Stayed in Room 714 - outlook was inward to the carpark and other wing of the hotel. Be aware that if you don't pull your curtains at night that other people can see in through the sheers when you have your lights on. They would have been bored watching me work however! The room is well appointed, comfortable bed and linen, well stocked minibar. The room was on the cool side, which was perfect for sleeping. I stayed there in June, mid COVID times, so it was very quiet. It also meant that the restaurants and bar were closed. I have used the facilities there on previous stays and they are all great. Room service was available on this stay however, meaning I was able to get breakfast before heading to the International terminal where all the restaurants were shut. The proximity to the terminal is the jewel in the crown and the ability to checkout, cross the road, and get checked in without worrying about transport or traffic is worth the premium.

As far as hotel airports go, this place is top of the line. Smooth and quick check in, friendly staff and a stunning room. Although we were facing the airport, noise was not an issue at all. Beds and all seating were very comfortable.

Room was good. Comfortable bed.
Went to the bar downstairs, oh dear. A little pricey but that was ok. We ordered fish and chips and a piece of slice/cake. Fish and chips was good but the cake was thrust at me in a huge paper bag. No plate, no serviette. For the prices charged the slice should have been served on a plate. We weren't getting takeaway and the main meal was served on a china plate.

Beautiful hotel. Incredibly close to the airport. Matter of fact it's in front of the airport. They have a breakfast buffet and the rooms are always clean upon checking into the hotel. I always check the bedsheets for hairs and so far this place hasn't disappointed me. If you are tired from a long journey, you can be assured to get proper sleep and food here. Great place to spend the night.

Just visited the best little cafe with the friendliest staff and smoothest tastiest cappuccino I believe I have ever been lucky enough to have tasted. Actually.... Both the Cafe and Bar sitting downstairs at Rydges Sydney Airport is absolutely awesomlicious! you can't go past their coffee and awesome seafood basket for lunch! Make the effort to try it..you won't be disappointed!

Perfect hotel for plane spotters, and a great place to stay with an early international flight the next day (international departures are a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel lobby). Staff were mostly friendly and helpful (one bad experience on the phone, two good ones in person). Compared to other hotels in this price range we stayed at during our visit to Australia, the rooms were large, clean and comfortable, with great bathrooms and showers. The most enjoyable part of the stay was the view of of the runway during rush hour. One can request the airport view rooms online. Signing up for the rewards program also gives an immediate discount on the booking, which was surprisingly generous.

Check in was fast and easy, i had the room key within a few minutes of entering the hotel. The room was nice and spacious, with modern look and feel. Pretty standard for this class hotel these days. There was nice view of the airport. Check out was very easy, simply a dropbox for the room key. The most advantageous aspect being proximity to the international airport.

Our waitress Stephanie was really amazing. Without her I don't believe it would be any good. The manager, Sam, was not accommodating to us. The table we initially sat at had chairs that blocked the view of the person sitting next to each other. We asked if we would be able to swap tables or swap the chairs and same said it would not be possible to swap the chair and we would have to wait for 30 minutes for another table. The only reason we could not swap to another table was due to the being uncleared and messy. I would suggest more staff to work to aid in the clearing of the tables, the food was delicious and Stephanie was a great host.

Rydges has always had friendly staff. They are very helpful. Amenities are very good. Bar and restaurant are very competitive. The place is well kept and in a key location just metres from Sydney International airport. They have a terrace where you can watch airliners take-off or landwith a very convenient bar. Perfect for aircraft spotters!

Great place for planespotting, a tad bit expensive but still, worth the view. Got some great photos of planes i wanted to get. I've been here twice and both stays were brilliant. They do good to get rid of most of the noise so its quiet but good enough to hear the planes. Well done on making an amazing experience

Clearly refurbished rooms with slight defects but still polished enough to be a 4 star.

Staff are friendly, just didn’t know a lot of English which made checking in a little tricky!

Either way - great place to stay if you want to be right next to the international terminal - just don’t expect to be getting a 5 star experience.

Only here for a few hours courtesy of Quantas as flight delayed by 5 hours. Modern rooms which were very clean. Lovely wet room styled bathroom and bed was comfy. Unfortunately dining room did not open in time for me to eat so cannot comment on the food etc. But as airport hotels go it was very good.

The location is absolutely excellent straight across the road from the international airport and only 15 minutes from the domestic airport full stop rooms for clean and tidy. The only gripe I have is there was only half a roll of toilet paper in the room and the exhaust fan did not work in the toilet. Other than that it's great place to stay when you're travelling overseas and to and from airports excellent.

