Best place to stay in mexicali mx

This place speaks for it self. the reason for my review is to confirm any guess you might have about where to stay in Mexicali. I been staying at this hotel every other weekend for the last 90 days since April 1 2020. you can't go wrong here. for what i paid for a motel 6 here in the U.S. is what i paid at Lucerna and its like staying at the MGM Grand in Vegas. The staff are super friendly and service is top notch. They have guards watching the parking lots 24-7. The rooms are super clean, the food is excellent. I suggest making the reservation onli thru thier website to get the best deal. Its a must try. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful, romantic and great restaurants! You don't have to leave the hotel! There is an awesome bar with the best pianist you've ever heard. He can play ANY song you request. Even if hes never heard it before. Just give him 5 minutes and he will play it beautifully. The restaurant next to the bar has exquisite food. The room was clean and the building also had security. I will definately stay here again.

Great hotel. Bilingual staff. Luxurious rooms. Several very nice restaurants on site with awesome food. 2 great swimming pools. Highly recommended when visiting Mexicali, Mexico.

Mmm. The place is really nice. Service was excellent..
People are sooo polity felt like home i though we find a hidden gem...till saturday the pool got crowed with tons of people...which is not bad at all...but they all had coolers with outside food and alcohol...they where having fun but we where there to relax with my little ones so the atmosphere wasn't right. Hope they can change this it's actually in their hotel rules book...probably better for week days

Great ambiance. Generally great and friendly service. Nice bungalows. Deducted 1 star for really really crappy Wifi and difficult to get poolside service. We go at least once a year for a relaxing weekend.

This hotel is great, the staff is friendly and attentive. The room was clean and A/C was very cold...important in Mexicali in the summer :) The only thing that the room lacked was blackout curtains. It was like heaven in the room when the sun came up. The room had wood blinds but no curtains. I was not happy at 6:45am with a super bright room. This effected the confort of the room. If not for this I would of rated it 5 stars.

I attend meetings here often. I stay here occasionally. Breakfast buffet on Sunday is very worthwhile. Great location. Easy to find. Parking is ok, too.

Very clean rooms, comfortable bed, rain shower, pool was nice maybe if it was a little bigger will be better. Overall We had a great time

Everyone has been more than welcoming! Every single person working is so nice welcoming respectful ... always checking on my family and I to make sure we are doing great and or if we need anything! I would recommend this place to EVERYONE coming out to Mexicali. Not to mention the room being very nice, roomy, clean, no concerns or complaints! Food is great! Lots of places nearby to eat also. I love love the pool are and how relaxing it is at night! I would give them 10 stars if it were allowed 😊

Great hotel in a perfect location at the right price. I stayed as an overnight guest for a wedding event that took place on the premises. The event staff had amazing service and the after party at the bar onsite was affordable and fun. The pool is a little bit disappointing, but otherwise I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Staff of warm and friendly and spoke Excellent English. A very enjoyable atmosphere!

My family of 3 visited here for my wife's fathers wedding. The staff at the hotel we're nice, but ANDRES that works in the cafeteria went WAY out of his way to explain things to us in English. He even went to each restaurant and grabbed menus for us and told us we can order from any menu and hell guarantee it'll all come at once. Exceptional employee, we were impressed.

I stay here every time I go to Mexicali I've probably stayed there 8 or 10 times it's always the same the food's good in the restaurants the prices are reasonable they have parking with security it's in the center of town very well located I think you would enjoy staying there it's a resort not a hotel

This is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of Mexicali. The facility is in very good repair the staff is excellent. All the services are above par. There are several restaurants on site to choose from. Everything is safe and secure and I look forward to staying here again..

Great place to stay, being staying here for over 30 years. Recently hotel was remodeled. Only draw back was elevators not working.

My stay was just fine. No problems at all everyone was very polite and well mannered. No problems on my end.

This hotel is one of the best hotels in Mexicali. I have stayed here several times. Rooms are clean, beds and pillows are comfortable and the grounds are well kept. They have at least three restaurants on site all top notch. I must add that the best attribute to the hotel is their personal, always attentive and ready to help. If there is one thing to keep in mind, if you want an area without noise stay away from rooms 701 thru 708. The bar is right outside so you will hear noise pertty much all day and the gym is directly below room 701. Other then that all good.

Staff very friendly! Most employees speak English. Beautiful rooms! The only issue is the a/c on one of the towers is share. Wish I could change/control individually. The 800 building doesn't share the A/C so.. I'll try to stay the next time. Besides this, very good hotel.

