Been going to Minocqua’s BWP for 12 years with friends (annual x-country ski & snow shoe trip). Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. Fantab pool & hot tub, bar/lounge, comfortable rooms, tasty breakfast, great location and NICE staff. Love it.

Always like coming to this hotel, clean rooms and helpful staff. The water with the fruit is a nice touch and decent breakfast too.

Every Time my grandmother came up north to visit, this is her number one choice for a hotel. The hotel rooms are clean, bedding is comfortable, there's a nice view for those who're lucky enough, wifi is excellent, and the breakfast is also delicious.

The swimming pool and hot tub are always clean, and sometimes I've even seen people cleaning them, which is always great to see. There's a bar that is always populated with people for a good social night, and not to forget the usual vending machines. The hotel is right in town and not too far away from Minocqua's fun attractions.

This is the place to stay if you are in the Minaqua, WI area. The rates are reasonable for the area. The rooms are really nicely appointed and we'll serviced. There is a very nice pool and hot tub. A small bar on sight. The best part of staying was the breakfast area... such a great variety of food is available and it is well stocked and great.

The hotel was very quiet, clean and was easy to access from the highway. The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast items with hot eggs, bacon, and waffles.

Not a bad hotel. Decent breakfast and fast internet. Rooms are small and dates but FAST internet.

I did a previous review a day ago. It stated i hated my stay. That is not so. This Minoqua Best Weastern i stay at is the best one i have ever stayed at. The worst one i stayed at and hated and will never stay at again is the one in Green Bay, Wi. Filthy, bad!!! Becky is great and has a wonderful staff. My needs and stays are always important to them. I am sorry if i hit the wrong button on my review. Thank you

A perfect location to experience Minocqua "island" on foot. Wonderful staff, clean room, nice facility. Park your car and walk about the touristy area.

Nothing special. No tub in the room and bed was as hard as a rock. Pool and hot tub were nice. Breakfast was good.

This is my go to place to stay on my way to Michigan. The facility is nice, but what makes it 5 star in my opinion are the people that work there. Shout out to Kara from Little Village. You cant go wrong staying here

Excellent hotel with great management, superb staff, all who care about their customers. The hotel further is kept very clean. If you are in the area, it is a place to make a reservation and stay.

We have always stayed at this motel when visiting Minocqua. This time I did notice our room was very dated for the rate they charge. Our shower was not the cleanest either. At 9:30 am we had a loud knock on our door, Housekeeping!! She yelled!! Check out is 11:00!! Are we encouraging early checkout times now??

Great hotel! All the amenities you'd expect from a hotel in a larger market, but right in the middle of downtown Minocqua, Wis. The breakfast offered a lot of choices and was good quality. The room was clean and updated. The bathroom was tiny and the sink was outside of the toilet/shower, but it worked fine for my family.

We were in town because a family member was I the hospital. So everything was last minute. We made reservations on the drive up. We were greeted warmly when we arrived, the room was clean and comfortable. They were helpful when we had to extend our stay. Everyone at the front desk was kind and friendly. Would highly recommend.

The Best Western has a great location. It is walking distance to the downtown area and restaurants. The rooms were dated considering the price paid. It was a pet friendly motel which worked out well for us. The staff was very friendly.

The main issue we had was that the toilet continued to run after each time we flushed. I was going to call the front desk, but, my husband fixed it. It was very annoying for a while. The room/hotel is quite dated. It's in a very good location - just off the lake and in town so we chose it to make it convenient for us to walk around, shop, find a restaurant and also walk to the brewery to have a drink.

We felt the cost of the hotel room, considering the age of the facility and the shape it is in, plus the fact that it was 'off-peak' was pretty high. We stayed the next night up in the Northern Penninsula of MI in an AmericInn that was ON lake Michigan with wonderful outside areas for sitting. Our room was much larger, bathroom larger, was a newer hotel with hot breakfast and it was 45.00 less for the night. I think this Best Western needs to update their facility, enlarge their bathrooms, or drop their price as it's very high for what you get. The Best Western we stayed at in Galena, IL was also far less costly (by about 35.00) and a much, much nicer facility. All 3 of these hotels were located in heavy tourists locations and therefore make a good comparison.

