Very lovely hotel. They have a very diverse staff and everyone is so friendly. They have made to order breakfast, and happy hour. The waterfall in the lobby is simply beautiful.

So I stayed here for a family reunion 8/16-8/19 and I absolutely loved it here. I love the rooms(family of 6) it was more than enough room for us. I love the happy hour really came in handy dealing with 4 boys ages 1,4,9,& 11. My husband loved when it was happy hour because he knew it would be happy hour for him LOL!!!!! The only down side is you could tell they didn’t use as much chlorine for the pool because the water was yellow light greenish color and my kids complained there eyes were burning and the water tasted salty. The breakfast was average it could’ve been better if they gave different selections each day. But the area is nice to walk around downtown. The Rosa Parks museum and Ferry boat is just a few things to name that is walking distance. I would’ve given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the breakfast and pool. But I would stay again if had to visit. I would just got out and eat.

This place is great and totally worth it! There's free breakfast, free drinks (alcoholic!!!!), and free snacks from 5-730 every day. The room was clean, the beds are comfy, and the service was great. Parking is $16/night for self parking and valet is $21/night, though, only downside.

Hotel was great location, great amenities, but needs to be updated, remodeled and just plain cleaned better. The staff is also very unhelpful. They are supper friendly but just don’t know local attractions or how to find even basic amenities like diapers. I was told to go across the street to another hotel gift shop to see if they had swim diapers as they didn’t know of any store in the area.
Bartenders were the exception as they were fantastic and super helpful!

A hotel of this caliber would benefit by paying closer attention to its guests requests. I called the front desk several times requesting service during my stay and was assured several times that I would be taken care of. The care never came and our frustrations grew. After coming in to find the room had not been serviced for the third day in a row I called to request housekeeping to come service the room including new sheets and towels. I was asked how many sheets I needed. This lack of attention to my direct requests compels me to recommend the hotel across the street.

Fantastic location in walking distance to the plethora of historical and cultural sites in the city. This Embassy Suites is participating in their environmental impact reduction program, encouraging guests to reduce housekeeping in exchange for Hilton Honors points. The staff is above average in friendliness and courtesy. The only drawback was the single entry self parking option. Whenever a car turned into the lane accidentally, it was a whole snafu for them to back out. Highly recommend this hotel!

Room wasn't ready when we arrived 4:30 pm (check-in listed as 4 pm). Had to wait about 15 minutes. Hotel generally outdated, but it's clean and the rooms are large. Ice machines out of order and few luggage carts. Breakfast selection was extensive, but food was cold and just average. Manager's reception in the evening was a nice touch. Great location for enjoying museums, restaurants, and river walk. Overall, would probably stay again if in Montgomery.

Great location. Great guest service. Hotel dated and needs to be refreshed. Not maintained well in certain areas. Walls are thin can hear your neighbors in the room. Free street parking on weekends and holidays instead of paying hotel parking fee

Not a bad place to stay, staff accommodating. Room not as up to date as you would think. No place to charge phone in room no USB port. Lack a little on cleanliness as well. Had to change rooms because of cleanliness issue but staff quickly made change. Breakfast was okay, staff extremely nice. Restaurant in hotel not impressive had to leave hotel to find dinner. The posted price was not what I was charged with taxes and public parking fee the 133.00 room was 171.00. Nearly 40.00 in taxes and parking for one night.

I was here for 4 nights attending a trade-show... I must say it was a good stay... Nice location downtown, excellent breakfast buffet, the only reason I might have given it 4 stars would be because of cleanliness, I did notice that my room could have used a complete cleaning but it wasn't filthy just some corners needed a bit of cleaning up.... staff was all very friendly and I will be back! Mixed feelings about this hotel. The staff was very friendly. The hotel offered free drinks during certain hours. The breakfast was fantastic. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but they need to be updated. I could clearly hear the people in the room next door. One morning of our stay there was a bug in our bathroom sink, and the shower made a weird and really loud noise.

