- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Great location. Daughter loved the swimming pool! Lovely big rooms and the biggest sink I've seen in a hotel bathroom 😂.

The hotel is starting to show its age in the bedrooms. The reason It only has 4 stars off me is because the actual booking was a bit stressful and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The staff are 5 star. Even the cleaner stopped to say good morning. All in all good but have been to better.

Nice, if slightly 'traditional' hotel. I'm travelling in a large party and when we arrived one door wasn't working, so only a revolving door for 40 of us, and 2 lifts. We couldn't use the stairs because there was work being done on the atrium floor. This aside, however, Hilton hotels are usually of a good standard, and this one matched that.

Had an amazing time here and everyone I met was very helpful. The Groupon deal was superb. The use of the pool facilities is also half price at £6.00 when incorporated with this deal. I absolutely loved the hot stone treatment and we'll worth the additional cost to upgrade.

Visit in June for my mum's 70th birthday, excellent facilities and spa area. We had afternoon tea which was lovely , bit slow on the coffee and tea refills but good experience nonetheless. Breakfast buffet in morning was superb, excellent choice of food from cooked breakfast, pancakes and waffles, fresh cakes and pastries and fruit and cereal.

We were treated very nicely in this hotel. Our room was beautiful and had everything you need, save except for a decent TV (there was only a very limited choice of channels available). The health club (pool and gym) is free for residents of the hotel, so we relaxed there after a long day in Cardiff and enjoyed the steam room and the sauna. Breakfast was easily the best we had during our vacation, so much choice that it was difficult to decide what to eat. The location of the hotel is excellent, right next to Cardiff castle.

Spa day, facilities were good although the corridors or the hotel are looking a bit tired, scratches to woodwork and carpets lifting in some areas. Could be better. Afternoon tea served in the lobby was excellent. Overall a good day out that lacked a bit of polish to make it excellent.

A very competent business hotel. Rooms are modern and spacious, and well located near the main shopping street in town. 20m pool is nice, but the gym gets very busy at peak times as it is also open to non-hotel guests who subscribe.

Great hotel, good breakfast and friendly staff. The room was comfortable and spacious. My only criticism is that they always have one broken lift, so the wait to get up to your room can at times be 5 minutes plus. Other than that it was great.

Came down to stay at the Hilton Cardiff for a long weekend. The hotel is opposite the castle and the Crown Court.

I arrived at the Hotel at about 13:00 and optimistically asked if the room was ready to be told that it was.

The hotel has a great swimming pool.

I had room 717 on the 7th floor, which is bang opposite the executive lounge. The lounge had great views of the Castle. The lounge is only open in the evening between 18:00 and 20:00, also as had mean noted in other reviews the choice of food and drink is very limited. Other Hilton’s I have stayed in I did not need to eat in the restaurant for dinner. The breakfast had a good selection of fruit, I did not have the cooked option so I cannot comment on it.  The staff running the lounge were great.

I ate and drank in the bar and restaurant downstairs and the food was delicious.

All the staff that I met were all so helpful and friendly.

I intend to stay at this hotel again sometime.

I have a health club membership at the Hilton Cardiff and I am thoroughly impressed with the services on offer. The pool is big enough for lengths and the jacuzzi/steam room & sauna is a wonderful way to wind down after a work out. Locker rooms are decent, all furnished with showers, lockers, hairdryers, water fountains and bags to put your wet swim wear in. Overall would recommend.

Good hotel with nice staff. The rooms are a little tired but very clean. The gym small but the equipment is good. The breakfast buffet is very good, as is the evening restaurant. If ordering room service ask to order off the restaurant menu as it is 100 times better than the one provided in the room.

Nice hotel, great location right in the heart of the city, just round the corner from the main streets with bars and restaurants. Hotel has a decent pool with sauna and steam room. Visited yesterday and had the most fabulous afternoon tea. The sandwiches and cakes were amazing and the choices of tea was fantastic . I opted for the white pear and ginger and just loved it- loved the little egg timer that was provided so you could time the infusion and decide on the strength . What a lovely touch . Staff and the manager were super friendly - everything had a personal touch. Such a warm and friendly place to dine. I will definitely be back soon .

The view is excellent. Makes you forget about work in the evening. Has a wonderful lounge on the 7th floor with an amazing view. The restaurant is good, has a great ambience. Walkable distance to the town centre.

Negative for me is that it doesn’t have its own parking. You have to give the car to the hotel, so that they can park it for you. Remember to take anything you may need for the night.

Great location from which to explore Cardiff. There was a mistake with our booking, which was eventually resolved (and we had a complimentary drink as an apology), but it took quite some time. I wasn't very impressed with the spa facilities - very limited and the pool was quite cold. The rooms were pleasant and the beds were comfortable. The array of breakfast foods on offer was really good.

Good location for the city centre and the castle. The room was nice and included a fridge, an iron and ironing board and a trouser press. Bathroom was spacious, with a tub and separate shower. It was surprisingly quiet given the location so the soundproofing must have been good. The pool, Jacuzzi and sauna were decent but the steam room was tepid and steamless. And there wasn't a sign or other indication that it was malfunctioning. For the price we paid I expected a fresher breakfast. The scrambled eggs were congealed and the beans were thick from sitting under the heat light for too long. On the plus side, the selection of smoothies was nice.

