American style high end hotel, slightly run down but still very good for a few nights of good sleep.

Lovely room with some space. The place is nice and you get everything you need in your room. I really enjoyed my stay. For Pokemon Go players : there is many pokemon gyms around the hotel :)

A lovely hotel! Beds are huge. It is extremely clean and staff are so friendly. Really nice toiletries. Currywurst was delicious!

Modern 4-Star hotel with nicely decorated public areas and rooms. Breakfast buffet was phenomenal and the service outstanding! Parking during events will be extremely difficult, but at other times very good.

Must have been a great hotel once, now a bit run down. Bathroom had the tiniest specks of mold on the ceiling, and the sink creaked when you put any weight on it. The smell was one of cleaning solutions layered over years of use, sort of musky. The staff was impeccable to a fault, very friendly and efficient. Linens and towels were clean and crisp. Overall a nice stay. Beware of buying breakfast there, it costs 20 Euros...

Perfect for business trips... Only negative is that there's no metro station close by... So you always need to call a taxi.

Typical executive hotel, nice atmosphere and skilled staff

Nowadays, when internet it's a must, there are still hotels in Germany charging a fee to get you online, while you're in your room. This is one of those hotels.
There are free parking spots around the hotel, but most of the time it's hard to find a spot, due to the residential area next to the hotel.
Parking in the garage costs 1EUR/hr, or 10EUR/day if you're using it for more than 10 hours.
Front desk staff is very friendly.
Breakfast is fabulous.

Good room, let down a little by aging bathroom fittings. Expensive breakfast. Car park is great but having to pay daily, requiring queuing with people checking out, is tedious.

I only attended a meeting for a few hours, but it was very nicely furnished and good food

Hat alles super gepasst. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das einzige was Nachts etwas schwierig war, war der Eingang durch die Tiefgarage hier haben wir sehr lange und offt geklingelt bis jemand aufgemacht hat. Sonst war alles top.

This is an older generation Renaissance in need of an update. Carpets in the rooms, worn furniture, etc. Breakfast was ok, service subpar. In my oppinion charging 5 Euros for a bottle of water, where it is complimentary at othe Renaissance Hotels worldwide, is a ripoff. There is plenty of room for improvement...

Very nice Hotel in the heart of the ruhrarea - bar is very good with a nice selection of drinks. Rooms are clean. But the bathtub instead of a shower is a little bit annoying

Excellent locality, rooms, gym, wifi and front desk staff.

Wir waren insgesamt drei Tage über Silvester in diesem Hotel. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wir hatten ein schönes Bett. Gratis WLAN gibt es nur im Erdgeschoss mit sehr niedrigen Geschwindigkeit. Internet im Zimmer SEHR TEUER. Frühstück war in Ordnung. Im Wellness-Bereich bezahlt man 5 Euro für ein Bademantel (Reinigungsgebühr). Fitnesszimmer eher nicht so gut.

It's ok. Nothing special. Would it better if the wifi were free. Hefty fee ontop of the room price.