My favorite place to stay in Mexicali. Love the pool, grounds and staff. Rooms are nice and always clean. Have had showers that leak through door or don't drain fast, toilets that run all the time, but all minor annoyances to me. The staff, location, service and restaurants on site make up for the little nuisances. Love the Acqueducto Restaurant. Has kind of that old gangster vibe, service is great and it's dark and cozy. Decent wine selection. Have never had a bad meal or a terrible stay in 22 years. Free breakfast is good as well and room service is 24 hrs. Parking is convenient and the hotel is easy to find even if you're not familiar with Mexicali. I find the Lucerna far better than the City Express (across the street) or the Fiesta Inn, Calafia etc. And it's usually only $25 more on average. (I also stay at the Lucerna in Hermosillo.) I would give it 5-stars but they do need to fix the drains and some rooms need the lighting. For the price it's 5-stars!

El servicio e instalaciones son excelentes

Esta un poco retirado del parque industrial pimsa 4, y si deseas no gastar tanto en comida no comas en los restaurantes del hotel, pero el servicio y calidad en general es muy bueno. Lo unico que le falta es tener micro y refri en todas las habitaciones para esas noches de trabajo en el hotel.

I stayed at Lucerna for 2 nights and this hotel exceeded expectations. The gentleman at the fronk desk, Gilberto, was super friendly and extremly helpful in securing me a room at a decent rate (for the 2nd night after my flight was cancelled).
The gym and business center were both modern, comfortable, & clean. My favorite part of the stay was relaxing the bar area, with live music on Wednesday night. Breakfast buffet was tasty as well.
Highly reccommended!

Everything was nice, very beautiful hotel, great service. Only reason I didn't rate it a 5 star hotel is because the shower was clogged up and the water wouldn't go down the drain, also the water would get out of the shower and it just made a huge mess in the restroom. Other than that everything else was nice.

The staff was incredibly friendly. We stayed overnight and enjoyed their international restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was top notch! I'll definitely consider staying there again!

Beautiful grounds with comfortable rooms and really great A.C. in this 115+ heat. Really friendly staff and yummy food too.

Clean, pretty environment, rooms are comfortable but the service is irregular and the people at the lobby tend to ignore new patrons.

Very nice hotel buy they do have a live band on Thursday night. If you get a room next to the bar don't expect to sleep.

When we arrived the hotel was completely booked except for one suit! It was fairly priced and very nice and we would book that again. We always stay here the night before we cross the Mexico borer for our winter stay in San Felipe.

The staff there is excellent! Antonio, the bellman...the best! And I know hotels and bellmen!!!

Parking is convenient and they've recently remodeled the tower so there are more entrances if you park in the back. Room overlooked pool and was very comfy and nice. I find the Lucerna far better than the City Express across the street or the Fiesta Inn.

They take care of you and it's a first class for it to be in mexicali

Big and with many different options for rooms. Social events are also good there generally. Space for events is wide enough for people to attend

Estuve en el área de restaurante buffet en la mañana en un fin de semana y me ha encantado la comida y la atención del personal es muy bueno y atento. Los detalles que podrían mejorar: en la señalización (es mínima con la que cuentan) y su personal le falta comunicarse en inglés.

The service is AMAZING. If you decide to stay here I recommend staying in one of their bungalows. We started out in a regular room but switched once we saw one of the bungalows. Its quite an upgrade and the room is newer with great decor. The piano bar is relaxing and the steakhouse restaurant is simply stunning. Anytime we come back to Mexicali we will be staying here from now on.

The price is okay pool area is great and restaurant is alright. Close to a lot of fun places and shopping centers. Great location and the higher rooms have great view of Mexicali. The rooms are nice and well equipped staff is very responsive.

Friendly staff and well accommodating to those who speak Spanish as a secondary language. Beds are firm, but that's my preference so it worked well for me. The main entrance from the roadway can come up quick so keep an eye out for that archway into the parking, but if you miss it there's one more place to enter just a few meters down. The mini bar in the bungalow rooms are truly complimentary, no charge and they are happy to refresh some items. A cozy bar room area with prices, compared to an American hotel bar, were actually quite affordable. The air conditioning is a strong need in the hot summers and they do the job very well. Overall I'm very happy with my stay. I'd recommend it over several other places to stay in the area.

La verdad que todos los que trabajan aqui son super buena onda y muy atentos. Claro que regresare cada vez que vaya a Mexicali. Los del turno de la mañana nos ayudaron mucho y se nota que les importa mucho el cliente y tienen el entusiasmo perfecto. Gracias empleados del Lucerna! Nos vemos pronto!
