A wonderful stay! Julea was always very friendly and definitely went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed. She even gave us tips on where to go and where to look for our new home since we just relocated.

I highly recommend staying here and the front desk staff is very helpful if you run into any issues.

The Monday-Wednesday social hour is a great way to meet people and they provide food and drinks!

I was very happy with my stay here, and I will definitely recommend it to any of my friends visiting from out of town.

Stayed here six weeks and had a really great hotel experience. This is a full service property, always very clean, with a attentive and generous staff. Fully equipped; if you want something, just ask. Plenty of dining and shopping choices with nearby pharmacies.

The staff here is excellent. I've been in San Diego area for a week now and I wish I would've know about this place all along. I will be making this chain my hotel of choice from now on.

The rooms are comfortable, and come with a kitchenettes. The hotel has in sight laundry, a small fitness room, and a breakfast buffet every morning. A good place for extended stays.

Continental breakfast was great need to put receipts in envelopes that you put up under the room doors, that way other people don't see your private information

Great place all around. I went with some colleagues after work and we were treated like kings. The food was good, the beer was cold, and the environment was the best we saw in the area. I really enjoyed it.

We love staying in Staybridge Suites all over and this was our first time at this location. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and check it was very smooth. Everything seemed fine the first night but in the morning we discovered the kitchen counters full of ants. Maintenance responded fast and wiped the counters down with windex. We came back to the room that evening and didn’t check the counters but next morning the ants were back. In addition the stove didn’t work and there wasn’t even a toaster in the room. For the amount of money we paid for the room I expect better conditions and I hope I am contacted by someone from Staybridge about these problems.

Rooms are clean and everything works well. Hotel staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Pets allowed for additional $50 fee. Free laundry room, wish it was a bit larger to accomodate more guests at a time. Free breakfast buffet every morning and free appetizers/drinks M-W was nice, but we did wish there were more vegetarian options for food. Business center computers available with printer, which was convenient. We didn't use fitness center or pool but they're available. Overall a good place for a long-term stay while moving.

The rooms have full refrigerator, microwave, heating plate and dishwasher kitchen which was great. Sleeping/living area was large as well as the bathroom/vanity area. Hotel grounds we're kept well. Only issues were the amount of parking available when hotel is booked (need to be back at the hotel before 8:30 pm or parking on the nearby street will be the only option); the breakfast was not as good as other stay bridge hotels I have stayed in before.

While I did not stay here, personally, I have a friend who stayed here that I went to visit. The staff was very friendly. They are there for an extended stay while their house is being worked on and it seemed as if the staff is extra kind. They check on them and interact well with the kids. The rooms with the bedroom and separate living/kitchen area are also very spacious.

Overall good experience. My kids enjoyed playing in the basketball court. Friendly staffs. Clean and quiet facility. Good location. Definitely I’d stay again.

Holy cow, this place is amazing. Thoughtful amenities, comfortable room, excellent service, great breakfast. I was disappointed that I only needed to stay one night.

The rooms are very nice and spacious for the price. Breakfast buffet is fantastic, just wish the dinner buffet was available Thursday and Friday too.

Pretty decent hotel; friendly staff. Unfortunately, some people don't clean up after their pets, so the entrances smell and are littered with landmines. During my stay, some knucklehead's car alarm went off every day for an hours at a time. I mentioned it to the staff but it continued to happen. UPDATE: staff did get the horn blower under control. Many thanks for the peace & quiet!

Great hotel, staff was very nice and respectful. Tucked away off the I-15 in a nice quiet spot. Walking distance to many different restaurants, sit down or fast food. Shopping also close, there's pretty much anything you need within walking distance.

The front desk person were patience and helpful. I dint have a good experience with their housekeeping services. Complimentary breakfast everyday and complimentary dinner on 3 weekdays

We got a group discount for my friend's wedding. It was a great deal and the service, food and coffee were great! The whole venue was very good and I would definitely come back. I slept well in the bed and the temperature control was on point. Opening the windows isn't much of an option but it sure is loud out there so it wasn't too important.

Excellent facility. Clean, well furnished and maintained. If this is an example of IHG properties you gave hit the mark on one of your objectives. Individual helping me on lodging needs quickly found what was needed. Reason for a 4 star rating is due not experiencing breakfast which look like will be great bit I will not know until morning.

