Very modern hotel. Very polite employees. Just perfect.
The bathtub and bedroom is just separate by an glaswall. But there is a curtain. The bed is not to soft not to hard, just perfect. The room also have a big flat screen. Really big room.

Great little boutique hotel with a fabulous steak restaurant. They treat the beef with respect, it's quite a shrine to steak. The specialty is steak tartare and it's really really good. Lovely modern bar and the rooms are quirky and very comfortable. Very much my favourite place to stay in Hamburg!

The spa section is just amazing. The swimming pool, the jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath are well managed and easily accessible. The rooms are neat and has a designer touch. The staff is friendly and well-behaved. It has everything what you could expect from a 5 star stay.

If you want 1st class treatment, be made to feel like a king or queen whereby everyone has got your best interests at heart, stay at this hotel!
The facilities, 5x standard, service ALWAYS with a smile, food and drinks are of the highest standard.
Why couldn't every hotel prove such exemplary service.
Will be going back again and again and again :D

Really nice rooms, and the meals incredible. The breakfast is just perfect and all the meals we did there were perfect too. The rooftop bar is really nice to drink something, and the attention from the staff was absolutely perfect, specially Katherin, who was very attentive with us. Thanks Side Hotel!

This hotel is really great, staff is superp so sweet and very helpful... we are staying at this hotel for our one year anniversary, and it's great for that. Romantic, modern and right in the middle of Hamburg. Restaurant is Great, and affordable, spa, pool and sauna is great. Fitness is okay, but if you are training for strength, not so much. But have the basics. All in all. 9/10 ... would visit again.

This is an execellent hotel. The rooms are beautifully appointed. Chic and hip. The breakfast in the morning is lacking and my only gripe. Nice rooftop and friendly staff.

Stylish and modern Design Hotel in Hamburg, a few walking minutes from the Alster. The service was great and the room was spacious, bright and comfortable. The staff also prepared a nice welcome message with a little surprise. Will come back!

I enjoyed an extended stay here while doing some training with work.
Pros: great location, nice swimming pool and sauna, hip rooms, friendly staff, clean facilities
Cons: a somewhat disappointing breakfast selection, rather uncomfortable beds (top tip - ask for the twin beds to be converted to an actual king with a love bench, that's what the lady at reception called it, and you'll get some added comfort! Disappointing that this needs to be done but otherwise very uncomfortable beds), the weirdest shower set up
I'd definitely consider staying her again due to the proximity to the office and swimming pool but it wasn't my best 5 star hotel experience.

Das side Hotel liegt zentral in Hamburg gelegen. Der Empfang ist sehr freundlich und einladend und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Wir hatten dort ein Meetingraum für eine Veranstaltung gemietet. Die Räumlichkeiten waren angenehm groß, gut belüftet und würden mit ausreichend Tageslicht versorgt. Die Technik ließ keine Wünsche offen und es war alles Notwendige vorhanden, um ein entspanntes Meeting abzuhalten. Die Zwischensnacks waren lecker, toll angerichtet und in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

great design hotel in the middle of hamburgs city center, comfortably located in a quiet side street. their smallest room category already offers great living space, very good sleeping comfort and the details of the interior design is also really nice and of high quality.

they also accomodate one of the best passionate steak restaurants, called "meatery", in the city and the staff here is more than welcoming with an excellent service attitude. actually service in this house is top notch everywhere and each member of the hotels team will make sure that you enjoy a great time on and around location. to finish your evening in style make sure to taste one of the hotel bars great drinks and let them introduce you into of their great signature drinks and spirits. and if you should tend the be more in a relaxing mood enjoy the hotels own pool and spa area.

all over all i have to say that this is one of the best value for money places i've ever been and i am looking forward to return here happily whenever i will be in hamburg. sending out my best wishes to the team at SIDE hotel and my warmest and best regards to my beloved waiter omit. if you're going for dinner at the "meatery" make sure to reserve a table in his service, he will always make sure that you will have an excellent and memorable night.

I love the location of this hotel and also the service, but I just didn't understand why my curtain is automatically went up at night. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. This would be my choice when I visit Hamburg again.