The room service is so trash they don't change the sheets on the bed they don't change the trash. Room service doesn't come all the way into the room they do not change the towels. As for the food, the cooks need to be able to prepare food for a multitude of individuals. Normally, it can be somewhat tolerable. However, when you are unable to to serve bread that is not as hard as a brick you need a serious change in staff. The water was spicy, the juice was acidic and mostly expired, the salad tasted older than my age, and the broccoli-asparagus hybrid you served us did not taste pleasant. I faught the food to get it in my mouth. However the toilet and shower were very nice.

Rooms are a great size for families. Indoor pool was perfect. Breakfast sealed the deal as a 5 star review. Staff were also very nice and attentive. Stayed here with my,wife and 3 children.

Check in was amazing the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating with our request for an early check in. The managers reception was great, the bar staff was quick and friendly. Breakfast was great as well, plenty of food with to many options to mention. The staff was friendly, greeted everyone and were quick to clean tables and ask if you enjoyed your breakfast. Now to the room. You will be hard pressed to find a room the size of the suites at the embassy. There were a few issues however. There were a couple of hairs on the shower curtain, the thermostat seems to fluctuate. At 68 degrees the rooms were cool but comfortable, the later it got however, the room became hotter and hotter. Even though the thermostat was on 62 it felt like 72, but it wasn't ever unbearable. The refrigerator door was open when we came into the room. No big deal, one of our guests brought a 12 pack of drinks and put the box in the refrigerator and we closed it up. The beer was cool with no issues in no time. The next morning when we opened the refrigerator there was a roach in there. This very well could have come from the box of drinks, we really don't know. We heard a few complaints from other guests while riding in the elevators, one gentleman said that his ceiling had mold in his room. Another group was complaining because a guest who was late arriving walked up to the front desk and asked for a key to their room. The room key was issued to her without verifying ID. That was a bit concerning. We had five people stay in our room very comfortably, and if you are attending a function downtown you can't beat the convenience factor.

You can't beat their hospitality, free buffet, and free happy hour drinks! They have one end of the bar designated for people staying and serve a decent selection of free drinks and 2 choices of beer (but light and shock top). The breakfast buffet was the best one I've seen in forever at a hotel. Made to order omlets, bacon, sausage, biscuits, pancakes, eggs, fruit, potatoes, grits and so on. It pretty much had everything. They had free newspapers and montgomery magazines. When checking in they gave us two bags of goodies (water, chips, and candy). Valet services are offered. The lobby area was very cleanly kept and the plants and waterfall are beautiful with a bistro feel. They have 3 elevators so there is never a long wait. The room was very spacious and had ample lighting. We had 5 people stay comfortably. Great location with tons of places nearby to entertain you. The room at first sight looked very clean. However our shower curtain had hair on it and there was a live roach in the refrigerator. We did not see any bugs other than the one so I don't think that would be a usual problem.

The hotel was right next to the MPAC, which was extremely convenient. We were able to check in a little early and the lobby was beautiful. The room was very neat and spacious. It had a small Keurig, a fridge, and a microwave, we also received cans of soda and small bags of chips without cost in the room. The hotel used my cell to text us making sure we had everything and responded promptly in text and action to any request. The snacks in the evening were okay, but I really enjoyed the complementary breakfast. All in all, a wonderful stay.

Nice accommodations. Cold and drafty on the main floor in public areas, but that is what happens in a large, open space like this. Pool was fine. Nice to have breakfasts and happy hours. One day we requested a room cleaning, and by 7 pm we had to ask again.

This Embassy Suites has some nice amenities but also some dated. I enjoyed the managers reception with light snacks and drinks. My room was quite spacious. The beds and linens were comfy and clean. The bathroom was clean but dated. The upgraded soaps/shampoos were nice. I especially enjoyed the cooked to order eggs at breakfast.