Rooms are great. Clean with plenty of amenities. Pool, small gym, complimentary breakfast is the best I've had so far.

It was a clean place and had good breakfast. The bed was a little hard and the pillows were too soft. However it was overall an ok place to stay.

Wow! Thoroughly impressed. Maybe it's because my typical weekend trips have been motel stays, but for only a few extra bucks to can clearly see the difference. The room isn't huge, but it's clean and well-stacked for lengthy stays - dishes, a full refrigerator, a small electric stove. Instead of toast and watered down juice it's a (small but) legit buffet with juices, coffee, eggs, potatoes, and a waffle iron. It's out of the way enough that you're still a bit of a ways from the big San Diego attractions, but close enough to Torrey Pines and I-15 that they're only a short trip away. Also, everyone here has been super nice. Like, almost too nice. Great staff, clean rooms, and great breakfast. Very good stay for what you pay!

We had a very nice stay, considering we were in town for a funeral. Pros: The staff was very nice and professional The breakfast was excellent The rooms were spacious Comfortable beds Quiet They had umbrella s to borrow. Nice TV's Cons: Very low water volume in the shower, but CA was in a major drought.

Excellent value! The amenities at this place were wonderful. An extremely friendly and helpful staff who care about their customers and do their job with pride. Ken and Marilyn are top notch! The evening social dinners on Monsay Wednesday are a really nice touch to making your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I absolutely recommend staying here.

This hotel has various suites up to and including two bedroom with kitchenette and a living room. They have a basketball court, heated outdoor pool, free laundry services ( you have to provide your own detergent ), workout room with two treadmills, an elliptical machine, and a workout bench with free-weights up to 35 lbs. They provide complimentary breakfast 7-days a week and dinner Mon-Wednesday. The staff are extremely friendly and they will go out of their way to accommodate you. Because there are a lot of corporations nearby that use Staybridge as corporate housing, they also provide temporary storage facilities free upon request. I will have been a guest here for a total of 60 days. For long term guests, the staff do a complete clean on the week-anniversary of your check-in and you have the option to refresh your towels, linens, and vacuum daily as standard room service. I would highly recommend this establishment.

I often stay at this hotel chain because of the kitchen and other ammenities. Room was clean and comfortable, but room was missing basic kitchen items like a skillet. It took them over an hour to find one from storage or another room.

Spacious, clean, modern rooms with good amenities and an excellent bathroom. Breakfast buffet is free but not great.

So my girlfriend and I have used Staybridge suites before and this time was for a buddy's wedding. At first it was ok but our last morning the fire alarm goes off for a second then turns off. Also at around 11:30 AM we get a call asking if we are staying or checking out because checkout was at 11:00 AM as I'm looking at the sign that says checkout is at 12:00 noon. The front desk was pretty "snooty" about it but allowed us to stay till 12:00 I don't think this has completely turned me away from Staybridge in general but there are better hotels in that area.

Clean, roomy, sofa, distinct mini kitchen area in room. Great staff. Breakfast area has hot food items along with a great selection of cerials, friuts, bread, waffels etc. large drink selection but small cups.

Stayed here a couple times. Solid hotel that's just a quick trip to all things San Diego. Your 15 min from downtown, balboa park, the zoo and Petco Park. 15 min to Encinitas and the Carlsbad area. There are so many stores and shps close by... As for the hotel, rooms are clean, comfortable and very spacious. Staff is friendly... and lastly hotel is pet friendly.

I've stayed at the Rancho Bernardo Staybridge Suites many times over the course of the past 4 years. Their attention given to their customers is what kept me coming back. However, that attention as steadily decreased over the course. I'm currently booked there and am checking out tomorrow as a result of the decline in attention.
The weekday social dinners offered was one of the main reasons I started coming here. The decline in food/beer offerings is one of the main reasons for this review. As well, the decline in room cleanliness and upkeep is another reason.
Hopefully their attention to detail improves to the standard found at other Staybridge Suites locations.

My family and I stayed been living at the Staybridge Suites for 57 days, so I have a lot to say about it. Overall, this is a pretty nice place to stay for a week or so. In this review, I’ll layout my experiences with the front desk staff and housekeeping, the amenities of the rooms, the breakfast and happy hour, and the amenities open to all guests. The staff is friendly, the rooms are a good value, and the hotel is walking distance to many restaurants.

