This was a very pleasant surprise. Great view and location. Superb service and convenient location. Breakfast had a nice variety of Japanese and Others (eggs, meats, etc.)

We booked this hotel for one night before our cruise of Japan and Taiwan. After the first night we were advised the cruise was postponed and then ultimately canceled. Fortunately, the hotel was able to accommodate our extra nights until we could get a flight back home. The front desk staff was very nice trying to help us get updated information on the status of the cruise and coordinated our luggage being moved into each new room. The hotel is rich with history and the rooms are super clean and comfortable. The park across the street is beautiful. Plenty of food options within walking distance. We will stay here again!

Classic style hotel. Rooms have been modernized. My room was on the end of the tower overlooking the park and the harbor. Also only a couple of blocks from great food in Chinatown. Highly recommended.

Clean, quiet, good size room and convenient location. Very helpful English speaking front desk staff.
Ask for a nice harbour view. We stayed there before going on the cruise ship at Yokohama port, there is a direct bus to Hanada Airport.

We stayed recently at the Hotel New Grand for 3 nights while in Yokohama. It was a very nice stay, the staff was wonderful and parking was very easy as it was virtually across the street at about $15 per day. Chinatown was nearby and we enjoyed ourselves walking around Chinatown. I loved that the shower was within the bathtub. Most of the staff were English speaking and the concierge was nice and helpful. I'd give it 4.5 Star to 5 out of 5 Star rating. I'd definitely come back again.

Very convenient location at the waterfront and walking distance to Chinatown. A classical hotel that emphasize on traditions. May be slightly pricey however the atmosphere is fantastic. It's a real traditional experience.

Excellent service. View over old harbour while breakfast is best start into the day. Slightly comming into out-of-age.

Check in is fast, courteous, and efficient. Staff is top notch. The best I've ever experienced at any hotel. The room is clean, the bathroom has excellent water pressure, the towels are soft. The bed is firm and comfortable, the pillows are good because they are not mushy or soft. The view is phenomenal. I had a corner room, 11th floor, facing the bay. Beautiful. The shops are well stocked with a mixture of high-end articles as well as small Japanese momentos. The original building is very interesting and many original finishes and decor remain. I haven't tried the bar or restaurants. The first night I was here, I called to the front desk because I needed an outlet near the bed. Maintenance (a female!) Responded within 10 minutes and brought me an extension cord to fix the situation. Service like this is non- existent in the U.S. it's a beautiful thing to experience the pride and commitment to service in this hotel. Highly recommend.

A little bit outdated. Excellent location, across the street from Yamashita Park and China Town. A direct bus to Haneda intl Airport.

平日のレストラン(ディナー)で利用しました。 横浜駅からタクシーを利用で1800円、15分程度で到着しました。 更衣室がかなり奥まったところにあり、わかりづらかったです。 レストランは山下公園が見えるテーブルでした。場所によってはみなとみらいがよく見えるテーブルもあったでしょう。 お料理は15000円のコース。4品プラスデザートと品数は多くはないですが、十分な量でした。

We stayed for a friends wedding. The staff were wonderful, the service was amazing, the rooms were beautiful. Highly recommend

From the 13th Floor we had a superb view of the harbor. Super clean and cozy room. Excellent A/C, firm beds, full amenities and attention to detail. Near shopping in Motomachi and fun in Chinatown. Many nice restaurants nearby, lots of Lawson’s and Family Marts. Since it was Golden Week we had front row seats to a parade and the Hotel gave us tickets to the Hikawa Maru across the street. Yamate Park is steps away, as is the cruise terminal- an easy walk.

Stayed overnight on the 11th floor Tower Bay View Double room. It has a beautiful view of Yamashita Park and Minatomirai. Both during the day and at night. The room unfortunately is too close to the road, so sounds of the intersection and cars makes it to the room. Our stay was at the end of April, and due to how the curtains are setup the sunrise passes under the curtains and hits the pillows like a laser beam at 4AM. So earplugs and eye masks are suggested.

Prefect hotel with great service, fantastic breakfast buffet. The omlet is absolutely to recommend. Everything is clean, you get a lot for you money! Every time again, loved staying here

A fabulous hotel. I would say the best hotel in Yokohama. A five+ star hotel. We stayed in a room where a famous Japanese writer stayed.

Nosalgic and a sense of an era of sophistication and elegance. Cozy anf warm, delightful cafe and right in front of the very special Yamashita Park.

Great location being right next to chinatown and shopping districts. Service is impeccable with extremely attentive staff. Price was also reasonable. Works highly recommend.

Beds were very hard. A/C pretty non-exist. Visited in winter and was told that if the room was too warm (it was) the best way to cool it was just to turn the air off, since even turning the temp down still blew out relatively warm air. Achieved only just barely acceptable temp for sleeping. Restaurants seem very nice, food good so far. Nice to have a large number of options. Excellent location in Yokohama. Would not choose this hotel for comfort.

Poor and insufficient air conditioning in my room which made the room hot and uncomfortable. Room is old and small.

The rooms have the typical Japanese size, but enough for staying overnight. They are clean, but not so modern, like the whole hotel. The service guys are friendly and willing to help you. Location is directly at China town and easy to reach via train

中華街からすぐの好立地。山下公園もすぐ。対応が丁寧で気持ちのよいスタッフが多く、快適に過ごせました。部屋は普通ですが、掃除はきちんとされている。景色がかなり素敵だった。氷川丸側はもっときれいだろうなぁ。氷が有料なので注意。朝御飯美味しかったです！

Super nice location, super nice and friendly staff. Rooms are good and spacious and fairly newly decorated.

Interior of hotel is good but certain design decisions of the room itself were weird. For example, the key had the room number written backwards, so for the room 705, even though the plaque outside the room says 705, the room key shows 507. In addition, the room's faucet was placed very far back so you had to push your hands to the back of the sink to reach the water.

Style, substance and class. Staff is perfection in their execution of their duity and the rooms are fit for any traveler. 10/10 No complaints at all. The walk through Chinatown from the station to get there makes it all the more fun.

My friend and I somehow lucked into getting 2 2-bed rooms for a quarter the price each, so I was a huge surprise to find that we had actually booked a 5 star hotel for the price of a 2/3 star. The room size is massive and the bathroom was almost the size of 1/3 of the room. The staff were very attentive (almost too much) and the view outside was of the harbor and adjacent park. I wish we had stayed longer.

Great location being right beside the waterfront and just a few blocks from Chinatown. Very friendly service and everyone speaks enough English. Depending on the room you get, ocean view is very nice. It is an older hotel, even in the tower. Although very clean, it is a little outdated ie no bedside plugins for cell phones. Some minor scratches on walls. Newspaper on the door in the moring without asking, quick service when adapter requested. Good hotel all round.