This is a very nice Embassy Suites, especially for Montgomery. The rooms are spacious and its location can't be beat -- right across the street from the convention and performing arts centers, and within 5 minutes walking to several restaurants. The breakfast is what you'd find at any Embassy Suites (good!) and there is a small pool on-property. The hotel also has a nice little bar, serving up drinks, appetizers, and pizzas. Only downside is the $14/day parking fee. Good spot; recommended!

The hotel was clean and easy to maneuver. check in was fast as well as check out. did not use digital key as they were going to have to use a different system to program it. loved the box dinners they offered sure to it being xmas. great stay

This is a nice cozy establishment. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms we're clean. Not the flashiest, but safe. If you're stopping overnight on a long trip, this is a 5 star!

My family an I purchased 2 rooms close to $200 A room. I figured they'd come with the regular amentaties like pool an hot tub an that's where the fun begins. I go down with my family for a swim an find the hot tub out of order. I would expect at the price we paid for everything to function. I also noticed the water fall in the social area was not working either an looks like it hasn't in quite awhile. Staff was friendly but that's a gimme.

Service, breakfast and location were/are fantastic. The hotel is close to downtown restaurants and entertainment. The room was not as clean as I have come to expect from an embassy suites. My bathroom sink had little hairs all over the counter and sink, probably from someone shaving but not cleaned. The shower also had long black hairs throughout. The bed sheets and carpet floors seemed to be clean which matter a whole loot more to me. Probably missed the bathroom upon cleaning but will try this hotel again next time in the area, with hopefully better results.

Embassy Suites are great hotels. Awesome breakfast and happy hour. Rooms are nice as well. Unfortunately our air conditioner did not work properly & the toilet run all night.

It was amazing it just need to be updated and some new furniture and the paint color flip flop because it look like y'all painted not to long ago. And the pool needs to be open till 1:30 and some new stairs and it stink where the stairs are. Well on the other half it was amazing I loved it❤.

All I'm going to say is, Hospitality/Food and beverage have become second-rate these days.
Employees that present lack of desired interest or unispired in their positions make the Hilton Brand (among other hotel chains)look shoddy.

It's best I take my comments and concern to Hotel Management.

This hotel us located centrally to downtown near the baseball stadium. The hotel itself is an impressive structure and the inside is immaculate and modern. I attended a meeting and ate at this location. I had an excellent time and highly recommend it to anyone.

Not as clean and nice as others elsewhere. Also not fond they allow pets! I don't want to sleep with fleas and what not!! If didn't have to be here for business, I wouldn't. However, food was good and the staff was nice. Not as clean as should be, hence the 2 star.

We arrived to find our reservation choice had been over booked, the registration clerk Krista was very, very professional. She went out of her way to make other arrangements for us. Without a doubt when we are in the area again we will not hesitate to stay at this location. GREAT job for all staff, especially Krista.

Nice hotel, rooms very clean, the suite is a good size. The breakfast buffet are good. No Continental breakfast here folks, you get real food. The staff is very helpful and polite. Parking is a bit high. I think you should not have to pay for parking if you are a guest.

Great location and friendly staff! Great breakfast buffet with lots of options- eggs bacon potatoes grits pancakes fruit cereal breads and pastries and an omelet bar. Plenty of seating for breakfast. Large hotel rooms. Very clean. It's a little outdated but overall it's a great place to stay while in Montgomery. Valet was quick and efficient. We actually got moved to this hotel bc our bathroom at the Hampton in flooded. Props to Hilton for taking good care of us!!

Room was smelly. It obviously use to be a smoking room. Some of the staff were really rude to my wife and generally uninterested in assisting us. The decor in the rooms was kind of retro. The shower had low pressure and a lousy shower head. The lobby was cool but they stop serving breakfast at 9 through the week and don't offer coffee after. If I had paid less, some of this would have been acceptable but I have stayed at places less expensive with a far more pleasurable experience. I would look elsewhere for accommodations unless you are getting a great rate.