Stayed for one night with a colleague on short notice to work nearby for a day in Botany. Rooms were excellent and we were upgraded (I am a Black Card Priority Member). Receptionist was welcoming, helpful and friendly. Parking was in P7 Airport car park and easy enough to find. The rate is 50% off the Airport rate which is a great help as its quite pricey at $60 overnight but $30 is acceptable. Dinner in the Touchdown Sports Bar was good - tasty and reasonably priced. Breakfast in Blackwattle Grill is aways good and today was no exception - except fro a shortage of teaspoons and glasses for juice! Overall 10 out of 10 - you will love it here I promise!

They increase the price dramatically for a room on the weekend which annoys me. But the rooms are fine. The sportsman's bar is write expensive for drinks. They do have good food specials. They upstairs restaurant is great. The food was delicious but I felt it was a little cold in there. It is open plan and near a staircase which means you get a draft. Bring a jumper in winter. They also do a very good breakfast.

So close to International terminal, across the road literally, so convenient.
Always clean and comfy.
Good view of planes landing and taking off.
Good restaurant on-site.
Shuttle to domestic.
Easy train connect to Sydney Central.

Fantastic hotel, very good standard (nice and new) and extremely convenient for early flights and international transfers - it's right at the terminal, all you have to do is walk across the road. It overlooks the runway, so there's plenty to watch and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room service was expensive as expected but the portions were tiny - it came to over $100 just for me and my teenage son and arrived cold. We had to have room service because the restaurant was full, so book early. Overall, we had a great stay and I would definitely recommend it!

The room was as expected - Clean, Quiet and well appointed. We met friends in the bar hen went on to dinner. The range as well as the quality of the food & drink was good.

My father and I stayed at Rydges Sydney Airport recently the night before he left on an overseas trip. We were upgraded upon check in, and found our room to be quiet, comfortable and very clean. The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious meal at the breakfast buffet in the mezzanine level restaurant, and he was soon on his way with no stress, fuss or bother.

The hotel was a convenient place for us to stay to catch an 8.30 a.m. International flight. We parked in P7 took the short walk to the hotel.
The room was a good size and quiet. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. We had a meal at the Bar & Grill restaurant. The meal was excellent, the service satisfactory and the pricing not to expensive.
The hotel suited all our needs and we will stay again on our next overseas trip.

A very spacious hotel with very friendly and courteous staff. Good rooms with great view. A nice variety of items available for buffet breakfast. Includes a big gym for fitness enthusiastics. I enjoyed my stay.

Good hotel.. best part it is just 2 min walk from international airport, train station and bus stop.. so can go anywhere easily.

We have stayed here several times en route to overseas. It is convenient, comfortable, staff are very pleasant and efficient, nice restaurant. We like everything about this hotel. Loved the new bar on the roof!

Very nice and clean room with very large bed. The bed was very soft and not initially to my liking but it grew on me. Breakfast was okay, a good selection of usual breakfast food, eggs, bacon, bread, fruit and cream. The late check-out is great and easy, only requiring that the key be placed into the return box. The location is great, especially is flying internationally, just at minute walk to arrival or departure, also easy access to uber, trains and buses

Perfect location for an overnight stay before a long haul flight. New and cosy rooms. Comfortable bed and easy access to transport. Buses to Canberra depart at the doorstep. Train and city buses, taxi stand and Uber pick up area are just a few steps away.

Hotel is right across the street from the international terminal, which was convenient and walkable. Hotel rooms were nice and clean. Lights in the bathroom kept turning on and off by themselves but it was probably just a light bulb issue. Overall a great hotel.

Nice clean hotel and friendly staff. Room was nice although the bathroom decor was a bit odd, the grey tiling everywhere had a bit of a prison feel to it, especially the toilet. The shower head's support had come loose from the wall too. Other than this, the room was comfortable and the TV channels available were not lacking. Didn't try the restaurant, went to the international terminal for dinner instead. Recommended for its convenience and overall good experience on offer.

I stay here yearly on my way back to Melbourne.... It convenient for my flight the next morning.... They have one of the best showers I've ever had... But their coffee I had this morning from a machine no less was the worst ever!!! I couldn't finish it it was that bad....moreover the food in general is extremely ordinary... Really could do with a new menu and chef.... Moreover had a burger there a couple of years back.. Just plan horrible.... Plenty of room for improvement

Besides it's perfect location in the airport Rydges offers a great stay. The room was comfy and loved the view of the airport. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and well priced and the rooftop bar offered fabulous cocktails.

