Amazing hotel. There is a swimming pool that accommodates many people. The restaurant is amazing and the service even better. When in Durban and need a Hotel with an amazing view and good food and great service, Hilton Durban is the hotel for you.

What a love hotel situated in the heart of Durban. Excellent service from very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms was a lovely size and had some good views of Durban. Good parking lot available. Breakfast was superb. Swimming pool looks amazing. Also has some shops and a hair salon in the hotel.

Had the most amazing experience here at Hilton hotel. Staff is very friendly. Came here for my wife's birthday and they were very accommodating. Very tasty food and great value for money. Definitely coming back here. :)

Friendly staff and good value for money. Great place to meet over coffee or client meetings. Their lunch and dinner menus are great in variety and taste. The look and feel of the establishment seems to be aging and could be better maintained, probably a makeover or redecorated. Despite this, still a great place to visit

Attended a Woman's Day function. It was my first visit to the Hilton and I was blown away by the exquisite interior and the spiral staircase with the water feature below. It was quiet remarkable. The staff were friendly and ready to assist. The dinner and desserts were presented beautifully and tasted delicious. There was a wide selection of scrumptious food and superb desserts to choose from. I'd say the only draw back for was the parking rates which were very expensive in my opinion. We had only attended an afternoon function and spent about R90 on parking. That being said it was a lovely experience at an elegant hotel

The service was excellent from the Hilton team. A special thank you to Themba who attended to our every need from the moment we arrived up until we left. The food was delicious, well prepared and presented. I recommend the Hilton to all family and friends.

Good ambiance well fitted lobby. I send to visit a cousin staying there but could not contact him by phone. The lady at reception was unhelpful and unfriendly. Table was dirty and was only cleaned after my cousin asked the waiter. Music too loud, interfered with conversation. Toilet ok but was left dirty by last guest.

Great hotel. The staff were among the most helpful and friendly I've ever had anywhere in the world. I had an issue with my booking being for the wrong day but they changed it without me even having to ask. Also great breakfast and a nice gym that's open 24/7. Highly recommend and will stay again when I come back to Durban.

Greatly enjoyed my time in Durban at the centrally located Hilton. The rooms are clean and well maintained and staff were beyond helpful.

The hotel venues were wonderful for the events I attended and the conference center next door makes for easy access if you are attending a larger conference.

As you know by now, Hilton is one of the most famous business hotel franchises in the world. Internationally they are well located within business central hubs or next to a convention center. In the case of Durban, this Hilton hotel is located next to the ICC.

Speaking on location, what makes this Hilton good or convenient is the fact that it is a two minute walk away from the Durban ICC. Hilton being a business hotel and if you're attending a work/business function at the ICC (like I was). This is a good combination.

For it's price the hotel is quite "tired". It could definitely use some renovations. Very old fashioned and dull. This could of course be liked by some people I guess but I prefer a modern environment/hotel. Another thing that caught my attention for the bad is the poor check in and check out service. Upon check in, the person in charge seemed quite uninterested and the overall service was bad and I thought it was a one time thing but when I checked out, I experienced the same bad service with a different person. Also, the price you pay is quite high. For the same amount, I have stayed at the Hilton in Cape Town with access to the executive lounge. But here, you get a standard room with no access to the executive lounge or maybe they just don't have one.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel but I give it a 4 out of 5 stars because at the end of the day when i got into my room to rest, the comfort was there. The hotel served it's purpose well. It is a good hotel with a great location and as I mentioned earlier, if your event is at the ICC, there is no better location.

I stay at Hilton Durban often and really have nothing but good things to say. Rooms are modern, clean, comfortable and spacious with high quality finishes. Food is delicious, whether it’s room service or at one of the restaurants and there is a good variety. Staff are friendly and helpful. Centrally located, close to the ICC and easy access to north or south coasts. Frequent road closures in Walnut Road but underground parking is still accessible.

The service was excellent and people were extremely friendly I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Much appreciated

Rooms are very nice and comfortable with plenty of space. Service has been great and will definitely return if I do visit Durban again. Oy down side I had was that you pretty much could not walk around outside of the Hotel.

Am amazing experience. The rooms are awesome. Feel like you're in another world when you step through the doors. Definitely a place to stay when you're in Durban. Hospitality is on par with the best in the world. An awesome place to be.

Excellent place stay. Quiet. Pleasant and Friendly staff. Very efficient. Absolutely clean. Excellent view (city and the ocean) The Hilton offers a Spa, Salon, Gym, Undercover parking, Meeting Rooms, Gift Shop,Security . Very safe for children.