I have stayed in most spa hotels in Cardiff & South Wales, this was my first stay at the Hilton. Absolutely blown away, the staff are incredible, delightful, so welcoming, it was unbelievable! From the amazing Terence & Nino at the front desk to Rob & Joel at the bar, who made my stay extra special. The beautiful room overlooking Cardiff castle, spotlessly clean & so comfortable & so quiet. The spa, lovely, relaxing & intimate! The food was out of this world & very reasonable! Gorgeous cocktails! I cannot wait to go back! Very very impressed!

30th birthday meal at Grey's went well on Sunday. Surprised my wife with a little treat.
A little bit weird having the specials stuck to our table with post it notes after we sat down.
Never had a choice of steak knives before.
After we had finished and requested for our drinks to be taken through to the bar, staff came over with a cup cake and sang happy birthday. Nice touch.
Ludo was very good and professional and made our night a good one.
Thank you

Nice Hilton, convenient for the castle. Parking is valet only and there's a ridiculously small area to drop cars off in. At busy times you make a lot of friends blocking a major road; fun to watch from your hotel room when it's not you, less fun when you're the one being shouted at.

Nice location, put parking facilities are non-existent. You have to use the valet parking, which at £25 a night, is REALLY steep. At least the wifi is free, (as long as you sign up for Hilton Honours)..!!!

Went here for honeymoon after being married to my husband. We are a gay couple. They left cupcakes with happy birthday written on them and a card for us saying congratulations "Mr and Mrs." There was hair in the bathtub that wasn't ours. A fantastically well located Hotel for visiting a Cardiff. Valet parking for those wishing to drive and not deal with inner city parking. Amazing staff where nothing is too much trouble. It is however starting to show its age, with certain areas starting to tire.

Upgraded to an executive room, which was nicely appointed with really comfortable bed. Bathroom was a bit dated, and shower pressure not great but everything was very clean. There is a lot of noise from the clubs nearby, even up on the 7th floor. You need a castle view room to avoid this (unless of course, you are out in the clubs, and then you won't care so much).

Reception quick but hard to understand her accent. Room lovely, clean, large. Air con very noisy in the room. Unfortunately we were on the side of the hotel next to the bars so didn't really get to sleep until about 4am due to the loud music and shouting drunks. Because of this we won't be staying again. 25 quid valet parking. Gym good. No special treatment for my gold membership status (i never ask for stuff). Location is spot on. Room big. Bed comfortable. Adjoining door to noisy people next door a bit annoying but not the hotels fault. Would come back but let's have some perks Hilton. What's the point of gold membership otherwise?

My wife end I spent the night of 26 August 2016 at the Cardiff Hilton. The hotel is beautiful, inside and out, perfectly located across from Cardiff Castle (definitely do both the self-guided and personally guided tours there) and steps from the surprisingly accessible city center with lots of restaurants, shops and a large performance center, St. David's Hall. Our room was large, bright, comfortable, very clean and had a view of the Castle. Our included breakfast was excellent and the staff in the dining room was always responsive, especially Katarczyna. The concierge and bell service were most helpful with handling of bags, loaning us an electrical converter, local directions and arrangements. Mark was especially cordial and helpful. They were able to quickly and easily arrange coach service to Bristol airport when I discovered I had not completed the reservation for 27Aug. I thought I had made before leaving home. We didn't have time to avail ourselves of the pool, Living Well health club and Razzi restaurant, but they look great on the hotel web-site. We did enjoy a quick lunch, with a wide variety of selections, at the Costa Coffee shop immediately adjacent to the hotel lobby. We would most definitely stay there again.

When we walked into the hotel we were greeted with a warm, but modern, atmosphere. The staff can be seen looking at us over the counter wearing smiles. They promptly invited us inside to shelter our group from the gusts outside and even offering us complimentary cookies! The check-in process was nice and easy and anyone with difficulties standing can rest your tired legs on the many seats seated along the walkway of the reception room. After that, we were given our keycards into the rooms which can be accessed through lifts. There are enough lifts there to satisfy even the 25 people group I was in so no problem there. The rooms were properly sign-posted and there were very helpful staff that helped us along the way. Thus, we arrived at our room.

Regarding the room, for a four star standard-sized room, it is on the small side. Despite that it has a TV, fridge, ironing board, iron, wardrobe, safe box, phone, digital alarm clock and hangers to name a few things. The beds are soft enough to keep you warm but hard enough to not hurt your back. Let's say the beds are on the soft end of the scale. One fault though, is that they are high. I cannot get on the bed without jumping up and I'm six feet (180cm) tall! So beware if any of you have knee problems, you might want to opt out for a smaller and harder, but lower side bed they supply.

I personally have no complaints about the toilet but it's not perfect. It is very spacious, about half the size of a standard room. The bath and the shower are separate. The sink is on the weird side. It is on a good height but not low enough for kids to use. Also it is a lone sink with no place to put things like toothbrushes or toothpaste on. So you'll have to put them somewhere further away than usual. The sink also has a sharp handle bar which, in my opinion, is not cleaned well enough during our stay. Despite all that, there is a very useful feature. In the bathroom there is a lone red string hanging down from the ceiling which is used for emergency purposes, say if you fell over and need assistance.

Our breakfast was a typical English buffet morning with free drinks and food included in our prices.

Overall the hotel is worthy of four stars although it tips towards three more than five.

Warm welcome. Place looks clean and room was spotless. Breakfast had a lot of selection, however some of the food was a little dried out. Spa was included and was an enjoyable experience. great location and superb service from the ladies doing the spa treatments ..however general service and customer service poor. Rather disorganised and dis interested staff on a day that I had been looking forward to for months.
