Love Orchids Restaurant. Went with the chef's tasting and wine paring. While it was a $500 dinner for my wife and me...it was an amazing anniversary dinner experience. Amazing service and equally amazing view. Try it, you'll like it.

Hotel Is very good. Although the installations are a little outdated, everything is kept in great shape. Common areas are beautiful. The bar is quite comfortable and invite to stay. Live jazz is very nice. Staff is super helpful and friendly.

What can I say elegance and sophistication right in the center of Waikiki. Great restaurants and spa right within steps of each other. 1st class concierge with answers for all of your needs. Relax by their crystal clear pools enjoy your favorite beverages and enjoy the beautiful ocean views. Nightly entertainment in the Lewer's lounge. Be on the alert for beautiful wedding parties a treat to see.

Absolutely amazing hotel! We had a great experience when we came for our honeymoon. Got a welcome champagne. The token gifts they leave every night after the turn down service is very nice! Highly recommended

I dined at house without a key. The staff were accommodating to my needs. The music was nice, the view was gorgeous. I did have hard time hearing what they would say. I wish the mic was a little louder. Overall, it was an enjoyable time.

Attended a wedding anniversary event there this weekend. The food was decent, the service was great! The grounds were beautiful, I wish I had known we could have made use of some of the amenities, but alas (10 hr parking validation!). Was most amused by the bidets in the restrooms. :D

Attended an early evening wedding ceremony and the place is fantastic. The venue is definitely romantic, beautiful ocean view and the service is spot on and prompt. The setup for a buffet dinner is very quaint island style, food is of wide variety and simply delicious! Well done Halekulani!!!

Wonderful, worth the splurge. Dine outdoors at House Without a Key, especially at sunset and then under the stars is like a magical dream, unforgettable. The rooms are havens of comfort. Small beach, but easy walk to the rest of Waikiki, a nice stroll. Staff greets you by name on the phone, eager to help.

Hotel AC in our room was filled with mold for our first 3 weeks there. Took them a week after discovery to get a proper remediation company out and clean it. took that crew 8 hours to do so. In the meantime, they refused to change our room. Made us both ill. Not a good experience. towards the end of stay they changed our room to just above a floor under construction. Even the glasses in the room rattled. They also could not remember a simple request to not bring any thing for consumption with gluten and not to bring latex products in room due to significant medical issues with those substances. They need to seriously rethink their customer service.... Much could be improved.

Always enjoy coming here. The food is excellent and the staff is always helpful. I was here for a wedding and forgot the gift in the car when we valeted, but they were nice enough to go to the car for me and get it.

We stayed there for our honeymoon and enjoyed every single moment there! The staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The property was very well maintained and beautifully designed and decorated. We definitely will go back again to celebrate our anniversary in the future.

Amazing hotel. Staff is very accommodating. Hospitality room available until your room is ready. Secure floors and property. House without a key buffet breakfast offers everything you can think of to eat. Concierge is extremely helpful. Hotel is on the beach. Pool is beautiful.

The hotel’s facilities(outside pool, restaurant, live performance, coffee bar) are great. Halekulani signature pool is very pretty. However, I think their rooms are over-priced when compared to other 5-star hotel’s. I found the room was so small without any view although we did choose a room with a garden view. We had to pay more to upgrade to a partial ocean view to see its garden. If you are okay with a small sized room, this hotel would be nice! There are many staff who are not fluent in English, but Japanese.

Most friendly staff, was like a home away from home. House keeping comes twice a day, gives you fresh towels and as much bottled water as you need per day. We had 5 rooms as we were on a family holiday, each room was perfect, amazing views of the pool and ocean. So clean. Thank you for making our stay one to remember, we will be back!!!!

This was not our first stay at Halekulani. We our annual visitors and always have a fantastic visit and feel right at home. The staff feels like extended family. Particularly the House Without A Key staff at breakfast, the pools staff and Auntie Melba who leads the Friday morning Back of the House tours. This hotel is an oasis amidst the chaos of Waikiki with direct beach access. Luxury at its finest. They were doing construction on some of the rooms so it was noisy and not as polished looking as usual while we were there and we ended up getting stuck in an elevator. Thus, the 4-star rating. Otherwise, this is an absolutely lovely place to stay. I highly recommend it.

We went to the restaurant for our auntie's late birthday celebration. . The server names James were great! Attentive, patient and knowledgeable with menus and specials. Their valet staffs to concierge teams all of them are excellent with their customers service except for we felt ..the one of severs who's kept refilling water n take away our dishes who needed to be retrained his service skills. He kept splashing water on our laps, abruptly coming between Us to collect the dishes I know he didn't do it on purpose but it just felt he wasn't careful either...👎

Best service at a hotel I've ever had!

Had my wedding there and it went so smooth I barely had to do a thing. The staff from the hotel were attentive, polite, and very efficient.

Our room was beautiful and highly recommend staying here.

