The Westin Cape Town

Memorable experiences await at The Westin Cape Town, a centrally located 5 star hotel. Enjoy exclusive rooms with unique views over the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain and the whole of Table Bay. The Westin offers 483 guest rooms and suites and the latest amenities for guests? total comfort and rejuvenation. The Heavenly Beds ensure a sound slumber for a restorative and productive stay. The Westin is a conference hotel with unmatched meeting, conference and banqueting venues offering 19 unique spaces. It offers some of the largest and sophisticated hotel conference and banqueting facilities in the city, as well as a connection to the CTICC. The culinary diversity will also delight with a selection of elegant restaurants and bars from our Thirty7 Showkitchen to the Westin Club with its panoramic views on the 19th floor as well the outdoor Louis B?s Terrace and indoor Raleigh?s Lounge and Bar.

A world-class urban centre, the diverse South African city of Cape Town blends rich historical heritage with cutting-edge new perspectives, as seen in its architecture and cultural pursuits. The flat-topped peak of Table Mountain forms a striking backdrop for this bustling metropolis, set on a peninsula of lush valleys and stony peaks at the meeting of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans.

With the Cape Town International Convention Centre right across the street, multiple corporations in the neighbourhood, and popular cultural and commercial destinations within easy walking distance, the hotel is ideally located for business and leisure. Take a stroll through historic old town or explore Long Street, the Cape Quarter, and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and Clock Tower. Discover a stylish collection of boutiques, barter at Greenmarket Square Flea Market, or be inspired by unique galleries, monuments, and museums. Experience a thriving nightlife of cafés, pubs, night clubs, and a diverse dining scene, grown from the city's rich multicultural history.

Short trips outside the city reveal the area's magnificent natural beauty. Area tours range from township and cape tours to Winelands tours, nature tours, and seasonal whale-watching excursions. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1999, nearby Robben Island housed Nelson Mandela during most of his 27-year prison sentence. Weather permitting, tours of the island's museum and conservation area are very popular and may require booking far in advance.

If you have time to explore further, several safari lodges are found approximately two hours outside of Cape Town. For those seeking thrilling adventures, extreme sports such as sky diving, shark cage diving, motor boat harbour trips, and more, are offered by multiple companies around Cape Town.

Absolutely loved my stay here. Also it is somewhat rare for a Westin Hotel to be a "Five-Star Hotel" so I will admit I was skeptical at first but my expectations were most certainly exceeded. The room as a whole was nice. We stayed in the biggest room (Forgot the name). The decor was bland in typical Westin fashion, but elegant in nature. Funny enough the room had a separate office with a full computer and printer (LOL). The exceptional hotel service was evident from the moment we stepped off the plane at CPT as a staff member was present ready to collect our luggage and escort us to the BMW X5 which took us to the hotel. Would stay again! Breakfast in the lounge is superior to say the least! GOOD LOCATION!

I am only giving this hotel a 3 star rating as they need to pay attention to their service. The rooms are very nicely appointed . Ours was a little dark but never the less very comfortable.
I visit Cape Town from once a year up to three times a year. This is my first visit here. The breakfasts are good with a wide choice of things to eat.
This hotel lacks in good service from their staff. It’s impersonal and too big to give outstanding attention to guests. I walked passed their managers many times and did not get greeted. Every time a guest appears before one there should be a greeting. I understand that this is a business hotel that caters for large conventions but I will not be staying here again. Far to cold and impersonal for my needs.

One of the best hotels I stayed in around the world. Clean, safe and has great service. Next to the conference center if you are attending one. Great location with a view of the table top. Nice spacious rooms and new tech facilities in addition to the usually expected amenities.
Recommended.

Had a lovely time here. We stayed for one night and was pleasantly surprised by the happy hour in the Executive Lounge on the 19th floor. Staff were friendly and there was a large variety of snacks. We also had a delicious buffet breakfast the next morning. Would definitely recommend it and visit again.

Amazing level of service and facilities with sweeping views of Table Mountain and the harbour. The spa is, like it's namesake, heavenly, which includes a sauna that looks out to the sea.

Easy luxury drinking...

The Westin is a wonderful space, don't let my rating distract you. I was only there passing bye and it filled my need at that particular point in time, and I am sure it will peak my interest more in my next visit.

Had an astonish expirience @ On19 Restaurant Westin Cape Town, as we were walking inside the restaurant were welcomed warmly by the hostess with great sense of humor. Coline Gonzo which was our waitress welcomed us with an open heart. She took us through the entire menu and she is very informative, brilliant and well trained. The starter was delicious my main course was mouthwatering i definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone whom love good food.
Lastly the view Goodness me is amazing navigating the entire beauty of mother city.

The views from this hotel are absolutely stunning. The V&A waterfront , table mountain and city center is highly visible from this location. I spent two nights and had restful night's sleep in their comfortable bed, which unusual for me. The breakfast was delicious, but what stood out the most for me was the breakfast bowls from directly from their menu , I highly recommend you try it. Although the rooms are large and spacious, they could use some modernizing. I did love the bathroom, very spacious and modern.

