Nice looking hotel, rooms are good as is the lobby, loses a star for £10 parking and another for £10 breakfast. The rooms are great country pub style and the beds comfortable. There is no air conditioning so grab a fan of you can and get a cooler north facing room when it's hot.

The White Horse, always iconic, has undergone a massive makeover and now offers all the charm and character it had before but now with a contemporary twist. The food is excellent, the bar is very trendy and the rooms very comfortable. This place is certainly worth a stay, especially when exploring all that Dorking has to offer

Charming property with fully upgraded rooms. Staff, bar, food, lounge were all excellent. Rooms were a bit stifling during the unexpected, prolonged heat wave

Recently refurbished so lovely. Bar and waitress staff very kind and efficient. Car park is small and even though we reserved a space we still couldn't park there, had to use a public one round the corner. No AC in the rooms, reception said that this kind of weather (26c) is a freak event in the UK, I don't agree and the rooms were very hot. Window barely opens because a security lock. Nice bar, open later than I can handle. Breakfast was good, plentiful and prompt.

Room, gorgeous. Staff, wonderful. WiFi, appalling. However, we weren't there to sit online so I've no problem with that. Only real gripe is the £10 extra to park over night. We ended up in the pubic car park round the corner. Which was free. 😊

Lovely place now, decor has recently been refurbished. But not all staff are trained fully. Also the food was not made to a very good standard.

Went here (The Dozen) with friends last Thursday - we had a travelzoo voucher (3 course meal for two for £40.00 bargain!!
Staff - of which there were a lot of - were very attentive.
Food arrived in good time allowing us to catch up with our friends.
Place has recently undergone a revamp - very contemporary, roomy and very comfortable .
For a Thursday night the restaurant was very busy.
I had planned to take photos of the food but totally forgot after the starters😀
Crab salad - only criticism would be it was very cold and this probably affected the taste.
Big chunky burger 100% beef with chunky chips.
Waffle with caramel sauce and caramelised banana - disappointed with half barely caramelised banana.
All in all a good meal and despite the above we will go back.

The Hotel is still a work in progress, but managing not to disturb the guests.
The decor is very tasteful with Comfortable bedrooms.
The staff seem to be still learning their trade and were unaware of the various deals being offered by booking agents such as Secret Escapes who offer free wine with your first meal, however they are all very pleasant and welcoming
Would recommend a visit if in the area.

I've got coeliac disease so can't eat gluten, and the waitress was very helpful and clued up as to what I could have. They had GF bread and GF beer which made me very happy! Lovely surroundings and yummy food when it came too. 😊

We enjoyed dinner and a drink in the newly opened Dozen last night. The bar is lovely and makes for a very nice option to have near home. The food was also very good although it took a very long time for a basket of bread to arrive, but this was then deducted from our bill. The only minor niggle was that some of the staff seemed more keen to chat to people drinking at the bar than serving the restaurant tables but I'm sure this is just getting in the swing of things. We would go back again, especially to the bar.

New refurb is amazing, great space and an asset for Dorkers. Terrible external signage typeface (which looks cheap) for The Dozen restaurant but everything else is spot on.

Stopped by here at random while exploring Dorking High Street. Had drinks in the bar / lounge which was quite cosy and welcoming. Great service from the bar man. Place has a very old school charm. Would definitely return.

Mostly nice atmosphere but not the cheapest and the service was slow. Maybe this was a one off bad experience but it's unlikely I all return.

Very pleasant hotel situated in Dorking High Street, about 15 minutes walk from the railway station. Hotel is full of old world character. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Shower was good, but bathrooms could do with being updated. Breakfast was freshly cooked and has fruits, cereal, full English, and continental offerings. The bar/lounge area is lovely to sit in and pass the hours with a drink or two.

Nice hotel along the main road, within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and bars. I'd recommend not eating at the hotel restaurant but heading out to some of the others around (especially The Old House). Rooms can differ from fantastic to mediocre, I was lucky enough to stay in the modified stables at the back of this hotel 2 out of the 3 times I've visited The White Horse. There is currently (May 2017) a LOT of work going on demolishing and clearing away the older parts of the hotel, this does mean that if you're in the old stables you're view from the window is literally a building site. The staff are always welcoming and happy to help, very clean and well presented hotel, toiletries (not toothpaste) provided in small quantities if you forget them, or like myself, don't pack them. Will more than likely stay again.

Nice enough hotel in the centre of Dorking. Nothing special but clean and comfortable. Rooms had quite a lot of character, in a positive way. Though bathrooms could do with side updating. Breakfast was good.

The food it's nice, good variety of beers. As is an old building, you can hear the building making noise during the night. The staff it's super nice!

Stayed here before with work, okay for a standard hotel for a few nights. If you can stay down the road at the Burford Bridge I'd recommend it. Staff are also happy to help here too.

Situated right in the middle of Dorking town centre, the White Horse is an old coaching Inn.
We had a nice quiet drink in the hotel bar. There are many choices of venues in Dorking but if you want a civilised conversation in charming surroundings then the White Horse is a good choice.
The bar area is well kept with some lovely old features. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
As with any hotel bar, the prices are not cheap but also not too exorbitant. There's a good choice of spirits and gassed beer/lager but you're out of luck if you fancy a real ale!
It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Dorking.