We made a last minute decision on Sunday morning to have brunch at Orchids based on recommendations and reviews.
We did not have a reservation and my voice to you is this:
"If you don't have a reservation DO NOT GO HERE."
We were treated VERY impolitely by the hostess staff.. casual cold is how I would best describe our reception.
We were seated in a side room with about 10 tables across the lobby from the buffet. Away from the ocean view, away from the piano, away from the food. Basically put into the back yard.
As I looked around we were dressed like most of the other guests and there were empty tables throughout our meal.
So, we spent $138. for brunch for two people, $64. for four mimosas, a decent gratuity since the server was good enough and had nothing to do with our initial treatment.
I mentioned our concern to the manager on duty with a fairly concise and detailed explanation of how we were treated and of our feelings. He spoke not one single word to me in response. All I got was a meaningless nod- equally as dismissive as the two hostesses.
As far as food goes, it was just exactly like each and every other high end brunch I've ever had in a similar hotel environment. It was good, it had big variety, and would have been a pleasant experience under better circumstances.
I realize we did not have reservations but some communication would have been welcomed about why we were seated in a completely different and remote area. Again, away from the ocean view, away from the food, away from the piano, and essentially not in any way a part of the brunch activities ... yet, at full price. If they didn't want to serve us for whatever reasons, then they could have just said they were booked. They did not. They took our money, stuck us in a back room, and took our money.
In summary, we spent right at $260. for brunch and were denied the view and the overall experience that we had expected and hoped for.
We just won't ever plan on doing this again and have a very negative feeling towards this hotel in general so it will be OFF the list of options of places to stay on future trips.

Orchids restaurant in the beautiful Halekulani hotel. Dress code, beautiful food plates. Nice, very nice restaurant. Only issue was we were the last seating and they ran out of fancy fish dishes. They replaced it with salmon which was less fancy. Overall great experience still.

Had Sunday brunch at orchids restaurant. Food, service and atmosphere were great. Worth 70 dollars of you can eat a lot. If not, may not be worth it. Quality of items were pretty good. My favorite was the suckling pig.

I've stayed at this hotel twice and especially enjoyed my last visit for Christmas. It occupies a beautiful stretch of beach in Waikiki. Its a short walk to just about anywhere you need to go in town. The main restaurant and bar has a mainstage that hosts the best Hawaiian band in town. The rooms would benefit from a rennovation but the lobby and surrounding grounds are flawless. Hopefully, you're spending time outside the room in this island paradise.

From check in to our sad check out this hotel has customer service and a luxurious ambience down. Our room was beautiful, opening up to a gorgeous courtyard, pool, and ocean view. There was champagne chilling for my husbands birthday and the ice bucket was full each evening. The bed and bath were immaculate and elegant. We dined twice at House Without a Key and had a lovely dinner and sunset with fabulous live entertainment- different groups each night. We were so disappointed to leave for Maui and none of our subsequent hotels could measure up. Cannot wait to return!

This review is for House Without a Key: I came here for an after-valentine's day dinner with my girlfriend. Drinks were great, the Mai tais are really as good as they say. Food was good, perhaps a little expensive. The atmosphere was remarkable! Great view and live music made for a great time

Very magical place. We stayed at the ocean front room on our honeymoon. You'll see beautiful ocean, diamond Head, sunset, with sound of waves and birds. In the evening, they have very classy Hawaiian music and hula show at the terrace downstairs by the beach. We could hear and enjoy the music from our Lanai in the evening. It was magical. Staffs are very attentive, and makes the stay very pleasant. Bed is heavenly. Highly recommend to stay there on special occasions.

Had dinner in one of the ballrooms for a fundraising event. Dinner was great, service was excellent. Grounds are clean. Hotel is high class (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) with immaculate gardens and grounds. Restrooms are clean with bidet toilet seats. Hotel is on Waikiki beach strip, with ample shopping, restaurants and swimming. Expect to spend some money.

Met friends who were guests at the hotel for a late lunch at "House Without A Key", the Halekulani's casual dining establishment. Food & drinks were great and their service top notch!! Highly recommend dining here for any meal, especially nice as it was open for "off-hour" dining. Warm & friendly attentive staff and their moist & flavorful coconut cake is out of this world! Beautiful views of the ocean, and if you dine there in the late afternoon/evening there is very fine Hawaiian entertainment (music & hula) performed by well known local talent.

Wonderful resort...they treat every guest like they are the most important person in the world. Special souvenirs and treats are left in the room each day and there are wonderful tours, entertainment and outings included. In the heart of Waikiki, but on the ocean, so it is peaceful.

We stayed here for 2 days for our wedding off property. It was simply the best experience we have ever had at any resort. The staff seemed to know what we needed before we even did! Theresa at the front desk answered every question and even found our missing champagne flutes! We will most certainly be returning!

The bar next to orchids is a great place to spend an evening having a drink, listening to the pianist, and indulging yourself in the best cake on the planet (the coconut cake). The cake is absolutely amazing, and I can't say enough about it - just go try it.

Absolutely one of the best experiences in the world. I have never seen better service. Staff was the perfect blend between kind and professional. Second to none!

We had our 10 year wedding anniversary dinner at orchid's restaurant. It was an amazing experience and my wife was over the moon. The wait staff and chef were incredibly attentive, helpful and patient. The food was exquisite. And they really helped to celebrate our anniversary with their delicious signature coconut cake.

The hotel was amazing. The staff was all very nice and pleasant. Our room was on the 7th floor and did not face the ocean, but the balcony had a nice view of the ocean. Breakfast buffet included all of the essentials as well as fresh juice. The fitness gym has dumbbells on top of regular gym equipment. The hotel sits right on the beach too so you have amazing ocean views from most of the resort. The only downside was the slow pace but that's more of a lifestyle adjustment rather than bad service.