The restaurant is "Wow" A variety of dishes. Caters for all. Service is Super Excellent. Very efficient staff. Chefs are great. Meals are delicious.

A nice hotel centrally located especially if you are going to a conference at the Durban ICC. Its more a business traveller than a place to stay for holidays. Staff responsive and helpful only negative is the parking its small and tight. Otherwise worth the stay.

One of the BEST dining experiences ever. We dined at Rainbow Terrace. The buffet was scrumptious & the deco so African & yet so South African. It lacked entertainment thou. Some music would have been nice since it was VALENTINES dinner... There was arrival drinks at the door & roses for the ladies. Very savvy... Will definitely go back.

Enjoyed a comfortable stay....used the facilities at the gym while there, was good. The cherry on top for me was...my son left his spectacles behind and it was returned to me in one piece ( Durban to Pretoria)...thanks for keeping it safe and working with the courier to get it back to us safely. Much appreciated.

Really friendly staff! I loved our stay here this past new year! The room had nice views and nice amenities. Great location with a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Quality modern furniture, room was very neat, spacious and the view was awesome. Very comfortable bed with spotless linen. The mini refrigerator was locked and there was no explanation, we could not keep our drinks cold as it was very hot in Durban.

The Hilton Durban is an excellent hotel with all the amenities you want! You can see the beach from the hotel. It’s maybe a 1/2mi walk or a 4min drive. I love the Business Lounge and also the pool

The room was excellent. Views are simply spectacular. Bathroom is pretty nice too although the shower is on the small side. An upscale place. Perfect for business as well. Food was better than most places. The service was excellent.

An absolute treat! Such friendly staff and delicious food. The rooms were spacious and we had a lovely view. The toiletries available were outstanding quality and left you smelling amazing. Staff were efficient and helped us check in and check out our luggage. The room had block out curtains which made it lovely to sleep in late.

I had better food & service at 3 star Hotels in Durban. At the Buffet hot food were served cold (out of shaving dishes that looks like they where salvaged from a second hand shop). Dirty, unpolished & wrongly placed cutlery. Cheap continental crockery with greasy fingermarks.
The best tasting item on the desert buffet was the fresh fruit?
Totally uninformed waiters with no knowledge of bar items and no sense of urgency.
Shocking that there was only one Sauvignon Blanc available at bar and with a markup of more than 400% on beverages, daylight robbery!

The rooms are large and very elegant and classy. The shower and the bed are definitely 5 star. We also requested a sea facing room and the view was stunning.

The staff are friendly but service was inefficient for e.g. I called housekeeping 3 times during our stay with no response. Also small 5star touches like bathrobes and slippers are missing.

I think value for money is reasonable.

Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Walking distance from ICC, The Workshop Flea Market and the beachfront. Conference and meeting room venues within the hotel are classy and professional.

An excellent hotel great staff and good rooms. Food is very good. Located centrally it is not close to the beach or the marine park but is only a short taxi ride from both. Close to the Victoria street market. Executive lounge has a good selection of food and wine or beer. Breakfast is excellent.rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard and there is guest WiFi.

The Hilton Hotel in Durban is a bitter sweet, the Hotel is amazing the location is not. If you are in a head to head conference at the ICC and you need a place nearby to sleep and network, this is the place to be. If you intend on site seeing then its best to stay somewhere in Umhlanga Ridge. The staff at the Hilton are world class and know how to receive international delegates.

Fabulous High Tea Experience on a Saturday afternoon... great selection of both sweet and savoury petit fours, deliciously decadent cakes - epic carrot cake - and an assortment of teas & coffees.

If you have a conference at the Durban conference center this is the place to stay. It is just a short walk away. The staff are very friendly and attentive and they do have a very nice business center where you can make photocopies etc. My only complaint was the wifi which I couldn't pick up in my room.

Very sophisticated and modern hotel. I only ate at the Big Easy Grille and Wine Bar, which is delicious. I will stay here during my next visit. Although the hotel is luxurious, it is very affordable to the average US tourist. If you can afford to come to South African you can stay here!!

Hilton Durban provided outstanding service to us in March, 2016 when we hosted an international seminar on "Green Card options to the United States Through Investment" event. Our event was a great success. Because of our great success with our event we will be returning to South Africa in June 2016 with the team from the Great Texas Regional Center. Our first stop will be at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Dubai on June 7-9, 2016. Stayed here for 4 days both in 2012 and 2016. The staff is incredibly welcoming and genuinely kind overall. The food is great. For breakfast they give you the option of crispy bacon or lightly cooked fatty bacon. As an American this is a HUGE luxury in the food department.
