    Hotel Cala di Volpe sits on a spectacular 55-kilometer stretch of Sardinian coastline known as Costa Smeralda—or “Emerald Coast”—due to the deep green colour of the Mediterranean sea. Dramatic rock formations—windswept into sculptural reliefs by the Mistral—are as characteristic of the areas astonishing beauty as the fragrance of laurel, oleander, and juniper carried on the ocean breeze. The meandering coast forms hidden inlets of aqua blue water perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving. Open from April through October of each year, the resort enjoys endless sunshine and balmy temperatures from 20 to 27 degrees Celsius, while the ocean warms to an ideal 23 degrees Celsius.

    Take a motor boat to La Maddalena Islands, with its enchanting coves of “Manto della Vergine”—crystal clear water—and pristine white sand beaches. Explore the lovely islands of Caprera, Budelli, Spargi, La Maddalena, and Santa Maria along the way.

    The Costa Smeralda is a water sport and boating paradise. Allow us to organize sailing trips, windsurfing, snorkeling, and scuba diving all along our coastline. Boats—ranging from simple dinghies to elaborate motor yachts—may be rented for the day.

    Visit San Pantaleo—the open-air market—held every Thursday in the charming church square of this traditional Sardinian village. Musicians play in the shade of pink and red oleander trees, while local artisans and farmers offer a colourful display of crafts and produce.

    Appealing to history enthusiasts, the massive Bronze Age shelters of Nuraghi Stone Structures are symmetrically laid stones offer a fascinating glimpse into the legacy of the Nuraghi—Sardinias ancient indigenous people. Tours may be arranged to the most prominent structures scattered across the island.

    What an amazing place. We loved the renovated suite with beautiful views from the balcony. Lunch Buffet/BBQ was fantastic. Service always very, very kind and helpful!
    We will be back this summer!

    Love it. After staying here, now I understand why all the rich & famous came here and make so many history and fame for this hotel.

    I came for a solo little vacation. This hotel was really more than expected. I got the upgraded new designed. The room was simple, space good enough for one person. The best part was the balcony and the beautiful sunrise. The color from the sky reflects with the pink bldg made it an amazing scene to see.

    Great food from the restaurants.
    Many guess come every year for 10 years plus. (and I am joining them again from this year)

    Only comments i the Japanese restaurant is way over-priced.

    Unique and legendary palace on the water! They started to renovate, our room was not (most of the furniture were broken!). Very strong breakfast buffet. One of the biggest hotel pool in EU! Superb atmosphere, very high prices for certain things! Overall a very nice experience, nice and friendly service! Will come back, especially after they finish to renovate all the rooms!

    Direct on the sea. The small marina has a shuttle to go to Nikki beach. Perfect service and amenities. The rates are like the George V or the Savoy....little too much even for Porto Cervo! u need a cab to go to Porto cervo 30 euro minimum! One way!

    Beautiful hotel, amazing views, excellent service. Friendly helpful staff.
    Extortionate prices €15 for water, €15 for soft drink, €20 French fries and €30 for a 3 minute taxi ride. Need a car as taxi required to anywhere outside hotel.

    The classic in Sardegna. It feels like being James Bond decades ago. The little harbor within the hotel is so pretty and the food was just great. The hotel is pricy but worth. This is the hotel you must see in Sardegna, one of the best or the best.

    A long held dream to visit this James Bond location was finally realised. The setting and surroundings were amazing, everything I had hoped for. We had a couple of (very expensive) drinks at the bar and initially the service was good with the drinks and some bar food being provided quickly and efficiently. The whole experience was spoilt when we wanted to pay the bill. In total we waited more than 30 minutes and it was only when we got up to walk towards the exit that the bill was finally provided. A real shame.

    We went there for pre-dinner drinks and we loved the drinks and the various nibbles that are served with them. The terrace had an amazing view of the sea. I have NOT seen the rooms or tried the restaurant.