7

Hotel starting to look a little worn though only noticeable if you have stayed there over the years as I have. Staff and service superb though. Cut back on variety of free drinks on offer in lounge happy hour very disappointing and frankly a little cheap on the hotels side. Located in a good spot close to town and Waterfront (easy walking distance) but quiet as away from main drag except convention center.

One of the worst hotels that I have her stayed in. It was absolutely disappointing to experience service like we did at the West in Cape Town. Suppose to be a 5 star but I would rate it a 3 star. Also disappoiting that it is part of the Marriott group and you would expect to receive international standards. Complained to the manager and have had no response to date. One of the most unprofessional, inexperienced managers I have come across. Came back the one afternoon about 4pm to find that our room was not cleaned. He promised to do an investigation and get back to me still has not. Would rather stay in a city lodge in future and receive better service.

very good quality of the rooms, nice running program in the mornings. the only downside is the shuttle to the V&A: it's totally rubbish, never on time and no one on reception cares. You can never get any info on what it will arrive or not.

Very nice hotel. Modern, clean & sophisticated. Let down by the slow service at breakfast and then having to pay for parking (without being told at check-in)

4

Poor in so many ways. The hotel looks like it should be new, but already it is dilapidated. Service is slow...getting a bucket of ice takes about an hour on average. The executive lounge can't get a simple omelette right. Turkey is seemingly a reasonable substitute for bacon. There are much better places in Cape Town.

This is an very well built and attractive hotel. It offers alot and had great quality. It Can feel a bit stiff because it attracts guest that are in business or work. The decor is a bit boring and basic but does its job. The dissapointment is mainly in then cleanliness as my hotel room was not properly client twice

Typical Westin hotel. Good breakfast buffet. The shuttle is useful for going to VA waterfront for shopping and restaurants. Immediately across the street from the convention center. Use Uber for getting around for better price than cabs.

The services are excellent. At arouubd 8pm when I checked in, I requested my business suit to be pressed and returned by 8am the following day. Situated in the heart of Cape Town with easy access to the V&A waterfront as well as beautiful views of Table Mountain, this magnificent hotel has everything to offer. The hotel is also directly across the road from the CTICC. The rooms are large clean and well maintained. The staff are all very well trained and extremely helpful and friendly. If you are planning a conference here the service is very hard pressed to be beaten. The restaurant food is amazing. A truly wonderful and enjoyable stay.

The Westin in Cape Town is the main location for business in the area. Situated next to the convention center, the clientele seemed mainly to be business with a good healthy amount of tourists as well. The rooms were good and obviously a view out to the ocean is best. This is not on the waterfront which requires a walk or a cab but it is convenient for a walk up into Cape Town (stay in safe areas). The breakfast is good and room service was also good.

I didn't have any problems with my room but colleagues raised some complaints about shower, light bulbs. They were fixed on the next day and colleagues received bootle of wine.

I spent good time over there. 4/5 because of very small gym.

7

Nice and centrally located. Free shuttle bus down the the V&A Waterfront is great. Executive floor lounge is great and canapes after 5 were delicious. Views from the restaurant on Level 19 over the city and towards Table Mountain are unrivalled. View from rooms though are a little disappointing, the waterfront has a dockland/industrial look. Buffet breakfast in the hotel is one of the best I've had. Fantastic selection.

We went for a spa day and it was awesome. What made me pick them above some other places was that you can use the fisilities like swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi even if your having a single treatment. Staff were friendly (as one would expect in a spa) and the fisilities were pristine (again as one would expect in The Westin)

Stayed here on Business, and its a fantastic location for Cape Town. Superb Facilities and spacious property. There used to be a ferry to cart you to the V&A Waterfront when it was the Arabella but not any more...A pity but still a fantastic place. For the Businessman and/or trend setter, its a worthy choice

Great location in the city centre. Spacious room but some facilities in the room are dated. You always need your room key to get into your own floor. The in-room TV is new and trendy, it is actually a Samsung smart TV, which you can surf the internet. The free wifi for guests is easy to use, also, it is speedy and stable.

Absolutely memorable experience!

The pool was closed for scheduled maintenance so my plans within the hotel were doomed, until I met a gentleman called Johnny Mosia who showed me other wonderful offers in the hotel that kept me busy and entertained. Thank you Johnny! The champagne breakfast on Saturday was a splendid surprise...

The view from the gym made me look forward to my workout. A welcome result is my vacation did not show on my hips:)

I was there for 3 days and 2 nights for a nursing conference. Great number of staff who are polite. The room was big and the bathroom was beautiful. Great servers.

We spent one night at The Westin to catch John Cleese's performance at the CTICC and still consider this the best hotel in Cape Town. The staff are amazing; the customer service and attention to detail is first-rate; the facilities from the pool to the parking are spotless; the suites are as you'd expect: huge, luxurious and cozy - did I mention huge? The meals were superb (and we've got a few fussy eaters amongst our lot) and the wine selection was top-notch - local and lekker. The only regret I had was that I filled up on treats from the minibar early in the morning and didn't leave enough space to take full advantage of the breakfast. I was dared to try the spinach and papaya smoothie, and for someone who doesn't like either of the two, it went down extremely well. Looking forward to our next stay at The Westin in November.
