The resort is very nice and peaceful! Nice quiet family place! Our room was beach front and what a view!!! Our room was spotless! Everything is clean and well maintained! The entertainment was fun, we played bingo and did water Zumba! They gave way bottles for whoever won bingo! We also had a water balloon game by the beach... I went there for the weekend with my mom and my baby and we had a great time! The beach is beautiful, blue and no waves! We travel a fair amount, and I usually don’t think about ever going to the same place twice but I’ll consider returning to this resort. Not luxury, but I’ll give 5 stars because of the good relaxing time they allowed us to have. One last thing, not all of the staff was very accommodating and friendly... For example, our last morning we complained about the coffee but the waitress said that’s all they have. Then we complained about the fruits that came with the pancakes and the woman said that that was way came with it and if we had read the menu! But then the nice waiter that was there gave us better coffee and we ate the pancakes without the fruit. We felt the somehow the staff was less friendly to all inclusive guests. Overall, good place.

Before and after we got married here...it was always our favourite place to go and just relax wether by the pool or beach.

The island was recovering from the 2017 hurricanes when we visited in June 2018. Upon arrival and during the checkin process, the staff attempted to sell us on their timeshare package. This is very annoying when you spent quite a bit of time traveling to get there. Due to the hurricane, Divi didn’t have the type of room we paid for available. The resort staff wouldn’t acknowledge this even when I explicitly pointed it out to them on my reservation. The staff didn’t offer us any restaurant vouchers or other concessions to make up the price difference. We won’t stay here again.

Everyone on the island as well as the resort were so hospitable. They are working really quickly to rebuild after the hurricane and have done beautiful things to the resort. It's so beautiful on property, the beaches are pristine and the food is excellent.

Had an amazing time at the resort, despite the fact that much of the resort was still rebuilding from the storm. The resort only had one pool, one pool bar and one restaurant that was fully functional. Even still, they were sufficient for our family vacation. We made do by renting a car for the week, and exploring other parts of the island. Despite much of the island still under reconstruction, there was more than enough for us to do. Even better yet, there was more than enough places to eat thoughout the island.

However, for the purpose of this review, I'll stick to the resort itself.

First off all, if you get the All Inclusive deal, nothing differentiates you from everyone else in the resort. After every meal, every drink, every cup of coffee, you're required to sign a bill. It's a bit overwhelming at first, because you're spending up to $150 on lunch or dinner, and you just hope that you're not being charged anything at all. The resort says that the charges come off at the end, I'll have to wait until I leave to confirm that.

Interesting point, a service charge is automatically added to every bill, which brings me to my next point...

My biggest issue has been some of the wait staff. It seems as though since the service charge is included, and as such, I haven't added anything extra for tips, the wait staff has been quite visibly rude about that. Whether it's being perturbed about the lack of tips, or flat out telling my wife and I that someone else will wait on them, there's been an attitude issue with the wait staff, and I've noticed it since the first day.

If the case is tips, than don't include a service charge in the bill, and let us choose the tips. If it's a regular attitude problem, then management needs to sort it out. Much of the staff has been brilliant overall, but it seems when we go to eat at Sea Breeze, the rudeness comes out.

Other than the rude wait staff, this trip has been brilliant, and would deserve at least four stars...But let's wait until we leave, and make sure there are no hidden surprising charges at the end of the stay.

Great resort here in SXM. At the moment they are the only operating resort on the island. Beautiful gateway entrance, lobby had infused water steelband entertainment. If you have no intention leaving the resort its all in one with an watersport center, spa, mini-market, cafè fort Amsterdam, and seabreeze with few new dishes. Beaches are amazing tropical waves and also to mention jet skies and f&b service on the beach. Rooms all looking spot on smell of freshness just amazing and the view is great but seeing ships sailing in and out of the bay area is just jaw dropping. Poeple are really friendly here.

It's amazing and one of my favorite places to visit. It's my second home, and the employees are so helpful and want visitors to have the best experience.

LET ME START BY SAYING THAT DIVI ABSOLUTELY EARNED THIS 5 STAR RATING, HANDS DOWN!!! I just got back from Divi in St. Maarten 3 days ago. My wife and I went there for our honeymoon for 1 week. We were a little worried about what we would find when we arrived, because the island was hit so hard by the hurricane and the resort was scheduled to open only 1 week before our arrival. We weren't sure what to expect, but what we got was WAAAAAY beyond what we had been hoping for! This resort is still in the process of being rebuilt, but we weren't bothered by construction clutter or noise even once. The staff was more than accommodating. Every employee we met was all more than friendly. They seemed happy to have tourists visiting again, and their attitudes showed it. The view is beautiful, and the beach is one of the nicest on the whole island. The only snag that we ran into actually caused us to like this place even more. Once we had arrived and unpacked, we discovered that our air conditioner wasn't working. They immediately offered to give us a new room, but we declined. With the sea breeze, the temperature wasn't bad at all. We explained that we were happy where we were at, and we didn't want to pack and unpack again. We reassured them that we were 100% happy with our room and that we didn't want to switch. They gave us gift certificates to use in the restaurant to help with meals, which we were pleasantly surprised by as we didn't ask for or expect anything. Then, the next day, a maintenance man knocked on our door with a room fan in his hands. We were totally blown away when we realized that it was brand new, and he told us that his supervisor had sent someone off the resort to buy the fan JUST FOR US! This place was already getting 5 stars from us without a doubt, but after getting the fan and gift cards, I'd give them 7 out of 5 stars if I could! I can't say enough about how great this place is. It made a very special trip even more special and we will remember it forever. The island is beautiful, the locals are great, the food is excellent, and Divi is the best! I could go on for paragraphs about how great this place is, but I'll spare everyone and stop here. If you are considering going to St. Maarten, definitely go to Divi. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful beach & view. They’re coming along great after the storm. Many units are being updated, so it’s not crowded at all & at times we had the beach more to ourselves. We had some issues with the room and Elvis was very helpful making sure we enjoyed our well deserved holiday. Very clean & modern.
We rented a car & felt good supporting the island after such a devastating storm. Thank you to all the Staff at Divi!

