Good location, friendly staff. Room was clean but it the smell was weird. Worst part is one lift n that too super slow.

Good location. Nice front door registration staff. The worst part was they have 1 elevator for the guests and staff. At least that is what it seemed like. Long waits to get on and off elevator, with staff also needing in and out of it. I have never been in a hotel that served such a chaotic breakfast. One staff member had her hands full; and she tried her best to do a good job. She was running around like crazy trying to get everyone everything they needed and the place was a mess. The counters were covered with dropped food. She had no time to clean anything because she was trying to keep everything filled. She definitely needed more help. I felt bad for her. She really tried. She was really a sweet lady, and very hard worker.

Very conveniently located to the mall and good restaurants. Nice place with friendly staff. Highly recommend it!

We asked for a 2 bed room and gave us a 1 bed room and aome of us were sleeping in the floor and they have a really small and crowded Indoor pool but the breakfast and fittness was great and service .

Rooms were nice but front desk is severely understaffed. Several phone calls to the front desk resulted in no answer (called from room phone and cell phone).

The room and bed were very nice. The elevator was sketchy.. they were fully staffed but handled it well

Rooms were great, along with a decent working AC unit to take out the lingering humidity. Complimentary breakfast was staffed by the nicest hostess ever, almost uncomfortable in the caring and hugs given. Being literally catycorner to a sister Courtyard, the shared parking lot gets full quickly. The only thing I could find lacking was a decent fitness center. An elliptical, two treadmills and a rack of dumbells with one bench fill up quick with people in the morning or evening.

Great motel in San Antonio away from the Riverwalk. Stayed here a few times and is our first choice when not staying downtown at Riverwalk. The desk clerk's are always helpful and polite! And the breakfast is a great bonus!

And to Mary Helen for her hugs, smiling warm morning greetings and her over-the-top help with our breakfast needs. Breakfast buffet was fresh, varied and delicious. Our stay was wonderful--highly recommend this Fairfield Inn & Suites.

Front desk staff was very attentive. Rooms were clean and ac blasting ice cold air. Location is convenient with sea food right next door.

I've been staying at this exact Fairfield for the past 3 years. Staff are excellent, rooms are clean and is with in proximity of anything you might want to do.

Hotel is sort of hidden in the back, behind the Courtyard Marriott building. Can be a bit confusing cause both hotels are painted the same. Room was spacious and clean, but, the restroom could of used a bit more TLC. Nonetheless, stay was comfortable. Complementary breakfast is always a nice touch, but the food was left to be desired. Staff was curtious.

Stayed here 2 nights. Centrally located with tons of restraunts and a walmart close by. Indoor pool was a plus for my kids since we can on a rather rainy weekend. Staff was always nice and accomidating to my requests and needs.

Convenient and comfortable.
The only things that weren't clean were the walls, which had black marks in weird places. No fan in the bathroom, and light switch is outside so you have to turn the light on the you go in. That is annoying to those sleeping.

Ok breakfast unless you wanted edible sausage. A few GF options.

Front staff was rude, and also made promises to call when we could check in and never did. The afternoon front desk attendant acted like she knew nothing of our conversations about our 2 room reservations needing to be next to each other, that we had with the morning attendant. Funny as soon as I said that I wasn't going to pay, she magicly found 2 rooms next to each other. Never apologized. Very unlike Marriott.

Really nice rooms and extremely friendly hotel staff. The location is easy on and off the freeway. Mrs. Mary who runs the breakfast is out of this world. She is kind, courteous, and a friendly face that is always welcoming. The breakfast is really good with a variety of food that satisfies a healthy appetite.

The location is convenient to the airport, mall, and restaurants. The rooms seem a little old and there's only one elevator that can take awhile. The bed and pillows are super comfortable and the room has everything we need and very roomy. The staff we've encountered so far have been very friendly and helpful.

Very helpful front desk - and I wasn't even a guest!
From the moment I walked in, Tony was very friendly and helpful. I was to meet up with my son who happened to be at a different Marriott hotel, but Tony was most accommodating in helping me find my way.
He is the type of person you want at your front desk.

Very clean, comfortable, and spacious rooms. Staff is friendly, helpful and always available. Breakfast is wonderful, and includes the usual continental fare, as well as a selection of hot food. I'd definitely stay there again.

Almost everything was great. There are only three things I can say were they can improve on the parking lot, the beds and last the breakfast female person can a bit more nicer. Other than that everything was great. I still would definitely recommend this place.

The location in San Antonio gives great access to the major freeways in the area. The rooms are nice and the staff has been very helpful. Breakfast is Marriott standard. The fitness room is quite small and the laundry room only has one washer and dryer for the whole hotel.