FRONT DESK STAFF. The people at the front desk are always pleasant and courteous to guests. They always have a smile and greet me when I come and go. Checking in was really easy. They made sure we had a crib ready to go in our suite. Because Staybridge is a short-term home for most guests, they accept mail and packages for guests. Staff takes good care of packages delivered to the hotel.

There are a few areas the front desk staff can improve. First, they need to make sure complaints from guests are acted upon. On several occasions, we had problems with plumbing in our room or in the laundry room, which were never relayed to the personnel who would actually fix the problems. The most frustrating time was the lack of response to issues with the washing machines, as describe in more detail below.

HOUSEKEEPING does a good job at keeping the rooms clean. Some days they don’t show up, but that is no big deal. They make the bed and replace used towels with clean ones on a daily basis. While it’s nice to always have fresh towels, this practice can’t be very good for the environment. I’d prefer they only replace towels placed on the floor, and let us reuse the ones we hang up to dry.

BREAKFAST. One of the best things about staying here is the free breakfast. There is usually all of the traditional continental breakfast stuff, such as eggs, waffles, melons, and coffee. The main protein choice varies daily, but is usually some sort of egg. Some of the egg dishes are gross, such as the scrambled eggs or the omelet with just American chees inside. However, the southwest style omelet they serve on Saturdays is great. The breakfast is manned by usually only one person, so it’s common to see the employee running around trying to keep up with the demand of the guests. The staff here is always helpful and friendly.

Staybridge holds a happy hour Tuesdays through Thursdays. The food is sufficient to make a full dinner. They offer pizza, hamburgers, chicken nachos, etc. Many guests get their money’s worth from the open beer tap. Guests can pour Karl Strauss Red Trolley or KS Summer Brew.

ROOMS. There are regular studio rooms, 1-bedroom suites, and 2 bedroom suites. We’ve tried both of the bedroom suites. If you have children, you really need 2 bedrooms. The 1 bedroom suite has a French door separating the living room and kitchen from the bedroom. However, you can open the door by pushing on it, and it does not offer any privacy. The 2-bedroom suites have real doors separating the rooms. Each room has an apartment-sized fridge, sink, dishwasher, and a stovetop. No ovens. They come with some utensils, pots, and cups. If you stay longer than 30 days, San Diego considers you a resident. At that point you get refunded all of your local hotel taxes paid for the prior 30 days ($20+/night).

LAUNDRY. There are free laundry machines on the first floor, but they are horribly dirty. There are 4 washers and 4 dryers. Using the machines will make your clothes dirtier, not cleaner. We had white socks come out pure black. We complained to the front desk on two occasions, but nothing was done. We needed to do some laundry, so we complained again. The front desk guy gave my wife some towels and soap, and said, “go for it.” Even after spending an hour scrubbing out the machines with cleaner and bleach, and running a rinse cycle, they still turned white clothes black.

The pool is clean and fun for the kids to play in. There is rarely anyone at the pool.

Staybridge Suites San Diego Rancho Bernardo is first class all the way. The management and staff are friendly. The hotel is very well maintained and located near a variety of retail and entertainment venues. This is the kind of place where you can really unwind. Great breakfast, Free Wi Fi, and super comfy rooms. For the price this is the place to be. I will most certainly recommend this property to all my associates.

Where do I start with this wonderful property?? This is easily the most accommodating I have ever been to. From the moment I arrived (at 2:30am mind you) every employee was extremely polite and every hotel policy was designed to make my stay comfortable and as close to a stay at home as possible.

The front desk attendant checked me in quickly and politely and then even gave me a little free toothpaste since I'd forgot mine. And then, the room was perfect. A living space, a full kitchen, a big bathroom and sink space, great heating and cooling, and a bunch of TV channels including HBO.

Some of the other highlights were: GREAT continental breakfast with waffles, eggs, and ham in addition to the standard stuff, a beautiful patio with a fireplace, a really nice pool with comfortable seating, a sport court with a great basketball hoop, and NOON CHECKOUT!

This place is great and you should definitely stay here. I give it my highest recommendation.

I had to house a renter while their rental unit was temporarily unavailable because of some flood damage. Scott and Nicole did an outstanding job accommodating my renters, were flexible and responsive when dates had to change and most of all were pleasant to work with during a stressful situation. I wish most businesses in San Diego would treat people this nicely.... Super Job...a million thanks.
