, rooms are fine for what you're paying. The hotel is nonsmoking but obviously hasn't always been, as my room smelled pretty strongly of smoke. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I was there for a professional networking event and from my point of view it was very well managed. The staff was friendly as well. I'd highly recommend this location for professional meetings/workshops.

My stay in Park Plaza Hotel was great! I had a late night flight and needed a place to stay. I used hotwire to find this hotel. They offer free shuttle from msp to hotle until 1am. It took about 15 minutes from the airport to hotel. Check in was super fast and staff was nice. The elevator looks old but it functions. The hall was super quiet. Perfect for tired travelers to rest. I really liked the arrangement of the room. bed was cozy and clean. The heater/air conditioner is bit noisy but I had no trouble falling asleep. Breakfast was not included in the payment. They have breakfast buffet for about$10. There is Perkins in close distance which I chose over the hotel breakfast. Overall my stay in Park Plaza Hotel is satisfied

Ripe for some serious updating. You get what you pay for. Staff is very nice.

Ice machines were a little hard to find. Elevator was scary. Completely stopped and didnt open the door without pressing our floor button again, which then proceeded to show level 5 when we were on level 4.

We regularly stay at this hotel for a few reasons. Rooms are well kept, clean and updated. The bar is comfortable and reasonably priced.

Well first time I stayed there it was quite nice. However, over the years it has aged. Beds are uncomfortable and make you want to make your stay short. Damage here and there. Never have seen enough staff on and when I have I always have to wait for them to stop their personal conversations to check in or get any sort of help. Part of the parking lot is often flooded. Only saving grace is it's vicinity to the Double Tree where conferences are help.

Location is good. The size and big comfy bed was good. But I have found some issues that I didn't agree with. The free wi fi connection wasn't very good, the building is pet friendly but didn't know until upon arrival it cost extra. It is outdated a little especially when it comes to the old elevators. I also didnt not like how I had to search for the guest services book in my hotel and wasnt in plain sight it was hidden. If paying under 100 a night this hotel is a deal but I have definetly been to better

Very good value! A great place to stay when visiting Minneapolis to avoid overpaying for a hotel downtown. We saved a lot of money by staying here and using the Metro to get into the city, which was very easy and convenient from the Mall of America. As for the hotel itself, it was clean and the staff we interacting with were friendly. The furniture was a little bit old and dinged up but really nothing major.

Location is good, just a short 20 minute drive to US Bank Stadium. We had a room on the 8th floor, which was spacious and had a very comfortable king bed. The shower head sucked, but that is a very minor thing. Service was great, we were allowed to check out one hour later, which was helpful since our flight home didn't leave until 8pm.

The beds were super comfy. Room was very clean. But thought it was dumb that there is no continental breakfast. After you pay almost $300 for your room(s) you still have to pay $10.95 to have break. That's bullshit.. Won't be staying here ever again.