The lobby had a cozy appearance and a welcoming area to work on a computer. The desk staff were extremely friendly and gave us ideas on where to dine. The room was above average in appearance and the bed was extremely comfortable with extra pillows.

Took a group of Girl Scouts for a fun weekend. We had four rooms. The staff was very child friendly.

Great location but older room. Had a suite for 6 and only 1 tiny bathroom. Internet was super slow. On the positive side: Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was nice for the kids. Breakfast was good.

Enjoyed our stay here; hotel is close to downtown, we could walk. Rooms very clean and have all the amenities you need,, excellent and very responsive staff, breakfast is good and filling. Will definitely choose a Best Western Hotel again and recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Minocqua area.

Have stayed here several times now and love it. Very clean and the location can't be beat. Just avoid room 220; that bed is as hard as a rock. (I did receive a room change at no extra charge.)

Clean rooms with very comfortable beds and pillows. The bar is very small but the bartender was extremely friendly. Good breakfast in the morning. This is so close to everything in downtown Minocqua that you can walk everywhere.

This is a nice place. The bed could be a bit nicer, but overall the facility is quiet and comfortable. Easy access to my place of employment.

Enjoyed my stay for the most part. The thing I would strongly suggest is the dog area needs grass badly. I don't know how you can restrict dogs to an area then allow trucks to drive all over it? Fix that!

Clean hotel with nice staff and ample breakfast. It is across from the lake and walking distance to shops and MINOCQUA Brewing Co.. They have a small, nice lounge and crystal clear pool. Grab a complimentary cookie , coffee, and water in the foyer! It's also nice that a bottle of water is complimentary in your room for a day of "doing"!

Had a great time this past weekend. Had the grandchildren for the weekend, enjoyed the pool. Everyone is so nice and make us feel so welcome! Room was awesome. I always stay here when I am in town.

Pleasant staff. Very clean. I travel a lot for work and thankfully I don't pay the hotel rate but when I saw the invoice at $140 for one night, it just wasn't worth that rate. Nothing going on, only a few rooms were occupied, should have been way less charge. Would've given 4 stars otherwise! But since the rate was so high they want to be judged like it was worth it and it wasn't. Couldn't connect to wifi, can tell building is very aged but painted and a few other cheap patches to get by it seems. Old building, very low ceilings and feels cramped. My room door wasn't really lined up with the frame correctly, some cracks in paneling in bathroom, shower head wasn't working properly, and only entrance in is the main entrance, also, two electrical outlets in the whole room which couldn't be plugged in properly and would fall out if not gently plugged in and made sure the cord wasn't hanging or it would pull it out. But hey the TV was huge and new! Charge less when nothing is going on in town and have tons of empty rooms.

Staff was wonderful, hotel is older but has been updated and cared for. Could have used some charging outlets for cell phones and computers. Great food option accross the street.

Rooms were taken care of and tidy. Shower was nice, adequate shampoo and conditioner. I was particularly impressed with the breakfast. The breakfast burritos were delicious with the salsa, and the waffles were a nice bonus. Only thing that was missing was bananas. Overall, a great experience.

The lobby, sitting area, bar, and breakfast areas were beautiful. The rooms are nice and so is the woodwork in the hallways. Great service as well.

The rooms were spacious and clean. They also appeared to be updated, however there were no plastic cups to use and I'd prefer these over glass. Also, the room would not get very cold and I had the air conditioning on blast.

Good enough pretty much covers it. It had all the necessities, all of which were decent enough. But there isn't anything that seemingly goes above and beyond. The lobby was pretty, but the rooms were average.

Our stay has been mostly enjoyable. We had a hot tub suite which was nice, but the flow of the room was off. I was impressed that while we went to lunch they cleaned our room and even made the bed nice including our pillow.

Went to Minoqua for a birthday party and stayed there, The pool and hot tub were fabulous and having a bar there was great, When I arrived home noticed that I had forgotten my necklace that I had gotten from my Mom who had died 4 years ago. I called them when I had arrived home and within 1 hour later they had called and said that they had found it I couldn't thank them enough. The staff were great for booking our 5 rooms also.