Great Boardwalk with great shops awesome prices on beer and overall General relaxed day on the beach with a very nice and accommodating shops and business owners. The people we rented beach chairs from included a bucket of beer and we're very kind people lots of things to see at this Resort

This is the perfect beach in the best bay in a perfect little paradise. The staff is exceptional and the layout of the resort is excellent, you can do it all or nothing. Good food great drinks and perfect for R&R.

Beach is gorgeous, snorkeling is awesome. People are friendly. Chairs and umbrellas are only $5 each for visitors. Yes, there are people selling bracelets and hair braiding, but they're not super pushy about it. Actually considering flying in to St. Maarten to stay overnight at this place!

Great service great food beautiful ambiance got to love it

I'm a Divi owner in St. Croix. This was my second time staying at Divi St. Maarten. I'm posting here as I never got a comment card to express my concerns and I asked when I checked out and was told I'd receive in an email. I've been home for 3 days now and no comment card.

Although the property is beautiful, the restaurants are good, the entertainment is good and the employees are all very accommodating and friendly, my room this time was a disaster.

I had Room 505 which was very convenient to everything. Having said that, my bedroom was located just feet from the main thoroughfare through the property. The golf carts started at 7 a.m. just feet outside my window and it was noisy. The view from my bedroom windows was a high wall to protect from the street view.

The room definitely needs some major maintenance! The refrigerator was about 20 feet from my head in the adjoining kitchen. It was the loudest refrigerator I've ever heard and the motor came on very frequently during the night waking me up each time. I complained twice and maintenance came out and said it was too close to the back wall and was vibrating. They moved it out and left. Nothing changed. I complained again and another employee contacted Maintenance to see if they had a spare; I never heard back. I even went out on my patio to sleep one night but it rained and I had to return to my noisy bedroom.

The lock on the back sliding patio door was rusted and wouldn't lock. Maintenance came out and couldn't fix and said they don't have those locks any more. There was a rod attached to the slider that they told me to use to keep the door secure. The microwave was broken and only had one power - very high. Everything I tried to reheat, turned rubbery. The TV console had two doors which wouldn't stay closed. When the patio door was open (no screens), they blew out into the room and I hit my head twice.

I could hardly wait to get home so I could get some sleep. I'd planned on returning and bringing family members next year. After this year's experience, I'm rethinking my choice. There are other properties on St. Maarten and other islands to choose from. I can't go through another week in an outdated room where I can't sleep again.

This resort is really private; on the beach, has 3 pools, Jacuzzis, 2 bar, beach chair... I love coming here just to relax, have a no w lunch or dinner or spend a lovely day at a nice CLEAN, calm beach.. 5 stars and definitely worth it.

Very friendly staff but everything is done in typical carribean "take it easy" way and because of that we had to pull and drag our own heavy suitcase from the second shelf all the way to the mini van (the transportation to the airport) this isn't good service at all. But for the rest ye staff is very friendly and the resort is beautiful only thing is the music is too loud and the mattresses are too old and squeeky.

What a diamond. We were at port off a carnival cruise. Asked taxi for a more quiet beach. They took us here and I think I will book a week next year. Amazing. Super clean, beautiful beach soft sand like talc. The staff were amazing, we shopped, ate and used a free lounge they had. Neatest idea a simple room just off the beach with tables tv ac and showers. So much better than dragging sand back to your room. The staff treated us like premier guests even though I told them we were on cruise. 2 of them gave me brochures when I told them, and in a soft sell kind of way. They are very well trained and the entire grounds are immaculate. I didn't even stay and left wishing I had.

Very nice resort that fosters a sense of community. Evening events at the central bar (happy hours, crab races, trivia, karaoke) made meeting other travelers more approachable. Rooms are so close to the beach that you can hear the waves at night. Clean beach in a protected bay that makes swimming easy and snorkeling is nearby.

Nice resort in a nice location. Rooms are well kept and clean. Good activities by the beach and loved the happy hour. We have a 1 BR suite with a walk out to a nice view of the bay.

Super place to stay for vacation. Staff is very friendly. It is located at the most beautiful spot on the island. A little hike to get to anything outside the resort area but is doable. I would recommend a rental car. You could spend your whole vacation right on the resort, plenty to do. Small gym, get a massage, pools. hot tubs, dining areas are all very nice. A must go to place. We loved every minute of our stay and will be going back again very soon.