Perfectly positioned just across the street from the International airport with transfers available to the domestic terminal. The staff were very helpful and obliging. The rooms are large and well equipped. A great experience overall

We walked to Rydges Sydney Airport after a very long flight and were welcomed with a big smile and soon in our amazing room facing the runway. Not a sound from outside and the best beds ever. So surprised with facilities including 24 hour room service and fresh decor. It was worth every dollar.

So convenient to the airport, you are right there. Walked over to catch my flight. Check-in was very quick and easy and there was a room available for me right away even though I was early.
The room was very spacious and well appointed. I did go to both restaurants on the premises and while one was a Sports Bar (took me bit to figure out how to order) the food was good.
The evening meal was not too pleasant. The restaurant was understaffed and over crowded. Also the noise level was almost unbearable. However the food was good when it arrived at last.
I would stay at Rydges Sydney Airport again, but maybe find other dining places.

Staying at Rydges at the airport took all the stress out of arriving in time for your overseas flight. A short stroll across the road and you are there. No traffic or train hassles with the worry of unexpected delays. A chance to shower, eat, contact family and get a good rest before your flight. Restaurant was great. Staff most helpful too I will certainly be staying there for future overseas trips.

The customer service by Rydges was fantastic. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful with my requests. Overall, in all fairness, the room was well designed and adequately furnished. My only complaint is that Rydges lack the little details to the amenities which would have made it an excellent stay. Such lack of details arise from not providing toothbrush and toothpaste, no bathrobes and the lack of lighting control within the bed vicinity. So some room to improve on.

I have stayed at Rydges Sydney Airport a number of times for an overnight stay before our flight out of Sydney the next day.
It is so convenient - free transfer from domestic airport all in readiness for the overnight stay, then a walk across the road in the morning to the International airport.
The staff were very helpful and polite, guests can check in and check out on-line which alleviates any hold-ups what-so-ever.
As members we were given a voucher for a free drink and we went to the restaurant and shared a pizza as it was late when we arrived.
I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Well above average for an airport hotel. Fast, efficient check in and out. Rooms clean and well maintained. Restaurant served excellent food but was perhaps a little expensive. Similarly the sports bar which was extremely pleasant if a bit expensive. This was fine for me though given the location and convenience 50m from the Qantas domestic transfers check-in and 100m from international arrivals. Both restaurant and bar had fast and friendly service. Able to take airport trolley up to room making the multiple bags thing much less of a hassle. My room was on the runway and vehicle ramp side of the building, but there was no noise whatsoever and decent blackout curtains were fitted. Would definitely stay there again.

This is our second stay at Rydges Sydney Airport. When it comes to convenience for early morning, international flights, nothing beats it. We are put of our room and on the other side of security in 30 minutes. The rooms are clean, the rain showers are refreshing, and the staff is pleasant. Will probably stay again if the need arises.

This is an 'efficient', hotel. The room is sparse in its amenities.. and cold. We could not warm the room up. But it's directly across from the airport, so the convenience is what they are selling - not a welcoming stay.

Came here for an open day for plane spotters. Service was great and catering was professional and attentive. Will be looking at Rydges for holiday accommodation in future. Very nice!

Stayed at Rydges when leaving for overseas and returning. It is so convenient as we live 3 hours our if Sydney. We stayed facing to runway and could see the planes taking off and landing. Order pizza in room and was pretty nice.

We had a nice long dinner at the second floor grill with our grandparents before their flight. absolutely no complaints regarding the food, beautiful decoration and incredible service. if you are looking for a great value proper meal before your flight departs.. this is definetly a good option!

Planes zooming past your window as you lie in bed tired and gazing outside has to be a unique and pleasant experience. Well I had this a couple of years ago and could hardly get over the excitement of being so close to the action and the glittering lights outside. Not to mention the most comfortable bed and clean bathroom (an absolute must). So, wanted to do it again for my forthcoming overseas flight. But they quoted a much higher price this time! So now am taking the late bus from Canberra to the airport directly. Just hoping it will be a bit more reasonable on the return trip as we will get in late and will have to stay overnight in Sydney. If they quote too high again we'll have to choose a different hotel unfortunately, and just use the Airport shuttle for the bus to Canberra. But prefer Rydges big time! :)

This is a quiet and clean hotel just off the airport. There is a bus shuttle to and from the hotel that picks you up at the arrivals area at domestic... free for hotel guests. Otherwise its a brisk walk or a short taxi ride. Two eateries at the hotel.. one is like a sports bar and the other a more formal dining affair. Good place to stay if you are in transit oir (like me) attending a meeting at the airport.

