Affordable place, great for a last minute stay, seemed clean if what somewhat older facilities.

Pleasantly surprised! The gentleman that checked me in at midnight let at me borrow a phone charger, way cool and needed! Just the basics here but all was just enough to make this a pleasant surprise.

A small motel off the beaten path. Was clean and the price was cheap. The owners were very nice. Will visit again when in town.

As remarked by others, this motel is 'modest' mostly because it's from a couple of decades ago in design ... roadside motor hotel with no or few amenities beyond a vending ice machine, beverage machine, air conditioning (not quiet window unit) and TV large flat-screen connected to cable but with few "authorized" channels. Trash emptied daily, fresh towels daily. However, aside from the bathroom floor, the accommodation is clean and neat with a tremendously huge bed with a mattress of that new "jump here and it won't move there" material. Too soft for me ... personal choice. Mostly fresh paint all over. Plenty of parking on blacktopped lot. The shower water is hot and the neighboring rooms quiet. No disturbances. You get what you pay for ... the rate for this motel is good for what is provided and beats by far the fancier palace prices of newer towers in Gettysburg proper or nearby. Red Carpet is affordable and should fit anyone's budget. It's a place to rest, recover, sleep, bathe, and go touring from, not reside in. Gettysburg downtown is four miles north, a quick hop by car. The Battlefield and attractions closer by a mile. I'm a senior and not fussy and compared to some past experiences, even at the higher end hotels, Red Carpet here in Gettysburg is all I required to enjoy a week touring the Battlefield and area. The rooms have refrigerators with shoebox-sized freezers and a microwave, so you can provide yourself with food while there as well, there are convenience stores and a market in Gettysburg. I enjoyed it and though I had contact with staff only at check-in, they were pleasant. I'd recommend this motel to anyone so long as they're not expecting The Borgata in Atlantic City or The Ritz-Carlton. For the non-fusspots among us this place is just right and leaves you with enough funds to enjoy the local attractions and maybe buy some souvenirs.

Old, outdated, stinky, dirty. You get the picture. Unless you're really hard up on cash, spend a little more and head on down the road somewhere.

Great room for the right price. Woman in the office was polite and gave me some info on local places to eat.

Our room was fine, but did have the smell of carpet freshener. The staff was very nice. Good location to the battle field. Very quite as compared to the hotels in town. If you are looking to do Gettysburg on a budget this is the place. For the smokers, they do offer a smoking room. Which we liked.I think its the only place that does.I would stay there again.

It doesn't look the best outside but inside is awesome.

I called the night before my arrival in hopes for a room for the reenactment. I was shocked to get a room , and was pleasantly surprised how nice the older motel was, and the low cost for such a big weekend...with no minimal night stay!
I really don't understand what people expect sometimes when they review Motels, when they obviously require 5 star Hotels.
The owners could not have been more accommodating! I visit Gettysburg several times a year, and normally to prefer to stay within walking distance of the battlefield in the town area, but this is a great place if you are looking to get a break from the shopping, tourist area.

Clean, comfortable motel with everything that you need. Also, very close to the Gettysburg battle site and museums. Would highly recommend!

Stayed 2 days, 2 nights. Room #4 with a king size, firm bed was clean. Nothing off the hook or overly fancy, but it suited our needs. Management was very receptive to our requests. The website quoted coffee and donuts for their breakfast. None were readily available on our first morning. The manager ensured me that they would be available the following morning, and they were. Word to the wise, if you want coffee and doughnuts tell the manager prior to the morning. The toilet was a low sitting model and required some skill to effectively land into position compared to a standard height toilet. All in all, a good value for amount paid. In the country, peaceful, saw a young doe deer meandering across the road on our second day. There was minimum traffic compared to other lodging nearer to the battlefield monuments and visitor centers. Easy assess to Highway 15.

It's a good cheap motel.

I stayed at the Red Carpet Inn for two days on October 20 and 21, leaving yesterday morning, and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The inn is very clean and comfortable and the atmosphere is peaceful. The owners are helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend this motor inn to anyone looking to stay only a short hop from Gettysburg along Route 15. Thank you again to the owners for their wonderful hospitality.

Great nights sleep, clean, comfortable. Host was very hospitable and prices were very reasonable. I will return often.

Rooms are nice but a bit small and could use some TLC (paint, clean the AC vents, basic misc. stuff) but overall nice and a great price, also great location to the battlefield. I'd come back!

Edit: Gave an extra star for the cleanliness of the rooms and the fact that their house keeping is on the spot. Fresh towels daily and clean linen. Great work!

The service was great. Friendly staff that was very helpful. Beds were clean and fairly comfortable. Room was small and the A/C was loud. Location couldn't have been better; just a quick drive outside Gettysburg.