Convenient location in the town centre and rooms and staff are nice. Only downside was the cleaning staff not putting out soaps and shampoos for the second night, so I had to do without

A fantastic boutique hotel right in the heart of Hamburg. I stay there every time for business. The restaurant downstairs is awesome - try the tartare menu!

Really friendly and helpful welcome at the front desk. Room is nice, bed is comfortable, shower doesn't spray water all over the floor... toilet has a very strange design though. Food in the restaurant is good although service was very slow.

Die Zimmer entsprechen eher einem 4 Sterne Hotel, insbesondere das Badezimmer leidet unter dem Design. Die Toiletten fühlen sich nach einem Plumpsklo an, da man auf einer Art Holzbalken sitzt, unter dem sich die Toilette befindet. Bar und Frühstück sind jedoch sehr gut.

The design of my hotel room is very nice, unique and modern. It also has a futuristic feel.

I felt randomly discriminated against. I had to pay upfront, allegedly because it was my first stay at this hotel. My colleague, who also did not stay at this hotel before, was not met with such distrust. I don't think I will choose the hotel again.

Very modern and well equipped in an incredible location with great pool and spa facilities... Only downside is that it's not as clean as you would expect for 5 stars - I.e. Stained ceilings and carpets as well as other fixtures.

The location is nearly unbeatable. Within three minutes walk you are in the city center. The service is great.

The design of the rooms is not 100% my cup of tea, but what I like is, the whole hotel is one big design concept, which gives me a good and cozy feeling.

A good place to stay, especially if you want to be close to the city center and the exhibition centers.

We had an excellent stay at Side hotel. The room were really nice and contained everything we needed and more :-). We used the pool three times during our two nights stay and it was great to take a dive after a long day walking across the city.

The employees were very kind and helpful!

We must though consent to what other have mentioned...the toilet "door" cannot close and the toilet is somewhat a little strange. Also the beds were pretty hard but not an issue for me at least.

All in all we would love to visit Side hotel again.

Nice Hamburg hotel quite centrally located near Gänsemarkt.

Unfortunately, there were very annoying issues with the WiFi connection in our room which haven't been fixed during our stay. The designer furniture looks nice but design should not in my opinion interfere with functionality, which unfortunately was the case here: the sink in the bathroom is too small leading to water splashing out all over, the door separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom got stuck all the time, the controls on the shower are way overcomplicated and last but not least there is NO toilet seat (you gotta have a really good aim as a man if sharing the room with a female person). Some things you would typically expect from an upscale hotel like this were lacking in our room: tea kettle, complimentary tea/coffee/water, TV was rather smallish.

All this said, I would like to highlight the friendly staff who were always trying to help and did all they could to make our stay more enjoyable (e.g. providing us with a mattress topper since the mattress was way too firm). Can't comment on the breakfast as it wasn't included in our room rate and there are plenty of good/cheaper options around. The parking was valet parking and quite pricey at 24€/night.

Amenities are certainly not worth 5*, I would describe it as a good 4* hotel.

Absolutely faboulous. Perfect location close to the Binnenalster. Very nice hotel, nice and stylish interior and very friendly staff. Will definately recommend it and will personally book here again next time I visit the lovely city of Hamburg

most disappointing hotel experience in Hamburg. Email confirmation suggested possible upgrade subject to availability if I noted the confirmation at check-in. At check-in, it was first suggested that I should have responded to the email (not noted in email); then I was informed that the hotel was full and no upgrade was available; last, an upgrade was offered for purchase. That an upgrade was not available is certainly understandable. The three separate responses to one inquiry were questionable and disappointing. Generally everything about the hotel was underwhelming, and I would neither recommend nor return. I have had much more positive experiences at le Meridien, Radison Blu, and Movenpick Hotels in the same city.

This is a very nice and relatively cheep hotel in the center of the city. It is the best breakfast I have had in a hotel of this class. It is a 4 star hotel and everything is good about it. But to be a 5 star hotel they would need to do some more work on it.
What was a little negative is that the spa facility was colder then usual and the steam room was not a steam room it was more a hot room. Probably a small adjustment that they need to do.

Overall it was a very nice hotel with great service.