Mediocre compared to Embassy Suites Arlington, TX. Customer service, food was okay. I got a corner double bed room and the layout was narrow. Bathroom ventilation did not come on. Bedding and everything else in the room was nice & comfortable. Pool was cloudy & hot tub is almost hot & almost has powerful jets. Its was eh... ok

Typical Embassy Suites design - both lobby and rooms. The staff is fantastic and friendly. Two drawbacks that I saw are the age of the decor and the lobby temperature.

The room showed some signs of being updated but most was quite old. The tub faucet leaked constantly and there was clearly a leak in the room above me as evidenced by the damage to my bathroom ceiling, still wet and soft.

The lobby was kept at a freezing temperature to the point where I would race from the entrance to my room as quickly as possible. The staff indicated they are 'not allowed' to adjust the thermostat. They even had a heater behind the desk to keep themselves warm since they have to stay there the whole time.

There is a nice bar in the lobby which is convenient, but unless you packed a winter coat on your visit AL in the summer time I recommend you head across the street to the Renaissance Hotel which has both indoor and outdoor seating.

Quite average. The AC in our room didn't work properly, and the room was hot most of the time. There was no place to park for paying guests, so I had to use valet parking. It's not worth the price. The facility is pretty, but it just isn't worth the money. I won't stay here again.

You can do better for the money. Me and my wife stayed here over a weekend. The room's A/C clanked, rattled and never worked. The shower had no water pressure. 3 electrical outlets in our room along with 2 lamps didn't work. While these are minor problems I guess, for what you are paying you can find better.

Also as mentioned below the parking lot is public and anybody can park there it seems. This means on busy nights you will not be able to park at the hotel. You have to park a block away in a parking deck and walk around the hotel to enter. I can't believe as a paying guest you can't even park near the hotel.

Beautiful hotel with free made-to-order breakfast and complimentary "happy hour." The skylight and atrium makes this hotel unique. Rooms are well apportioned and clean. The staff is friendly. Very convenient for conference dwellers, because everything is in one place.

Room was nice, atrium, lobby and eating areas had dirty carpet. Staff appeared to just be lazy. Bathroom in lobby not working. Entire hotel needs to be closed and renovated. Use to be a great hotel. Will not be back

Embassy Suites has a attentive staff, roomy rooms, a soothing and homey atmosphere, and great breakfast complimentary of them. The only thing I didn't like was the swimming pool, the scent of chlorine was extremely choking and suffocating, stuffed in a room with little ventilation. Sure it's indoors, but they need to do a better job of getting the awful stench of chemicals aired out to where their guests can breathe. Other than that, everything else was pretty great. Just make sure to request extra shampoo and conditioner if you forgot your own.

I was there for a meeting. The food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't anything to write home about. It was catered by the hotel, not the restaurant food. The room was a good size for the number of attendees. Not a blade place for a small to medium-size gathering.

Great breakfast service. Parking wasn't a mile away if you self park. Only 2 washers and 2 dryers though. Very quick to resolve issues and extremely friendly staff.

The room and the service were wonderful. The food was mostly good, but the beef tips tasted like they came out of a can. Overall, it was a good experience, and a nice place to have our office holiday party.

Pros: The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is delicious and they have several local brews on tap. The location is superb; very close to downtown and Maxwell AFB!
Cons: Parking is an additional $10 per night. The shower is a half enclosure with no door. There is no way around getting the bathroom floor dangerously wet.

The rooms are fairly large and very clean. They have a great indoor pool and hot tub. There is also a gym on site. There is free breakfast daily and a reception with free drinks and snacks in the evening. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.

Overall a great stay. It was very busy due to a football team so it delayed our check-in time. Older hotel. Missing sheets for sofa bed so had to call. But a super friendly staff, great breakfast, nice indoor pool, and an overall great experience for our family.

So this is day one of a 25 day stay, so I ill update along the way. But I was nervous after reading the reviews.

Arrived and the valet held my keys since my car was unattended. Ive seen this at other hotels...no biggie.