Stay here for 4 weeks when I first moved to San Antonio. Perfect location to access everything. The staff are really friendly, my room was spotless everyday.

Overall, this location is very clean and the staff here is very accommodating. That being said, this location is a bit older, and it shows. This will not deter me from staying here again. The building may show it's age, but the furniture and facilities within seem to have been updated recently. I'm very happy with my stay here, and I look forward to my next visit here in San Antonio!

Disappointed with the room! The AC was blowing hot air on and off. The room didn't cool off until late morning hours and it was kind of late to move to another. The comforter had small spots of dried blood! We've usually had a great experience here.

Nothing too fancy, but all the hotel staff were very kind and the breakfast was good. Rooms were clean, my room had a streetlight pointed into it which made the room quite bright at night but other than that the experience was great.

This is my third time being in this hotel. It's always a great place to stay. The lady that takes care of the breakfast area is really nice and helpful. Just one suggestion, the breakfast area gets really crowded in the mornings, maybe you all can think of expanding the area a little bit.

This place is in a really cool location, close to good restaurants, and designed well. It sits back off the road to eliminate road noise as well. It's a cool set up, with modern rooms.

Not at all what we're use to when we visit a Marriott Fairfield. No bar/Starbucks or hot tub. Pools is indoor and it smells. The building is old so the elevator is super slow and smelly. To top it if we received a wake up phone call at 4:30am which we did not order. After waking up every morning for work at 4:30 am that was the last thing we needed. Some guest were very inconsiderate as well slamming the doors making it hard to sleep. Next time we will travel across town for a newer building and atmosphere. Not worth the $$$$

Nice Hotel great staff good location close to airport and several attractions a bit to far if you are going to have a few drinks at the Riverwalk I would suggest an Uber.

My first time there, there was a mistake but staff there fixed asap. One of the fronr desk young lady (I believe her name was Erika) was very friendly, polite, and very helpful. I will stay there again.

My room was dirty. The sheets were not changed previously and there were ladybugs in my room, although that is best scenario if you are going to have bugs. However, the staff was friendly.

Rooms were clean and modern. Small mini fridge and microwave in the room. Parking is plentiful and location is ideal near airport and many restaurants. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rate was $78 for 2 Queen beds. Breakfast with basic but still had a few choices. Would definitely stay at this location again if I have any other business to conduct on the Northside of San Antonio. North Star North Star Mall is also nearby, so I was able to get some Christmas shopping done. Did not use the indoor swimming pool, a bit smal,l but I touched the water and it was plenty warm. Wish they had a hot tub.

Newly renovated. Very clean. Rooms aren't real roomy but, not cramped. Plenty of lighting to keep the room bright. Friendly check in and staff. I had a payment issue that was resolved as of this review. Thank you Sandra and to Andrew Curtis for resolution to the problem. Mary Ellen the breakfast attendant is fabulous! Offers to make you a waffle. She brings a cold bottled water, plastic cutlery and napkins to your table while you fix your plate. A hug each day and genuine care and blessings offered to one and all. She is definitely a valuable asset and would be a reason to consider another stay when we are back in San Antonio. A great central location with Pappadeux, Logan's Roadhouse and Cracker Barrel within a few minutes walk. Walmart close as well. A short drive to attractions, Riverwalk, restaurants and nightlife. A great choice for the price.

Staff was great. I called about two hours before check in requesting an early check in. They got it done for me. Breakfast was smooth. There was alot of people but they had it under control and kept the line moving. Clean hotel room. Thin hotel walls but that is too be expected. Parking was easy to locate and I felt safe leaving my car there. Uber to the river walk was about $15 both ways.

Lobby area very hot. Two day we have requested that they lower the A/C, thermostat says 86, they are not very accommodating with this issue.

It is a good hotel and very clean rooms. We stayed here during our visit to San Antonio for 3 days. It's a good hotel for the price range around 100$ per night. I feel the price is little on higher side. There is a Walmart at 0.5 mile distance.
Cons: they do not have good breakfast buffet and there is a indoor pool near the lift and you can smell the chlorine water downstairs but nothing in the room though !
I would recommend staying at this place again for little bit less price.

Very nice hotel overall but I've stayed at some better Fairfield Inn's. The breakfast area is small and easily overcrowded. Good food options for breakfast and large spacious rooms definitely mean I would book again.

Great value and close to everything that is not downtown.

I've stayed at over 50 Marriott properties worldwide. I have to say the staff here, specifically the morning breakfast area attendant, older Hispanic lady, is the best I've seen. She greets most with hug and cheek kiss. The difference is she is genuine. I've seen customers return because of how welcomed they feel. Although the property is old and beat up she is the asset that makes me come back.

Had a great time and the staff was AMAZING and very helpful. They made our first family vacation the best it could be!