Best place to stay if you have an early flight or arrive late in Sydney. Rooms are pretty good, clean, spacious etc. The hotel is in the airport around 50m from Terminal 1.

Stay if you need to shrug off some jet lag or have a crazy early flight.

All the staff at the hotel were easy to talk to and very willing to help with any query.
Although if arriving from the domestic terminal it can be a bit tricky to get to, as it is placed on the opposite side of the airport, behind the international terminal. This was in my opinion completely worth it as it provided the opportunity to watch the international arrivals and departures up until SYD curfew time.
Definitely the best choice of hotels around the airport and

Rydges Sydney Airport hotel is optimally located right across from Terminal 1 (International terminal) so you don't even need to take any shuttle bus. Clean and efficient business style hotel-and reasonably priced. Spacious room and friendly staff.

My In-Laws stayed here and they both loved the experience. The staff are accommodating especially Cyrus. We left a valuable item and it was returned to us hassle-free. Kudos to the staff's honesty. Definitely this hotel is highly recommended!

Didn't have a booking, the process to book an emergency room was quick and efficient even though it was at about 10pm. Super friendly staff. Excellent location. 10/10 would staying I require lodging while travelling through Sydney.

Free shuttle bus from airport got me to the hotel. The staff at the hotel were courteous and helpful. King room, very nice and the trip to the airport the next morning was very short... Only a 2 minute walk.

The Rydges is a modern hotel with very convenient location from the International Airport Terminal. Literally steps from the terminal. Great hotel to stay prior to my morning flight. Bed is comfy and room was clean.

Ideal location and great views of the tarmac. We liked the restaurant. We'll be back before one of our journeys sooner or later.

This was the perfect spot to stay before taking a flight for a holiday. Very comfortable and relaxing way to start the trip without the hassle of making the rushed trip to the airport, then finding a park!

We stayed here one night before catching a long flight back to the US. It was super convenient to get to the international departures terminal located across the walkway! The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. I really enjoyed the large shower with rainfall shower head as well! The room we were in also had great views out so you could watch the planes take off and land. Even though it's located in the middle of a busy airport, it was still quiet and we had no trouble sleeping. I highly recommend it if you need a nice place to stay before or after a long flight and don't want the hassle of riding in a car, bus, or train after or before a long flight! We also thought the bar and restaurant were nice.

This was my second stay with Rydges and enjoyed it as much as the first. The staff were wonderful from the front desk to the handman who fixed my tv. Food was great..A small improvement would be proper lighting in the bathroom for people putting on makeup.
Overall, wonderful stay.

The staff were very good, however for a 4.5 star hotel (and the 360 per night for a double queen room price tag) the room was tiny, aircon didn't work. We went to the restaurant and the staff were fantastic however the food was far from satisfactory. I am hoping we just caught them on a bad day. We will try them again next time we are in Sydney.

It's all about the location. I absolutely hate the shuttle service for the other hotels nearby and I love that the international terminal is just across the road. For aviation fanatics there are many rooms offering picturesque views of the runway or even if you don't get one there are open areas for you to do plane spotting. My favourite room type is the deluxe king suite which is kind of like open plan junior suite with a small partition between the sleeping and sleeping area. It used to be the executive king category which is like a proper one bedroom suite which has since change to a family suite with beds for 4 something I don't require.

The experiences from my stays have been varied greatly. Majority of it have been excellent, although I have experienced various nuances as well. Most staff are fantastic as well but there are one or two that have paled in comparison. The only reason the hotel does not get 5 stars from me is only because of PGR the loyalty program and recognition of the associated benefits and key cards not functioning properly. I am aware that certain benefits are subjected to availability, but I always enquire about that first. And without fail like clockwork I have to argue for my published benefits to be honoured. otherwise I would rate this property higher.

The best Rydges I've stayed at! Lovely modern room, across the road from the International Airport with a free Domestic Airport shuttle provided. It's awesome that the buffet breakfast starts from 4am, too! Perfect for the traveller!

Staff were on the ball, knowledgable, experienced, helpful. Room was perfect for family with immaculate clean crisp sheets, spacious bathroom and best bar fridge I've seen. So very quiet and the most convenient location right out the airport exit! Would definitely stay always on the way through Sydney....

We only had a one night stay after arriving from an overseas flight and after getting through customs by 8.pm, it was ideal to merely walk across the road from the International terminal and into the hotel. We had done a pre-check in prior to arrival and actual check in only took minutes with our room preferences met, a room with a king bed, quiet and elevated allowing an awesome view the following morning to see international flights arriving. Though we didn't this stay, next time we will definitely take time to wind down in the bar and dining facility within the hotel.