Reception was courteous and got me checked in in about 3 mins. I grabbed a cart, unloaded and dropped stuff in my room and parked. Parking is $10 a day, but my work is picking it up so less of an issue for me. Other hotels do this such as Daytona beach, Destin etc.
Room is on the 5th floor so I don't hear much noise in the room, but you can in the hallway, so I can see where that might be an issue.

Free Wi-Fi for Hilton Honors members...score!...free drinks from 530-730 for all guests and it includes limited beer and alcohol plus juice and soda. A few chips, etc...score! Good thing Wi-Fi is free since its spotty at best. McDonald's has better wifi service.

Room seemed clean...not perfect though, but I haven't been in a perfect hotel. Room is big....living room with pullout, kitchet type area with microwave, sink, small fridge, and coffee pot.

Spacious bathroom...no tub, 50% of bulbs don't work.. Broken towel hook on back of door...I'll report those to house keeping tomorrow and see what happens. Shower floor looks either stained or dirty...can't tell. There is very minor mildew in the shower. No door on shower...I guess that is by design.

Bedroom is also big. King bed. Closet door is sticky to open, drawers on dresser don't have tracks so they open funny, but all minor stuff...Room is clean and AC is functioning fine.

At this point a solid 4 star place, but I recognize experiences vary...

Update: 3 Aug, day 4. Left a note for house keeping and they fixed all issues that day. Housekeeping on the first day was not good, but everyday since had been good.

Carpets really need cleaned...I would think they would do that more often. Again wifi is NOT good...worst for a hotel ive seen in a while.

The free cocktails at 530 are pretty good...liqueur is not high quality but they do a good job of making a variety of drinks and the free snacks are nice.

Cooked to order eggs and omelets are very good.

Staff is super nice and professional.

Update 9 August, day 10.
This past weekend the hotel must have been at capacity. Breakfast was all but impossible. The staff tried but there was not enough hands on deck. Noise was also an issue on the fifth floor. We closed the bedroom door and that solved it but if your using the Livingroom to sleep your hosed.

Internet won't connect or stay connect on phone and computer. Front desk gave me a IT number after complaining for 3 days. They walked be through a simple wifi reset on my phone. When that didn't work they suggested I use the business center for internet access. $129 a night and I needed to use their computers to access the internet....really? IT is submitting a terrible ticket but no timeline on the solution.

Switching to 3 stars on my review...this is 2016 and we expect and should expect to be plugged into the world. Maybe one of the other hotels have better internet access...Maybe we should stay there.

The hotel itself was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating to all my needs. The room was comfortable. Things you should know. No free parking. Hotel is right across from the train station, which can be obnoxious when there are trains arriving or departing. The AC is locked at 65 at night, which for most would be fine, but for those like me who need it cold to sleep, bring a fan!

Hotel is easy to access from the interstate. Although the hotel is a little older, it has been updated and has a modern feel. Rooms are well appointed and what i expect from Embassy. Breakfast was good and staff was very friendly. Would stay here again.

Great hotel. Large rooms with split couch/desk/executive room and bedroom one other side, separated by a door. Large, spacious room and nice bathroom. Quiet, private rooms. Good breakfast with made-to-order omelets and other breakfast meats, cereal, bagels, fruit, etc. Good ambience in open lobby/atrium with waterfall and glass-door elevators.
Only down-side is that Internet/WiFi is $4.95/day unless you're a Hilton honors member.

The quesadilla I ordered was great. I'm from out of state and they were very helpful with showing me around. Nice very clean place. Live music is amazing.

All I'll say is the decor was amazing. Scenic elevators needed work back when I stayed. Back in '08 was when. Just keep doing well.

Good stay at the Embassy Suites in Montgomery, Alabama. Room was clean. Place was quiet and the staff friendly. Good options at breakfast and the included happy hour was a good way for everyone to get together in their nice atrium. Even the prices at the gift store were reasonable for a hotel gift store. Only thing that prevents a 5 star rating is no free wifi. I would stay again.
